Visited this place with several family members the other weekend. Although the environment and decor was really nice, the service and food, not so great. We were placed at a table with an open view of the kitchen. Our waiter seemed not to care much as he took a long time to order our drinks, bring them to use, and had to wait a long time to order food. He was unprofessional as he had hickeys all over his neck and was chewing green spearmint gum while talking to us. I could only assume he was more interested in the very attractive women employees working there. I ordered a plain medium-well hamburger and seasoned crispy french fries. What I got was very disappointing. First, I noticed that they cover all plates and food with a lot basil and the presentation just didnt look clean this way. Secondly, my hamburger was twice the size of the buns it was in between. Not only that, but the burger became more raw as I ate towards the center. Impossible to finish and didnt feel good in my stomach. My apparent seasoned crispy french fries were soggy, cold, and had very little seasoning. Since we were sat next to the kitchen, I could see what was going on and noticed that they put all their french fries into a big metal bowl. This bowl is left on a shelf with no heating element. Any good restaurant knows fries should be cooked to order and not left in a bowl on a shelf to get soggy and cold. Also, I noticed that the majority of waiters/waitresses used their bare hands to transfer the fries from the metal bowl to peoples plates. This was the same for the basil that they put on everything. I only saw one person the entire time use tongs. Also, I really think they should clean their kitchen as it was noticeably dusty and dirty. This was the first time in all of my life I was unable to eat a hamburger and fries. Also, I had gone to the bathroom as I felt sick. A minute after entering the bathroom, I noticed that a cook came out of the stall and left the bathroom without washing his hands. I am just disgusted with this place and the employees. I told the waiter about my experience and all he could say is, "Sorry about that.", and walked away. The general manager did not care as well. There website has no contact, so I am posting a negative review here and hope the owner will see this so changes can be made. As for everyone else, think twice before going here.

Went into the bar area last night on Saturday Feb 13, 10:15 for appetizers and a couple drinks.Looked online before driving all the way there in the bitter cold. We could only get one drink and the bartenders were the worst I have ever seen in my life. Never called last call cut us off because they wanted to close early, made us feel like they were closing the whole time and like they wanted us to leave. 5 people came in after us and a total of about 9 in the bar, why are you closing? You just cost your bar at least a couple hundred bucks. and btw I like to tip high, I used to bartend. So you lost out on at least $20 just from me. And to top it off , watched her open a bottle of KJ when I ordered my first but when I had to call her over to get another because she just took my glass and cut me off without a word , She brought me house wine and said there was no more KJ. complete lie. We left and I did not accept that wine. We had just started to frequent this place end of last summer. We will not be back. This place needs some supervision of their employees, Im pretty sure I witnessed the employees stealing out the back when we left as well they had a garbage can full of something heavy they took out of their to a car. Again Worst bartenders I have ever seen. Treated us like we were not welcome to be there and do not even offer a second drink before quietly closing and not telling the customers, I just have never seen anything like it.

Worst food that I have had in a LONG time. We ordered the bruschetta. which ended up being a pizza instead, since the entire thing was cooked, then cut into slices. I ordered the stuffed whitefish. They used imitation crab-meat in it. The menu said it was finished with shallots, when clearly it was green onions that scattered all over my plate. My wife ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, and the seasoning was so overpowering in the meatballs, they were uneatable. When we brought these issues up to the manager she had the following to say: 1: This is the way we make OUR bruschetta. I asked her why they didnt just call it a pizza, since that is what it really is. bruschetta should not be cooked. That is one of the highlights of bruschetta. The fresh and lively tasted of the fresh mozzarella cheese and the fresh tomatoes is what makes bruschetta so good. 2. Those ARE shallots on your plate. I said no, shallots are little reddish/purple onions, not circular green onions. 3. She also told me that there was no fake crab-meat in the filling, when I pulled a piece out of the filling to show her (known by the red dye used on fake crab) she just denied it. No wonder why there was only 3 cars in the parking lot at 1pm. I would NEVER go back!

I have been looking for a good Wood Fired Pizza place for some time now and thought Stone Eagle would be a good choice. Seeing that I was on a time limit I ordered a 12" Wood Fired (Pepperoni, Green Pepper & Olive) pizza for pick up. I looked inside the box just to check it out when I got to my car before headed out. The pizza did not look done...at ALL! The cheese was white (no bubbling or browning from the fire). The pepperoni looked raw and the green olives look as if they were just put on. Being a pizza lover, we have a pizza oven at home so decided to bake this very unappealing pizza for a bit before consuming it. (About 45 mins. later) The Pizza was cooked to our liking. but once we tried it...YUCK! Sauce had a weird taste (almost sweet) and the crust was nothing to brag about. I have had better frozen pizza then this. If your going to highly advertise "Wood Fired Pizza" you would think that it would be at least edible. Sorry only one star for Stone Eagle. Side note...the plate of the Filet wrapped in bacon with potato and asparagus at the reception desk was very unappealing and looked like it was sitting there all day.

I was happy to endorse this place, when it first opened. The owner is from Rockford, Illinois and has the same restaurant out there. The food was great. The atmosphere is great. The prices and kids menus are awesome. The kids pizza is huge and the onion strings are to die for. BUT the staff is killing this place. Actually, I would not be shocked to see it close in the next year, unless the owner turns this place around. I ordered two kids meal tonight and the chicken fingers were burnt. Before this, there was no one working the drive thru, so I went inside and there was no one working the front desk. So I went to the bar and finally, someone helped me. As a lady helped me, I saw a table of four get up and leave. No one would serve these poor men. Our previous experiences have been the same with staff parking their cars in the drive thru, getting the wrong order or the food being burnt. It is sad, because this place could be awesome, but the staff is killing this place!
