Casual space with fast service. No alcohol available; the iced "Korean #1 Red Ginseng Tea" was delicious. The tofu dolsot-bibimbap and stir-fried octopus were above average. However, we were surprised that there was no banchan served with either entree. It made dinner seem overpriced, as Ive had better versions of both entrees in Chicago, for about the same price, and Im served banchan as well. In summary, this is a good place if you need a Korean fix and dont want to leave Evanston. But youll find better Korean at a better value if youre willing to drive 15 to 20 minutes south or west.

Very disappointed. Went with friends and it took 2 inquiries with different waiters and a talk with the manager to get my veggie ramen (ironically, I was the first to place an order). For a whole hour, I was getting nothing but cold water and halfhearted answers. In the end, I got the ramen as a takeout and received refund from the manager, who attributed the delay to mishandling in the kitchen. Starving for an hour was a bizarre experience, especially given the order was just a bowel of ramen, which tasted just like instant noodles. Table to Stix is a much better alternative nearby.

The place is pretty small and gets cramped easily. Since they dont have a lot of tables, expect a wait during rush hours such as lunchtime. However, the wait is definitely worth it. The food is satisfying and delicious, although I think portions could be larger for the price. There is better Korean food around if you are willing to travel/have a car. Service is incredibly slow; they definitely need more servers. If you have time for a leisurely meal and youre craving Korean food in Evanston, this is your restaurant.

Im so glad there is a Korean restaurant in Evanston. The food was great! I love Korean food and I think they do Korean restaurant staples really well. I tried the beef bibimbap and the donkkasu. Both were really good, though PIPING hot. I dont think my bibimbap got cool at all, which meant it took a long time to eat. Im definitely coming back to try out the rest of the menu. My only complaint was there was literally one guy manning the whole restaurant, which meant there was virtually no service.

Koco table has come a long way from its former days as "JK Sweets". It still has the ice cream and soda, though now that aspect is much less pronounced, and the Korean dishes that the kitchen serves up are large, warm, inviting, and tasty. My lunch was also promptly served, and the spicy dishes can be adjusted up in heat, which I appreciate as a super-hot pepper enthusiast. :-) 냠의 냠 !

Trendy Korean Restaurant. Ive been here twice during lunch time. The place was crowded both times. The food is good. I particularly like the Beef Dolsot Bibimbap. This is not your typical Korean restaurant, so do expect the many side dishes that normally comes with the meal. Good food. Good service. Clean.

Pleasantly surprised to find a really good place for Korean food in Evanston. Low key place with traditional plates. Definitely try the Koco wings and bibimbap. Will be back!
