The portions for the sandwiches are minuscule. Got the "Skokie Blvd." sandwich, which was supposed to contain Nova Lox. Got one slice of lox that barely covered half the bagel and enough lettuce, tomatoes and onions to cover a quarter. (Sandwich was priced at $8.95) Returned the plate, asked for more food for the price I was paying, got another equally small slice. Though they added more veggies, there was also a piece of straw included in there (paper wrapping and all). I pointed this out to the cashier, who explained that the straws they receive are too long, so they cut the ends off them and apparently use them as sandwich toppings. The practice of cutting straws (potentially contaminating them) and the fact that a straw made it into food that was being served, brings up serious questions of cleanliness and health code. The atmosphere is that of a European cafe yes, but thats no excuse to serve food that is overpriced and poorly prepared just because of that title. I recommend that the management take a good look at how theyre running the cafe and what quality of food they are putting out. 0/5 Would not recommend.

My iced mocha was great. I ordered a breakfast sandwich (for lunch), and it came with a real egg with a slightly runny yolk - way better than most bagel breakfast sandwiches where eggs are pre-cooked and microwaved later. Co-workers mentioned the panini arent as good as other options, so selection might matter, but my experience was five stars! The price also seemed comparable to other places.

Im giving this 5 stars based on the iced coffee and the great employees here. I also had a "Dempster Wrap" on a gluten free wrap. They get 5 stars also for having gf options. The wrap itself gets 4 stars for the gf wrap, but Im not really complaining. Next time Ill try one of their sandwiches on a gf roll. The outside courtyard is lovely too.

Great new place in Skokie. Coffee was outstanding and the service was friendly. Didnt get a chance yo sample the food or the Gelato, but everything looked great from what I could see. It was obvious that a lot of care was taken wirh the overall design and decor, and the place has a fantastic outdoor seating area too. A welcome addition to Skokie!

The customers services was dead, he just stood there and looked at my face! The chocolate pastry was horible, it was dry like mud. I am sure it was damn old. I came in here with high expectations looking at the reviews. I threw the cake in the bin, and it was 4$. You guys nees to get it right. The cake was gross!!!! The place was not inviting.

This place is fairly new. It is really nice and the customer service is really nice. I liked eating outside while the weather was nice. But I still cant comment on the food yet. Need to have more. What I ate was small and average and a bit expensive, but I will go back to try some more stuff. I do love the abidance that was created

This little Cafe is perfect for eating delicious food in a calm and quiet atmosphere. The food does not come in a rush, but you do not have to wait long either. Both entrees and desserts are really tasty and fresh, they also have gelato and smoothies. It is the perfect place for a light meal and time to talk to family and friends.

Love this place. Welcome addition to downtown Skokie and the neighborhood. Inside is charming and the outside reminds me of that place in Michigan... Small sandwich and breakfast menu and lots of homemade goodies. You asked for a coffee shop in Downtown Skokie, you got it now come support it!

Great addition to Downtown Skokie. I have quite specific instructions for my coffee drink and the barista made it to perfection! The food is so different and delicious. The outdoor seating has such a nice, relaxing atmosphere and the inside is cozy and cute. I will be coming here often!

Really terrific new cafe. Beautiful interior plus outdoor seating. Lots of hot food in addition to coffee, tea, and sweets, at very reasonable prices. I had a filled scone & a cold brew iced coffee for $5. Both were delicious. The staff were super friendly too!

Very nice cafe. One of my favorite places to study in Skokie. The employees are always nice and welcoming. Their food especially their sandwiches and gelato are very good! Their chairs and tables could be upgraded but other than that, no complaints here!

The service here is not great. The food is fine. Its a great place to hang out with friends or go to before / after a show at Skokie Theater. And, theyre very nice. They just move at their own pace.
