I was a fan of paisans until I booked the banquet hall for my sons baptism. 1st Sandra was really nice. I had an appt with her twice and the first time she was not there so I ended up speaking with Javier. The 2nd time I emailed to confirm the appt and again she was not going to be there. Makes me wonder if I didnt email her would she have told me? Well long story short... Javier told me the bracelets for 3 hours of open bar would be $37 each. At my party, they had the sign up and within 30 min they changed the sign without telling neither my husband or I and the price was now $48. I questioned Sandra and she said its for the tax and gratuity. Her nor Javier not once mentioned it would once! I was being billed for the tax and gratuity at the end of the night. She had a really snobby attitude when she told me this. So I brought up their cheap center pieces. My guests informed me their centerpiece would not light up so I went and checked the rest. After 5 tables I gave up. I told Sandra and she said they did a battery check on them. OBVIOUSLY THAT WAS A LIE! If there was a battery check then they would have all been working! So she told me she would take care of it but of course she didnt. I spoke with Frank at the end of the night and he said they would get back to me. A week later I have not heard a word so I will be calling. If youre paying that much money to hold a party there then you should expect the best service! Not to mention we had buffet style and they kept my guest waiting because they would run out of food. Not prepared at all! Never again in my life will I book their hall for a party

The reviews of this place are surprising on Yelp. Granted I have only been here once during the night and that was just to pick up a call-in order. From what I saw though. The place was so packed it was INSANE! No way would I have ate there while that frenzy was going on. The pizza here is the best pizza Ive had. They make a nice sweet tomato sauce which I absolutely adore and its just enough bread, which makes it leagues above Freddys! Only thing is they dont deliver any kind of drink except for the occasional 2-liter with a pizza (a good number of items on their menu are oddly marked not deliverable as well.) I also wish theyd expand their menu a bit more as it seems a bit boring, especially considering what little they have, they dont even make as good as you expect. Alright last gripe. The girl who takes my order always forgets I get a discount whenever I go here so if I dont remind here constantly she doesnt apply it. Hopefully she remembers next time I order since the place is a bit pricey so its nice to be able to offset some of that. Other than that everything is typically perfectly cooked with the cheese melted to perfection. You also get free refills on soda. We usually order Arnold Palmers when we go and I feel I have to say this...SWEETEN YOUR TEA AND LEMONADE MORE. Jeezuz how disappointing is an unsweetened Arnold Palmer, I always end up looking like Charlie Brown at the table. Overall, dont go at night. Stick with the pizza and burgers which are fantastic.

Im a big fan of Paisans pizza, but their customer service leaves a bad taste in your mouth. After religiously ordering from the Cicero location I stopped because of a CS issue. Recently, we ordered from this location in Berwyn. I got on the website, downloaded the menu and called in an order for pickup. I ordered the large 1 topping pizza & wings special along with the up-sell of the extra wings for $6.00. Its the special printed on their online and paper menu. After picking up the food we discovered we paid $10.00 than what the special is on the menu. When we called to inquire why we were charged more, the person on the phone said that it was because we didnt "present the coupon" when we ordered. First, nothing about the offer says that its a coupon, nor does it mention having to present the "coupon." Its just listed as a "special." Secondly, when youre ordering over the phone, how exactly are you suppose to present a coupon? Its physically impossible. You can mention the "special/coupon" like we did, but you cannot present it over the phone. This excuse was pure unadulterated BS, and its telling that they would be willing to let a customer walk away with a bad experience than to fix the pricing error caused by the cashier.

I can only comment on the pizza. Soggy bread, over powering sweet sauce, and it must be a Paisans tradition for the cook to toss in a hair to the pizza because you will always find at least one in yours. The pizza is very inconsistent, some times its great but most of the time its garbage. UPDATE Ive had two credit card issues with them so far .I pay through phone with my card which I now know isnt the smartest. The first issue was the cashier charged an extra $5 on my card which they told me was an accidental gratuity charge. The cashier name on my receipt ended up being the manager who told my someone might have charged a gratuity on me wrongly. The second issue occurred after using my card with them giving them my info through the phone.Hours later my bank canceled my card due to credit card fraud .Having only used my card in weeks with this business,I tried calling Paisans to speak to a manager but the person on the other line took charge and avoided my request to speak to a manager. The best I could get was info on my last purchase and nothing more.

So where to begin? Paisans has been great my entire life, the shop on 16th is second to nun. I have been a customer this restaurant for over 15 years. This one here that opened on ogden seems to have dissapointed me greatly. Got 2 different people waiting us. Got asked what me and my wife wanted to drink, but completely ignored the fact that my daughter was also there. Next, the food is great, dont get me wrong, just wish they didnt shy away from the original recipe of the store on 16th. Our dessert, lava cake, would have been good except that the bread was stale and the plate was COVERED of whipped cream. Oh, they also only broughg us 2 spoons, again not considering that we had 3 people at our table. Got asked if everything was fine maybe twice, only got asked once for a refill. They also did not play the audio for the bulls game i was here to watch. Their answer, "we only play bears games, and baseball, sometimes." Final prognosis, order delivery or pick up from 16th. Not gonna be coming to dine here again.

Ive been here about 3 times. On the 3rd time I ordered a steak, as always. When I took a bite of the steak it had an old taste to it. As if it was sitting out for a day and a half. I know my steaks, and love going to different steak houses. The waiter was very nice about and said he would ask for another. Then the manager told the waiter not to change the steak. He brought the same plate back and told me that I had to speak with the manager myself. So I did. He was very rude and told me they receive fresh steaks every day. I asked if I could order something else and he said no. Supposedly they were about to close the kitchen. I tried another bite and it was then I had a horrible stomach ache. I didnt touch the plate again. I asked if I could receive a gift card or some kind of discount. Again the manager said no. The only reason I gave another star is for the waiter who tried to help us. Not worth the price of old steak!
