Okay, heres my skeptical review. The Chinese-Korean meal I had (jjajangmyeon) was the worst Ive had in my life. And Im Korean, so know exactly what its supposed to taste like. I also ordered the dduckbokgi and it was sweet and under-cooked. Anyone Korean knows that the best stuff has been cooking for hours... Anyhow, lets go back to the worst Jjajangmyeon ever. Usually youre supposed to fry the sauce in oil, but they gave it raw. So it was soo salty and uncooked. The noodles were also not fully cooked. Did they expect me to fry it? My guess is that their stove is not hot enough for this kind of food. The reason they didnt get 1 star was for two reasons. Their kimchi was actually good. And basically in Korea, if the kimchi is good, you give the restaurant a break. It made me think that their Korean food which I havent tried yet might still be palatable. Maybe it was my mistake for ordering Chinese-Korean instead of straight up Korean food. I also think it was awesome that they delivered the jjajangmyeon. In Korea, again, ordering jjajangmyeon is as common and widespread as ordering pizza. So I was very appreciative that I didnt have to go to a specialty restaurant to try the food Ive been craving. Although on the other hand, now that it was terrible, I almost have to go somewhere decent to wash it off. And the calories would then be double what is already a high calorie meal. Dosirak, I beg of you, please please be good. Get a new cook if you have to. Ive desired to see so many of these University town restaurants to be good, but I have no idea why they taste terrible and say that theres just low demand.... No, its cause your food is not good. Same goes for you Cafe Corea by U of C, or did they close already. Your kimchi gives me hope for a jjajangmyeon dominating Chicago culture. Thanks.

Worst korean restaurant Poor customer service When I entered the restaurant with my sister and mom the waitress look at us with a face of shock. At the beginning I thought may be she was overwhelmed but a couple of minutes later a group of asians came. First the waitress ask us to sit in a different table. Then, when the group of asian sit out on the table the waitress sit out with them. The employee NO EVEN ONCE came to our table to asked us how was the food. My family and me felt a little bit discriminated and we decided to feel the place. WORST FIRST EXPERIENCE OF KOREAN FOOD EVER!!!

Although they experienced the typical growing pains, the quality and consistency of the food has remained superior to many other restaurants. The concept is a practical one - good food fast. The service is sincere and attentive, even though it is "order at counter, take a seat...". Will go back many more times.

Wings good, crispy, spicy, savory, mouth watering just thinking about it. Ojinga is good. Jajungmyeon was salty/ tcha. Pork belly was tasty. Rice was a little wet, soggy, for my taste.

The tofu lunch box is delicious. The only complaint I would have is that it takes so long for the food
