Great Mexican food. I ordered some tacos with a side of yellow rice and they really hit the spot. While you wait for your food to cook, you can sit down with some complimentary chips to try out their 5 different tasty hot sauces. They range from atomic being the most mild (that is correct! but its just a name and really isnt that spicy) To "wake up call" which is pretty spicy. They all have good flavor and dont rely on just burning your tastebuds. Since it was my first visit I was offered samples of the specialty drinks as well. My favorite was the mango and strawberry lemonade mixed. I ended up buying it. Good job. I would definitely go back next time I have a taco craving. You have to try the chicken pastor and steak tacos. Delicious.

Just tried this place and it will be my go to Mexican food for now on. They have Pastor Chicken tacos and yes you read that right. They are delicious and very filling. The homemade tamales were really good also. I ordered a spicy Chicken and a spicy cheese. The only reason I didnt give this place 5 stars is because I wish the chicken tamale had a little more meat but the Mesa is very flavorful so it makes up for the lack of chicken. I cant wait to go back and try the tortas and burrito. They looked really good when the chef pulled them off the grill.

They have more than 4 salsas for you. I really liked Atomic Bomb. Food was fresh and tasteful. I ordered a torta and it was delicious. The bread was a bit hard due to the fact they toast it but it tasted really good that I did not mind it. The 5 star is for good quality food and amazing customer service and free salsa variety. We also tried the guacamole with chips and Tamarindo juice. Delicious!

Generally if a Mexican restaurant looks fancy the food is underwhelming. If it looks a bit sketchy the food will either poison you or be amazing. This place looks a bit iffy but the food is excellent. They have a half dozen hot sauces, wicket nachos, and great burritos. The staff are all great, the food is great, the prices are low. Whats not to love?

Staff was attentive and kind. The food was great. It was cooked while we waited, so nothing old and waiting to be are. I saw some food precooked but that should be expected. Several people came by to eat while we were there so thats a good sign that food is good. My Husband is picky and he mentioned we should come back when we visit the west side.

Like others have said, outstanding customer service. Woman taking orders made sure her customers were satisfied... During lunch rush hour... Was taking orders and passing salsa with chips and making sure everyone was satisfied. I understand, how others have said that it is a bit overpriced, but the price was worth the effort.

Def. a great mexican no frills restaurant...love the variety of hot salsas and very friendly service...because of the layout its more suitable for pickup but there are a few stools to sit..their aguas frescas are good too.. I mostly order the tamarindo, its perfectly sweetened without being diabetes sweet...

Recommend the steak torta or pastor chicken nachos. If its your first time there they will offer samples of all their fountain drinks and salsas. In the fall they have a seasonal squash salsa that is great. Limited parking in the back and just a few seats around the counter.

Delicious!! Good sized portions, tasty, and quick. Owner is very warm and friendly. Had the steak burrito and spicy chicken tamale with their homemade "wake up" salsa, which had enough burn to wake up this guy who LOVES me some spice. Definitely coming back again.

Went with high expectations. .. great customer service, but the food was nothing out of the ordinary, steak wasnt even char-broiled, hot chat a didnt taste like authentic horchata. Too overpriced for me. Taconazo on Diversey & Harlem is waaaay better if you ask me!

Had a steak taco and a chorizo taco. Both were fantastic. I also had a spicy chicken tomale. So good! Everything is a la carte, and with a fountain drink my whole bill was just over $12. Super fast service, too! Just a lunch counter, no group seating.

Large variety of sauces with different seasonal varieties. Always very friendly. Can get busy and is a very small place. Seems like the the layout could be improved but understand they are making the old location work as best they can.
