My husband and I live more on the north side of Chicago but everytime we make it down to Homer Glen we have to stop here. We went on a Saturday around 8:30pm and the line was still out the door, so it must be good. They offer different flavored waffle cones (chocolate hazelnut, birthday cake, red velvet, peppermint, almond coconut, etc). Various sizes as well from pony (for the babies) to waffle bowls. The varieties are endless. The ice cream was very creamy and I appreciated the generous scoops they gave that I felt I got my moneys worth. My husband got Black Cherry and I got a scoop of Honey Lavender and one of Cappuccino. I usually can only find lavender ice cream at Jenis Splendid Ice Cream in Wicker Park so when I saw this i knew i had to have it and boy i wasnt disappointed. There isnt a lot of space inside so once you get icecream you kind of make your way outside. I would recommend this place if you are ever in the area. Pics included.

Stopped into The Plush Horse today on my way home from Orland Park. This is about as original as it gets as far as ice cream is concerned. The flavors are plentiful and the ice cream is creamy and GOOD! I like that they have a display set up to show you the options you have for cups, cones and waffle bowls. I had Blue Moon in a cup, which I have had before and it was great. They have some picnic tables, Adirondack chairs and benches outside to sit and enjoy your selections. Parking is both across the street and also behind the main building. Fun place for fun flavors and various ice cream treats for kids of ALL ages!!

My first time at Plush Horse, and the line was out on the street. I was waiting in line like everyone else, then these white girls cut the line. My brother never says anything, and I was but it wasnt worth causing a scene. However the incident did put me in a foul mood. I waited about 15 minutes to get to the register, just to wait another 12 minutes to get my gelato. The M&M popcorn gelato tasted great. But theres no where to sit and enjoy the treat. I dont think Ill go back this year or ever. My gelato is good and the staff where nice, but its not worth my trip when I can enjoy gelato in my backyard.

Had my daughters birthday party there and it was above my expectations. The decorations were so cute and with the theme, and they did all of the set up and clean up. The hosts were very tentative and helped me with anything that I needed. One even took pictures for me since mine wasnt working. All we had to do was show up and have fun. And the ice cream is the best! So many flavors to choose from....even if you have allergies. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a memorable party!

This cute local ice cream parlor exudes charm and features dozens of interesting flavors. After waffling between the classic cookies and cream and the new salted caramel swirl, I went with both in a small cup and am glad I did! The scoops are huge and the price is right. I highly recommend checking out this local gem but beware of long lines at peak summer times.

Best ice cream ever! My dad always took me here growing up and latley Ive been coming here every weekend. Im 99% sure that the ice cream is homemaid. Thats what I was always told. They have any flavor you could want plus more! I definatly wouldnt give it a second thought if you want to try it out. Best ice cream, great price, and even a historical building.

I rode my bicycle from Lincoln Square down the lakefront path and jogged sw to the ice cream place. The wonderful staff let me keep my bike in the store while I purchased the ice cream and they also let me split a scoop (Superman/ Coffee) ( because I didnt want to consume too much for my trip home). It is the best ice cream in Chicagoland.

Absolutely delicious ice cream!! My go to flavors are chocolate mint and strawberry. Was not disappointed!! If youre visiting the area you MUST GO! I made the 25min drove and would do it everyday if it werent healthy. Lol. Staff was nice and place was clean. Definitely packed but worth the wait. Line goes quickly. Cant wait to go again!!

If you havent been there, you NEED TO! They have a large selection of ice cream and a few frozen yogurt varieties. Its not a chain so they are very unique to the southwest burbs! The interior has that old fashioned feel to it with its hardwood floors and walls and seating. The kids will love to see the large white plush horse inside!

Love the taste of fresh hand made from real good milk and ingredients...the prices are really good for that kind of taste...I paid for 2 ice creams with each with 2 scoops on a waffle $12 ....and of course the staff working there great .. I dropped my ice cream on the floor and they just gave the New one for free...

My daughter and I have a tradition to visit Plush Horse when school starts and when school is out. Weve been doing this since 5th grade. She just finished her Associates Degree at Moraine Valley. Love this tradition and love Plush Horse, from variety of flavors to service to ambiance. 5 stars all the way.

Worst place ever! Asked for a 3 scoop banana split, no banana. She couldnt figure it out, then I asked for a three scoop Sunday, still stupid. Then I asked for a two scoop Sunday, get it with wrong ice cream, and nuts, went back up waited 10 minutes, no help! First & last trip every! This place sucks

Love their ice cream but am disappointed that they make it with corn syrup and not sugar! It amazes me how all these places cut corners and put junk in their food to save a dime. What ever happened to using sugar? Everything is corn syrup or high fructose corn syrup which is very bad for you health.

Not only is the ice cream delicious and the atmosphere unique, but the staff is incredibly nice and helpful. I am super indecisive and it didnt seem to bother any of them. They helped me make a decision and I LOVED everything that I got! I would definitely go out of my way to come back here again.

I love it! They have amazing unique flavors. I always order a small half dark chocolate and half chocolate peanut butter(they fill their cups/cones TO THE MAX so small is pretty big)A small cup is $3.95. The place itself is really cute too! I definitely recommend this place.

The ice cream is delicious but being ignored by the teenage girls that are too busy gossiping behind the counter really puts a bad taste in my mouth. I wont be going back until the owner hires a more professional staff that understands the importance of customer service.

I ordered a cake from here and they didnt do the theme and then when we cut into the Cake they didnt give me the flavors I asked for. I paid 40 dollars for a cake I didnt order. It was for my boyfriends surprise 30the birthday and it was extremely disappointing.

I lived in Palos Park many years ago, and ice cream from the Plush Horse was always a special occasion. Mom and I went today after a ride through our old town. The price is fair, and the ice cream is wonderful! They are open 7 days a week, too! Enjoy!
