One star is as low as I can make a review, or it would be lower. I met my wife for lunch here, as she had the day off, is near work. Seated fast enough. Food and beer order taken within ten minutes. Then we waited twenty minutes for the drinks. I suspect my food was already done at that point. (Explanation coming). During the wait we noted that the table was dirty, my wifes water glass was dirty, the seats were covered in crumbs. I also noted that no one seemed to be getting their orders. The drinks were presented with no coaster or napkins (other tables had them). The food took 40 (forty) minutes to come out. I ordered a Reuben and my wife ordered chicken strips. (So not like a soufle and Chateaubriand) Her food was fresh. My sandwich was crusty and dried on the top, soggy on the bottom, and the meat along the cut edge was dried and curling. The fries were stale and flaccid. This plate had obviously spent a great deal of time under a heat lamp. At no point we any apologies made, not were there even any visits to the table, by staff. When we asked for the check because we were now in a hurry due to the inordinate amount of time student waiting, it took twenty minutes. The check was left on the table without a word. This is where it goes from infuriating to hilarious. Because you either have to laugh, or you cry. It wasnt our check. In fact, this one had been paid already, and the cash was still in it. Although tempted, due to our horrible experience, we elected to leave it alone and ask for our check. I had to get back to work, about ten minutes away; and called my wife on arrival, as she had stayed behind, to ask for our check, pay, and complain to the manager. During this time two other tables lost patience and left without ordering. As of this sentence I still have not gotten her text, telling me she was leaving. (Exactly one half hour after I left). My wife mentioned that a woman at the next table told her that half the staff had walked out, just after our arrival. Im assuming management is at fault for that. Update, now forty minutes after leaving. Shes still waiting to talk to the manager. Second update. She lost patience and left. We paid our bill, though.

Good food, great drink selection, and the best specials in McHenry, but.... This place has great potential, and its a place Im really rooting for, but they still dont have the kinks worked out yet. I have been 3 times now and they always seem to be short staffed resulting in lots of waiting, and poor timing of drinks, apps, and dinner. You can expect experiences like getting your apps when dinner arrives, no drink refills during dinner, and very long waits for the bill. I would also pass on the all you can eat fish fry. Mediocre fish at best, small portions, and difficult to reorder, I actually left hungry. Everyone at the table was done and ready to leave before my first reorder arrived. Plus, no cocktail sauce, is it that hard to keep a jar of horseradish in the fridge! Final tip, avoid the bar side. The music is way too loud on a very poor sounding audio system. I know, "if its too loud your too old", but that only applies when your blasting music, not distortion on blown speakers.

Chris is a really good manager, hes really cool and his hospitality is really great. Hes a cool guy, I loved having him as my server. He was always polite and always made sure we were good. But the other manager, Mike, is not so good. All he does is walk around and doesnt interact with any of the guests. He always has a serious face and doesnt hello. Ive been there at least once or twice a week since they have opened and I have noticed how the staff acts with this guy as their manager. I feel uncomfortable when Im around him and I noticed that the staff seems a little uncomfortable and rushed at times. I would love to give this place five stars because I honestly do love going there but you gotta do something with that manager.

Thanks for a wasted evening. Waited for 30 minutes to be seated which was no big deal they were busy. Once we were seated is were they lost our business. We sat there for 20 minutes and never had a server even ask us for our drink order. Have no idea how the food was because we left. This is the worst service I have have ever received at any restaurant. Will not be going back there. Would have given 0 stars of I could. And to top it off on our way out we mentioned to the hostess that they could seat somebody else at our table because of that fact that nobody bothered to wait on us. Their response was to smile and ask us what table we were at and said thank you.

We called them and asked what their wait time is. They said there was none. We hopped in the car and when got there the lot was full, the waiting area was packed Wall to Wall and we were told it was at least 45 minutes for a table. We straight up asked the host: "it went from 0 to this in 20 minutes?" The hostess him-hawed around and was like "welllll....no but it has been getting busier." Poor business practice to mislead people to come in assuming theyll just wait once theyre there. We didnt. And we wont be back to this location. Ill drive to Rolling Meadows if I go at all.

Pretty good food and decent prices. The Saturday specials of $3.99 23oz tap beers, and the $6.99 build your own burgers, made for a rather inexpensive date night. The appetizers of Buffalo Spring Rolls were quite good, although I felt that some form of vegetation cabbage and/or celery, would have helped. The burgers were also good, nice pattys, the ingredients I picked were fine, the pretzel bun, I wasnt impressed with. The fries had potential of being good but were cold and soggy. We had two of their house beers, these were very enjoyable. Over all worth the trip and money.

Monday night dinner out with the in laws. Great Monday night deal $1 burgers with a healthy list of add ons available. Farmhouse burger was really good, a bit greasy but considering it was bacon ham and an egg(and sweet potatoe fries on it), its worth it. Wife had BBQ chicken salad, she gave it 4 stars. In laws had fresh homemade donuts and loved every bite. Waitress was fairly attentive to us but it qas quite slow at the time. We will return to try wood fired pizza

We came in on Saturday, first time since theyve opened where the wait wasnt north of an hour. Christopher, our server who was on his last day before being moved into management was excellent. Above all else, he had outstanding service and we will be returning no doubt. The food is A+ beer is A+. Bull dogs didnt get to multiple locations not knowing what they are doing folks. These people have an excellent combo of food, music,service and good beer! 10/10

I was charged double my billed amount for a meal on 5/26. I have spoken to the GM, Michael, several times over the last week and was assured that the overcharge would be refunded by Monday (yesterday). No refund as of today. Hoping it wont require too many more calls to get my money back. I was on the fence about coming back, but after the ordeal of trying to get my money back, its not worth a second chance.
