Love this place because I grew up down the block and used to put pennies on the train tracks.... I know, not safe. Wouldve given 5 stars, but it seems as though everyone in this millennium is set on the idea that a chocolate milkshake is made with chocolate ice cream, when in actuality, the correct way to make one is with milk, vanilla ice cream, and chocolate sauce. Or at least thats how it was made when I was a kid, but I digress.

Serving Glenview ice cream since 1955, what else can I say? The place is a landmark! The style is just like Dairy Queen, the quality arguably better. Definitely worth the price. It is no surprise why this venture is so successful. Unfortunately, it has become a victim of its own success, particularly concerning lines. If the side window happens to be closed, prepare to make a run for it when they open it!

Down home yummy ice cream stand served by mostly young polite teenage would. Ice cream pretty much all soft serve with a nice variety of toppings. Picnic tables in parking lot with ambiance of occasional train running by, and after game or sports practice kid customers.

A staple of the downtown area, dairy bar has been making Summer days fun for over 60 years, and theres a good reason for that. They have lots of options at good prices, the only downside is that its so popular, you might have to wait a while for your order.

The tastes are really off. We got a root beer slushie and cones with sprinkles. Everything tasted like medicine. Really bad aftertaste. The kids threw it away because it tasted so awful. Soft serve also has a bad taste.

It seems like the whole neighborhood likes to take a walk to the Glenview Dairy Bar. Its open seasonally and when theyre open its usually a ten minute wait in line, but worth it. Bring cash, they dont take credit cards.

By far the best ice cream place that I have ever been to. Very friendly people and pay full attention to what you ask for. The only thing I wish they did better was to accept cards instead of just cash

Awesome. Little town ice cream place, delightful! The lines get very long late at night in the summer for a VERY GOOD REASON. You may have to park a ways a way then walk but its worth every step!
