I visited the restaurant on fathers day since it was highly rated and I was not impressed. In fact I wish I had eaten at home. The first issue was that once we sat down we still had over a 15 minute wait to get served from the time we placed our order. The downtown is nice, I would much rather have been outside waiting. The second issue is that the coffee was terrible. I do drink very good coffee so I wasnt expecting too be blown away but keep in mind there are signs everywhere for "We serve intelligentsia..." it was a big let down. How do you screw up good coffee? Skimp on the grounds. If it was too strong i could have added water. Is there an intelligentsia police? On the plus side the coffee got returned no charge and no attitude but still... breakfast without coffee is a bad start to the day. Other things to consider... Pancakes were very hard to cut, even for adults reaching across the table... nobody smiled except the cashier, and the place is cash only. My fault on that one since there was a big enough sign at the front counter but it was not pleasant driving to a local bank to get money. I will say that others didnt have issue with the coffee which baffles me and they seemed to be enjoying the food so maybe Im expecting too much for a standard diner.

This place is great! Its cash only, so come prepared. If there was such a thing as a breakfast dive bar this would be it. They still use an old school cash register, the decor is very dated and charming, complete with barber pole and an old bike hanging from the ceiling. The service was very friendly, it is the kind of place with a large repeat customer base to the point where they know your name and you know theirs. The food was great, some of the best breakfast food I have had. If I had one complaint its that there is not a ton of seating. Maybe 12 to 15 booths and 4 to 5 tables. All in all, one of my favorite breakfast places around. Check it out you wont be disappointed.

Great local place to get great tasting food at a great price. The building is very old with a lot of history behind it. On the weekends you might have to wait for seating but its worth it. The wait isnt to long. Again, place is old so there isnt that much space. But you can count on the food tasting great. Payment its by cash or check. No cards accepted.

Great late breakfast with the family. Enjoyed a skillet with a side of corned beef hash-fantastic. Hash was done uniquely and seemed pancake like, very good. Ingredients were fresh and delicious. Food served expeditiously and even had good service. We will return frequently.

I was expecting this place to be really good. The waitress we had was nice, and that is why I wont give 1 star. But the food was awful. My scrambled eggs were hard to pick up with my fork to eat because it was so runny. There are better breakfast places within the area.

The way local diners used to be... awesome. Great home cooked food. Order the pork tenderloin, hear them pounding it out as you wait. Daily specials that run out, loved by the locals. House made turkey sausage. CASH ONLY. no credit accepted (atm across street )

Had to try this place a few weeks ago since were new in town. I was like moaning over my plate it was almost embarassing. I got the sausage skillet and my husband got this awesome steak. The prices were really great. Going back right now to get some more!

Fun place for weekend breakfast and pretty decent dinners too. The staff is friendly and you can tell they like their work and want to get to know you. The good is always very fresh and made to order. Remember bring cash, it is well worth the trip.

Always enjoy this family run diner. Chef Nick makes it all from scratch. Cinnamon rolls made daily, they often sell out fast. Great value and housemade soups. It gives you that cozy small town vibe when you visit. Great wait staff! CASH ONLY

Oswego Family Resteraunt is one of our favorite spots. The waitress really get to know you and are great. Food is a good serving, and reasonable! Go early it can be quit crowded on Sunday mornings after church, also its a cash only place!

The staff are very friendly here. Yes its a bit small compared to larger chain restaurants but the atmosphere is very home-y feeling. Sundays they are packed!! The food is very good and as close to homestyle as you can get.

Very hometown kind of place. A place where people actually care about you as a person not a $. The biscuits are light and fluffy like clouds. Try the sunrise skillet with biscuits instead of toast.

Went there once. Good food but be warned they dont take credit cards. Embarrassing, had to leave my wife and daughter to go to the atm. That was about a year or so ago,maybe they do now?
