This is a commentary on the professionalism and management, not the food because we were unable to enter the restaurant. We checked the website, and after looking at several Asheville restaurants, decided that this one would be great. Unfortunately, in spite of posted hours indicating that they open for lunch at 11:00 on Mondays, at 11:20 Monday, the place was locked up and dark. There was no sign of life. One of those Be Back At... Clock signs also indicated that they were scheduled to open at 11:00. Sure. Schedules can change, but an establishment that is well run will keep its website updated. At the very least, they could have put a sign on the door. Or maybe locals know they just open whenever they feel like it. Their menu was impressive. Ill never know if the food lives up to it. Its a shame the place is not better managed.

One of my favorite restaurants in downtown, and a definite hidden gem on the nights (or lunchtimes) when the lines are out the door at other favorites like Over Easy, Early Girl, Thai Orchid, etc. The food is excellent and plentiful (I particularly like the Jam Bong seafood noodle soup, which is a massive, delicious bowl of spicy, smoky broth packed with succulent noodles and mixed seafood), they use a lot of local meats and veggies, the servers are kind and generally attentive, and the side dishes/pickles are well made and always interesting. Theyre a little away from the main restaurant drag (a block or two away from most other downtown restaurants), but so well worth it!

Very disappointing! The sides did not have any flavor. I ordered take out and was only given 1 piece of broccoli! The cucumber side tasted like it had rooster sauce on top. I had Kimchee soup as my entree and it was lacking in a rich flavor as well. I will never return. There is a Korean restaurant in Columbia, SC that is hands down the best in the area. It is called Arirang on Decker Boulevard. For lunch and dinner there are always 17-20 sides with plenty of refills!! There is also a good korean restaurant in Greenville, SC called Kimchee.

Very nice place. Clean and well staffed. The grill tables could be better wired, but maybe they are working with what they have. We have been there twice several months in between and it was about the same. We chose the grill each time. The second time we had problems with the power to the grill. It seems they would be better off rewiring the outlets to the floor for each table. But the food is very good, the prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is nice, and the dishes are authentic. We will go there again.

Upscale authentic Korean food. Google Maps said it opens at 5pm, but it is also open for lunch but closed between 2pm and 5pm. Prices verge on expensive, with lunch boxes and lunch bowls ranging $12 to $15 while the regular meals range start around $15, but the portions are massive! You will NOT leave hungry! The staff there is very friendly, prompt, and knowledgeable about all the dishes prepared there. One of my go to spots when I visit Asheville.

We went to Korean House for a late lunch around 3 and we had a wonderful time. Nathan, our server, was fantastic! He was very friendly, professional, and personable. We ordered the Chicken Bok Um and the Bulgogi Stone Bowl. Both were so delicious. I would definitely go here again. It is a little pricy, around $35 for the both of us before the tip. This was adventurous food and we had an excellent time. I highly recommend this place.

You must go here if you are within 50 miles. The bulgogi was hands down the best I have ever had. The sides were delicious as well. The service was great. They were out of ice, but it was still well worth the 5 stars and then some.

Squid a little overcooked, a bit salty/over-spiced (not hot, just more than the ingredients needed). Nice staff and manager. Would go back to try the grills or a stone bowl. Will update review.

Enjoyed the nightlife featuring Salsa upstairs and Hip Hop downstairs. Intergenerational and intercultural with all people welcome. Experience this place as the K Lounge after hours!

Enjoyed our meal. They were busy but we were seated within five-ten minutes. The grill tables require a minimum of two grill orders. We both left happy and full.

Not bad for an American fusion, bit far from authentic Korean food; but good food in its own right. Very friendly waitress, local beer selection.

Absolutely awesome. We had the stone bowls, and they were an awesome array of flavor and texture. Definitely ask for the other hot sauces.

Love this spot, really fun for date night. Grilling your own BBQ is a great way to put down the phone and actually connect with someone
