Love the pizza; one of the best around. Unfortunately, theyve made mistakes with my order several times lately. Im sitting in the parking lot outside right now writing this because one of the high school girls working there just argued with me that I ordered the wrong pizza. First of all, I order the same pizza every time and I know what I ordered, even if you claim to have read it back to me on the phone accurately. Second, if a customer tells you theres a mistake, you dont start by arguing with them. Thats bad customer service. Ive worked many jobs and thats pretty standard. A few months ago, I ordered a pizza, they got it wrong, but because it was too close to closing time, the man at the register just shrugged and said "sorry." No attempt to make it right. There was no attempt to make the mistake right tonight either and Ive left a place Ive been very loyal to over the years feeling like my business isnt needed or appreciated. If thats the case, so be it. This is Chicagoland. Theres plenty of pizza joints.

Similar experience as others. Wanted to place an order at 9:30PM for a pie. I was starving and havent eaten dinner yet today. Called the pizzeria, no answer, went into a voicemail saying they open at 11am........ Maybe they were busy, clicked the link to order online, started the process, and halfway through customizing my pizza the page refreshed and showed "We are closed at this time. Please place your order during our normal business hours." Tried calling back, no answer. Why do I get the feeling someone saw the phone ring, didnt want to take another order, realized about online ordering and rushed to turn it off for the night? Im just guessing but it would be a large coincidence otherwise...... This isnt the Il Fornos I remember from back in the day........

The manager was nice, but thats about the only thing this place has going for it. The pizza, is frankly, pretty poor. It tastes like frozen pizza- nothing special, and the cheese is kind of gross as well, I think they put cheddar on their pizzas... On top of that, it was burnt. The wings were about what youd expect from buying them frozen at the grocery store and microwaving them. Its very mediocre food, and Im surprised its survived in an area filled with great pizza choices. Whats worse is the prices... I mean, if it was cheaper, Id probably be alright with it- just look at it as some cheap party food for teenagers, but the prices are comparable to Lou Malnatis, and well, if youre going to choose between the two- why try this crap?

Wow what a real treat!! Went to Ilforno in HIghland park and ordered a thin crust pizza with sausage and peperoni it was awesome. The service was the best and the pizza was trully delicious I could not stop eating it. The ingredients tasted like they should resh not frozen and the sauce was unforgetable. I am so glad I tried this pizza place in Highland Park I will definelty be back!

I have been enjoying this thin crust pizza for many years. The quality is very consistent and they continue to do a brisk business. Note that the Google Maps icon is incorrect: it shows 498 Old Elm in Lake Forest, whereas it should be in Highland Park. The icon should be just east of Koya Sushi in the group of businesses at Old Elm and Western.

Stopped into Ilfornos for lunch with the family and it was great. Gotta love the HUGE NY style slices of pie! The owner was very welcoming as he noticed how large my party was and threw in two slices on the house! Bravo. Be back soon.

This place is a little pricey but its also the best! The staff is really nice and they know everybody, or they really act like they do :-) definitely recommend the sausage thin crust!

Douchebags. Saw us pull up at 8:50 and locked the door and turned out the light an hour and ten minutes early. Obviously theyre not interested in customers.

Pizza was good. The meat lovers had plenty of protein - I recommend it. Disappointed with the garlic cheese bread.
