We live very close to this restaurant. It was a weekly family tradition to bring in food from this restaurant twice a month. It was consistently awesome. We felt lucky to be so close to a restaurant which we considered the best Chinese restaurant in Western suburbs. However, sadly starting this year, this all started to change. The dishes are bland, the crab rangoons are covered with oil sometimes (meaning being constantly refried) and worst of all, the family has had food poisoning a couple of times. This turned us off from the restaurant. Instead of insisting for their food, we now avoid it. For us it it was very sad, since we were such a big fan. I will not recommend this place any more.

Its pretty simplistic American Chinese food. Lots of carbs, not a lot of meat or veggies in a lot of the dishes. The orange chicken is at least half breading, for instance. The soup bases taste an awful lot just like soy sauce, I cant say I have ever enjoyed one of their soups. The fried rice is 80% rice. Ive eaten here on and off since a child, but theres better East Asian food out there nowadays, and this is a weak shadow of actual authentic Chinese food, which is fairly hard to find outside Chinatown anyway. The value for money isnt great either. I dont have any overly negative things to say, so I guess 3 stars is reasonable, but Id just give this place a pass generally.

The food is mostly great, sometimes good. Love the food there. The service is uneven, as the place has high turnaround of waiters. We come once every couple months and I do not remember seeing same waiter twice. The biggest recent turn-off is that they started to serve buns in plastic imitations of bamboo steamers. Feels cheap - and I am not looking towards another heated plastic in my food chain. If that cheapness spills into the dining room, I am afraid to think about the kitchen. So, yesterday was the last visit. We are unlikely to come back.

This place is the next best thing to going to Chinatown. It serves authentic Cantonese cuisine with the highest quality ingredients, such as jumbo size shrimps for its seafood noodles. Prices are competitive for suburban location. Some folks may think its expensive. But in general, if you factor in the driving and parking costs to Chinatown just to get the same food, this place is a bargain. This place is family run for all these years and that longevity speaks for itself. If its not good enough, theyd be closed by now. I highly recommend it.

Wow, just wow. Ordered an entree for one and a two piece egg roll, and in the first egg roll was a brown hair about 3 inches long. In the second egg roll was bits of paper and plastic, I assume from some container. Unbelievable, I will never ever ever go back. This place was the place that you would gladly paymore to eat at......what the heck happened! Seriously poor quality control for BOTH of the eggrolls to have issues. YUCK!

I ordered kung pao chicken, spring rolls, and hot and sour soup for delivery. Everything arrived cold and no white rice was included with my kung pao chicken. The spring rolls were good (once reheated in the microwave), but the hot and sour soup was too bland. I imagine that if I had been given white rice, that the kung pao chicken would have been good. For $20 and an hour wait I just expected a lot more.

One of the best Chinese place in Naperville. Love love the Kung Pao and my wife loves the pork fried rice. We used to live less than a mile from here and it was our go to place. The only complaint I have is the crab rangoons could be a little more crabbier and less creme cheese. But other than that, the food is amazing....and portions are HUGE! We only ever got the small sizes and still had left overs!

This is an all around great chinese restaurant. They have: 2, 4 star dishes (my favorite being shrimp and scallops with walnut sauce), excellent carry out service, lightning fast delivery (whenever i order it comes within 45 minutes rather the hour it takes for pizza), and dine in is very nice, with friendly and often speedy service. Best chinese food for its price within 25 miles.

Best Chinese food in this area, and being from Chicago Im pretty picky! I tried several places when I first moved out here and had almost given up when I discovered House of Emperor. Ive had several different dishes over the yrs. and they have all been excellent. They are more expensive than others but well worth every penny! Ive never eaten inside, always have done carry out.

Been going here for years, they keep improving. Always fresh ingredients, great flavors, real quality chinese food. They have gluten/wheat free soy sauce available. We drive about 30 min. to get here, and we wont go anywhere else for chinese food anymore. Nothing else is as good in the area. Weve always had great service dine in and carry out, fast, accurate, friendly.

We had take out from here after the Best of Naperville awards came out (congrats to the owner BTW). Food was good, we had the BBQ pork fried rice, some steamed buns, and a strawberry smoothie. the smoothie was the star of the night. Id come back, but Id eat it there to see if the food wins that 5th star. All in all a good experience.

Excellent food, service and environment!!! I purchased a groupon and never really know what to expect, but this restaurant exceeded my expectations. The menu had so much to choose from and everything was clean and well run. I will definitely go back and would have no problem paying full price because it is worth it. :)

It was my first time there yesterday. I have been only in a few asian restaurants in the past to be honest, so I am not an "expert" in chinese of food at all, but what we had there was really awesome. The food is great and the service excellent. Very nice atmosphere too. We will definitely visit that place again.

We often order for delivery at the office I work for. The food is great and the delivery man is always so nice and friendly. I have also done carry out but never dined in yet. The food never disappoints us and we have been ordering for the office for years and will continue to do so. Ordering from them today!

I ordered Calamari-to-go and was swept away by the most delicious and perfectly seasoned calamari appetizer that I have ever enjoyed in my entire 37 years on this planet. I tend to err on the side of not leaving comments, but after this dish I am compelled to publish my thoughts!

This place was fenomenal!! We had a taste of different dishes and the food was excelent on every plate! The service was excellent. Off the bat as soon as we were sat the hostess made sure we had the correct seats and kids menus we had with our party. Love attention to detail!

My family and I have been going to House of Emperor for more than ten years. Its family owned and fantastic. The food is amazing. I highly recommend the prawns in their shell, the potstickers, and the black peppered sole. Other favorites are the bbq pork and spicy green beans.
