I had dinner at the Skokie location 4811 W. Dempster on March 8th at 9:30 pm. I was highly disappointed with the appearance of the male staff. The ice cream side had one male maintaining a sloppy appearance with his underwear showing. I go to the buger side and theres another male employee with his underwear showing. After finishing my dinner I approached a female employee and asked for the manager. To my surprise and disappointment....the manager was the underwear showing male from the buger side. I asked him was there any mention of neat appearance on the job application, he said no. I then told him there was no need for me to continue and walked out. He was promoted to manager looking like that.....WOW!!! People dont spend your money anywhere they allow the staff to be disrespectful with their appearance. Im forced to leave a minimum of one star in order to leave a review. Not deserving of the one star.

I just spent $8 on an average burger $3 on soggy fries and $2 on a bottom less glass of milk. Its 5:30pm Monday the week of Thanksgiving. There were only 2 customers ahead of me and it took about 15 minutes to get my food. The bottomless milk is at the other counter I was told after I found both the milk dispensers by the burgers empty. The staff was as helpful as they could be but there doesnt seem to be any training or customer service. Oberweis, if youre going to venture into a burger place, Im sure you have the resources for a better business plan, management and training... this is nothing on the staff, this is a problem needed to be addressed at the top. On a good note the milk was still the stuff I grew up on and delicious.

HORRIBLE! Do NOT go through the drive-thru. It took 20 minutes to get my ice cream, and when I did the order was WRONG! The woman who was taking my order was so inept, she really had no clue what she was doing. In fact, after I gave my order I drove around only to find the window unmanned for 20 minutes!!!! I almost drove off. I tried to call the number listed on their website and got a voice recording asking me to enter my access code -- brilliant customer service. Wont be headed back there anytime soon and neither should you!

Yes, the food was good. However, as I went into the building I couldnt help but notice that there seemed to be quite literally only ONE person doing all the work. Obviously they must have hired more then one person so Im assuming that none of the other employees are helping? It is probably extremely difficult to be doing everything by yourself. I hope Oberweis reads & fixes this :)

Food was expensive for what you were getting. It was all made fresh though. It was tasty but not something I would eat more than once. Staff seemed a bit cold and not really friendly. Nice touch tunes box for enjoying music. Rather a disappointed visit. It was nice to get an Oberweis shake here which was very tasty.

Really good place to bring the family for burgers and ice cream. Weve always enjoyed our meals here. The ice cream selection is great and tastes amazing. And the burgers are totally worth the visit. Theres a nice outdoor patio which comes in handy during nice weather. Parking is usually pretty good. Two thumbs up!

Ive passed by this place many times and finally went in. Absolutely delicious ice cream. The decor and atmosphere are basic and utilitarian, so youre not getting any type of "experience" when you go here. I guess its made for families who are on the go or dont care about the vibe.

The employees are always happy and smiling. One of my favorite places to go to for creamy ice cream! The Chocolate Peanut Butter is my go-to and its fantastic. Knocking off a star because we found hair in our ice cream one time although it hasnt stopped us from coming back.

Quick and accurate. It shares the building with a burger spot so youll get the occasional whiff of a grill. Ill come here and typically get their mint chip shake and just love it. They add their oberweis milk and homemade whip cream. Its just delicious.

Shares a space with That Burger Joint. Doesnt have that Oberweiss smell when you come in. Also, ordered a shake and they gave me a regular sized drinking straw: made it hard to draw up the shake without hurting my brain.
