Glencoe embraces locally owned business and this is one of the stars on Vernon. A very peaceful environment that slings Intelligentsia coffee. You have to actually try to not listen to the Intelli people in order to make their coffee bad, so you can always count on a delicious cup when youre here. My one gripe: the overly serene classical playlist. Aint nothing wrong with peaceful music but it would be great if they A) expanded the playlist so there would be less repeats OR B) read the room a little on the rowdy days and threw on some alternative choices!

The owner is a jerk and just about everything is immensely overpriced. Decent drinks, not worth the cost or emotional turmoil youll encounter dealing with Yolonda. That being said, the staff (excluding the owner) is great and theres a great coffee video on loop to watch while you wait for your drink that you just paid $9 for.

I loved how clean everything was like sometimes you go to starbucks and the table is sticky and dirty here the table and bathroom was really nice and the coffee and cookies were delicious sometimes if you drink really good coffee in a dirty place it makes the coffee bad so cleanliness makes a difference

Places like this remind you how different things can be when the place is run by an owner who is there every day. She cares about her customers and the quality of the coffee and food she serves. Why drink the over-roasted acid water at Starbucks when a place like this is literally around the corner?

Nice place. Nice coffee espresso. Local. Comfortable chairs and quiet environment to work. Only negative was the sign on the register saying they prefer cash for transactions below $10. So if that does not rub you the wrong way for not caring about your preferences.... you will love it.

Clean, quaint, cozy coffeehouse with a nice selection ranging between $2-5 on average. Enjoyed a regular ole medium roast coffee. My co- worker ordered a vanilla latte, which is to die for...even though he is still alive. Really enjoyed it. I will return. Yolanda was so sweet.

Skip the Starbucks and go here. They serve Intelligentsia coffee, have lovely desserts and chocolate, and serve a selection of savory sandwiches. The atmosphere is cozy and the service is friendly -- why go to a chain when the independent option next door is so much better?

A fantastic independent coffee shop. Coffees and teas are great, baked goods are wonderful, and the staff is the best. Right next to a busy Starbucks and it seems to do better business. That should tell you something. Gotta try this place.
