The only reason for 2 stars is because the food is indeed good. However, the last time we were there for a Mothers day, my mom ended up with a quarter size (not even exaggerating) piece of plate in her mouth that was lodged within the food, that she almost broke her teeth on while attempting to eat, 2 minutes later I was desperately trying to extract the juice out if the cup using a straw, just to come to realize that the staff forgot to take the paper off of it from the bottom, which ended up getting lodged in the straw and looking like a snot (pardon my language), and today as soon as we sat down, there was either poop or chocolate on my glass of water. I lost my appetite, and you just lost my business...

I tend to think that breakfast places are pass/fail: either theyre good, or not. Red Apple proved me wrong by being better than I expect from a good breakfast restaurant. My bacon and cheese omelette was fluffy and very tasty. My wifes sampler was huge and delicious. We overheard a young girl say "this sausage is good!" then we got our food and boy, that sausage IS good! Bigger and tastier than the typical tiny breakfast sausage you get at restaurants, same goes for the bacon. The pancakes that came with both meals were bigger than usual too, and very tasty. We live in Hoffman Estates but well definitely be driving out to Palatine again for breakfast at Red Apple.

This is hidden gem of the suburb breakfast game. Older inside with decent seating, but attempts to stay relevant. The key to this place is speed. For a lunch break, this is a great place to get food vs some of the other newer places. Food taste good, but not worth 5 stars. If you plan to visit, if coming from the south turn at Dupoint Ave, the light before the restaurant there is a side entrance to the parking lot. Otherwise you have to drive couple lights down and do a U-turn.

Normally you wouldnt expect a small restaurant in a small town 25 miles out of Chicago to wow you. This really is a very very solid place for good, traditional breakfast. Nothing new age. Just good old breakfast food that your crave from time to time, esp. on weekend mornings. Id venture to say its our favorite breakfast place. Servers have all been here for a long time and they are pros at getting to you quickly even when its packed. And they are packed every Sunday morning.

Service here is amazing. The atmosphere is very rustic and spacious. Pretty accents around large televisions will be appreciated by sports lovers. Service personnel are friendly and fast. The food is made rapidly as possible and brought out quickly. The accessibility is very high. Wheelchair access is extremely welcomed and they do a lot to adapt for people with disabilities.

The Red Apple is a great family friendly restaurant serving the best quality of comfort foods. If you are looking for traditional breakfasts or lunches, then this should be your next stop. I bring the wife and kids almost every Sunday morning where we are greeted with the friendliest staff and always made to feel comfortable. The service is top notch.

The food was freshly made, well prepared, and exactly what I was hoping for. Classic breakfast fare, for a fair price. The staff was friendly and promt. The Eggs Benedict was delicious, egg poached perfectly, and a real slice of meat- not deli meat. Fresh sqeezed orange juice topped it off perfectly. Ill definitely be returning.

Ive had breakfast at restaurants all around Palatine, and this is the best. Friendly attentive staff, good food, great atmosphere, good portions, and all-around good experience. The daily specials on display as you enter give you a great choice between something new and "the usual." Give it a try, youll go back!

Red Apple Pancake House & Cafe is one of the best Restaurants in the state. It is one of the best in the country. The staff is very friendly and they treat you like family. The menu is full of great selections with the best ingredients. The best homemade muffins anywhere. I cant wait to go back again.

Great gourmet menu with lots of yummy options! I love the Mediterranean Skillet, Popeye Crepes, and the apricot raspberry French toast. Do it. The management is so on top of their game here. Runs like a well-oiled machine, even at their busiest weekend rush.

Have been coming here on Sunday mornings almost every weekend for five years, never a single bad experience. Excellent kitchen, wait staff is friendly and attentive, and the owners are some of the nicest people you could meet.

Red Apple is always really busy for breakfast and brunch. Food is great. I almost never stray from the breakfast skillets. The Irish Skillet is corned beef skillet thats better than anywhere else around here.

Large portions, appropriate for price paid. Quick service. Coffee refills were slow. Waitress was nice. Had to box food and take it home, too much for one sitting. Overall positive experience.

Wasnt too busy, food came out quickly, and they werent skimpy on the portions. The meat lovers skillet had tons of meat and they even nailed the over-medium eggs! Nice!
