Walked in with a group of friends and we were immediately looked at by the bartender and the manager like we were in the wrong place. My friends wanted a meal, so we sat down at the bar and the waiter right off the bat you could tell was having a bad day. She was not welcoming at all, not to mention the manager sitting behind us, we could just feel him staring down our necks like we were about to pull out a gun or something. Maybe my friends didnt notice that, but I sure did. I could see him out of the corner of my eye just lurking like he had something to say, but he didnt. Its like dude whats your problem? We ordered the food, so we waited. 10 minutes goes by and were just sitting and talking, no problem, then all of a sudden the manager goes "Hey! I need to see your IDs, you cant sit here if youre not 21!" in a disrespectful tone, which we all thought was uncalled for and rude. Why hadnt you asked us for ID when we first sat at the bar, I mean we were there for 10 minutes, why the long wait? The dude actually jumped up and pretty much got in our face and actually caused a scene for absolutely no reason. We showed him our IDs that showed we were 21, got our food, and left. Maybe it was just that one night that they acted like unprofessionals, maybe it happens all the time, IDK. But from my experience, I personally felt looked down upon, and treated as if I shouldnt of been in there. Terrible.

Wings are above average. I ordered the Garlic Buffalo wings -- the wings were large in size and tasty. They look even larger because they leave the wing tip attached. They were crispy and not oversauced. Appetizers are of the typical frozen and deep fried variety and not impressive at all. Ive also had some sandwiches here and theyre mediocre at best. Tasteless and dry in most cases. Id only come here to eat wings. Prices are relatively high especially considering what you get. Price per wing is also pretty high, but they are more worth it than anything else on the menu. A little miffed that they have coupons posted everywhere local and on their website, however they would not accept the coupon pulled up on my smartphone from their own website. They required a physical printout of their webpage in order to accept the coupon. Although it was only about a dollar discount off my order, Im more angry that after speaking with several workers about it, they wouldnt budge. Id expect over a somewhat trivial amount, that they would just give the discount to please the customer. As a result of that experience, I dont think Ill be coming here again. There are plenty of other places in the area that have decent wings and care more about their customers.

I recently started going to gators the past month and up until recent it was an okay bar to go to after a late night shift at work seeing that there open till 4 am . Iv been a chef in the industry for over 6 years now and the food might be good here but I have never seen such poor quality service and bartenders and managers who dont care how they present themselves. From bartenders laying down on coolers behind the bar and dirty looks left and right but what I saw the other night was absolutely rediculous that I I still want to go back and had the manager on duty if that is the way he treats customers . A young lady had been paying cash all night and tipping as she paid for each individual item. Well as she was leaving the guy manager who is always there followed her outside and demanded more money from her so that the bartender would get more tips on a slow night . Im sorry but even if young lady supposedly didnt tip the 30 percent like he was asking for which is rediculous since the service is so terrible . 1.. you never corner a customer who I have seen in there many times, but to ask for more money is outrageous ... I truly wonder if the owner of the his establishment has any clue what is going on at his establishment ...

My family has been here numerous of times because we liked the food. We always have attentive services from the waitpersons. Last time we ordered the ranch dressing on the side and it was mixed in with the wings, but we just let it go. Sometimes we learn to forgive and also learned waitperson comes and goes. Perhaps it is the nature of the job. Overall service was satisfactory. This time dining here was quite different. We sat down and needed a few minutes to select our orders. The waitress stated that shell be back in a few minutes as we agreed. She did not return to our table for quite awhile. When she returned she attended the next table instead for their soft drink refills. This young waitress ignored us and kept walking away as if we were not there when we try to get her attention after she dropped off their drinks. Unless she has tunnel vision, there is no way she did not see us at about 90 degrees to her side. The place was not crowded that night. We continued to wait for her return. After some more minutes of waiting, we came to the conclusion that we were not going be served. This type of customer service is unacceptable. We did what most people in this type of situation would do, we left.

I have been to Wing Shack around 15 times since moving to palatine , the first time was the best about 2 years ago and I was always still trying to chase the same taste for the wings and never have after that , not very consistent! Sometimes they are good sometimes not, some times under cooked and some times over cooked. However after Friday night we do not think we will ever be back again, my husband and I had Wings and a few Coronas , the wings came to us wrong the first time than had to wait another 20 minutes to get new ones, after we got the right order we ordered a couple more Coronas , watched the rest of the Cubs game than received the check . 4 coronas was $24.00 ($6 ) per bottle thats insane! But over $50 for wings and a few beers at a Sports bar is crazy!!! After posting my experience on facebook with family and friends , turns out I wasnt the only with this experience , also heard it has bad turn over! Being an owner of two businesses maybe the owner should step in and watch whats going on with the customers more . I wish them future luck !

We have been eating at gators for some time. We enjoy the food but the customer service is aweful. Tonight we placed an order for take out. We had order bone-less garlic buffalo wings including some other food. We spent almost $50. Upon arriving home we realized they gave us regular bone in wings. We called and were told that they could do nothing till a manager arrived 1 & 1/2 hours later. They offered to text him but we did not recieve a call back for almost 2 hours. When the manager called back all he did was argue and was very rude. He said he could do nothing for us and if we wanted we could talk to a owner the next day. I have never had such poor customer service. I will not go back. I feel sorry for the staff there as the ownership/management team does not allow staff to help customers in thier absence. Please note that if going while not management is there and your order is incorrect you will receive no compensation or correction or apology. Rated -10. Never going back.
