Very disappointed in the service. When we first entered there were 3 hostesses that greeted us. We were seated at a booth with a very sticky table. Then we sat for 20 minutes before someone stopped by and asked if we had been helped yet. We said no so she said she would go find our waitress. About 5 minutes later she came over and was not very friendly at all. She took our drink order, which was water, and our food order as well. The drinks came out promptly. The food didnt take too terribly long to arrive, however, it was brought to us by someone other than our waitress. That server was also very unfriendly. Then we sat there for several more minutes before we got the attention of yet another server (not our waitress) and asked her for silverware and ketchup. She brought them out (again, where was OUR waitress??) The food was actually very good, finally something to be happy about! Our waitress came over once during our meal and asked if everything was ok, but didnt refill our drinks. We noticed that during our entire visit, there were 3-4 girls standing at the hostess station just visiting, like they were having their own private happy hour. We had to wait about 10 minutes for our assigned waitress to bring our bill and to go box once we were through eating. Needless to say, she did not receive the standard 20% tip we usually leave. We felt like we were inconveniencing her the entire meal and she never smiled once. On our way out, we walked right past the group of girls hanging out at the hostess station and not one of them said "thank you" or "thanks for coming, have a nice evening". We were totally ignored. We had originally planned on going to Portillos across the street, but changed out minds when we decided to try something new. We should have gone to Portillos. We will not be returning to this restaurant or recommend it to any friends and family.

IF YOU RESPECT WOMEN, DO NOT GO HERE! My girlfriend just recently quit working at this establishment due to her general managers chauvinistic mentality. While conversing with her boss, Paul, he rudely interrupts her regarding her make-up...pointing out that she is not wearing any. There is no rule saying female employees must wear make-up. Things escalated and she ended up quitting. Before doing so, her boss, Paul, made mention that all women need to wear make-up, as it should be a part of their daily routine. He told her if she wanted to make money, that she would need wear make-up. My girlfriend does not need make-up; shes gorgeous inside and out, with a great personality. Who died and made this guy God? No real man would ever say such things to a woman. Would you say that to your mother? Daughter? Wife? Sister? Probably not. And if you would, youre probably the type of garbage her previous boss is. I really hope he is not able to reproduce because no child should be brought up that way. Also, whats really messed up is the fact that this guy is a youth pastor at his church. Its scary to think hes in a position to mold young impressionable minds. What does he advise them to do? What does he tell them? I am curious what their parents would think about this whole situation! Maybe Paul should eat some make-up and it might make him a better person. Its disgusting that these are the people you let run this business. Ill be sure to let everyone I know, know just how your business decides to treat women.

I had been here once before and got a couple gift certificates so I just went back again. There wont be another visit. I ordered pretzels, wings, and a pizza. The pretzels were good, especially comparatively. The pizza was gross. It was really thin and it had oodles of flour stuck to the bottom of it, like when you bake cookies poorly. And then there were the wings, which were just terrible. I honestly didnt know it was possible to screw up wings. They were fatty and way overcooked, so the chicken tasted terrible. The skin wasnt crispy at all, and they were way undersauced. And they were served on a bed of soggy potato chips which were gross too. Honestly they were just gross. I ate a couple and thats it. I was very unimpressed. With the gift certificates, this food was practically free and still feels like it wasnt worth it. Also the service was very poor- both the order and the payment took a long time and the people were very abrupt and unkind. The last time I was there, the food was fine and the waitress was very nice- so that saved this up to a 2 star review. I dont write many reviews, but this was pathetic. I wont be back.

I will never eat here again - this restaurant is very insensitive to dietary restrictions. I have food allergies, so I carefully read the menu descriptions, informed my server of my allergies, requested that certain toppings be left off my lamb burger to make sure to stay clear of my allergies, and I thought all would be good. The lamb burger was a little mushy, which I thought odd, but it tasted ok - but then when I was almost done eating it I detected something cheesy inside my lamb burger. I asked the server who talked to the kitchen. The manager came out and informed me that there was yogurt, egg, and bread crumbs mixed in with the ground lamb. All of these are common allergens, and none of these ingredients appeared in the description on the menu. I had just eaten almost an entire burger containing something I was allergic to. The server had no idea there was anything but lamb in the ground lamb. The manager was very apologetic, but had the nerve to blame the server and tell me that they couldnt possibly "list everything" on the menu. Done - never again.

Went to Brick House with my husband for lunch. We were surprised to see the waitresses wearing jeans and tees. We asked about the uniform change, and they said the new manager is trying to make it more family friendly. They dont have a kids menu, and they still have phrases on the wall like "Tap that glass", so the uniform change doesnt really make it any more family friendly. Weve taken our kids there in the past, and had no problem with the way they dressed, only had a problem with finding something the kids will eat. Anyway, with the uniform change, its officially off my husbands "breastaraunt" list. I ordered the "Big Bowl" of potato soup. While it tasted good, they need to rename it "Literally Just A Cup" of potato soup. I ended up eating my husbands broccoli and then wondering what I have at home to eat. It is pretty pricey for the serving sizes. We dont drink much beer anymore, which is why we used to frequent Brick House, so I dont think we will be back.

I enjoy coming to this place roughly once a month. The beer selection is great and the food is awesome. ☼ Food ☼ Food is wonderful and professionally prepared. The cooks clearly care about the food they serve. ☼ Beer ☼ Beer selection is surprisingly expansive for how much this place has to offer. They also give you a list of specialty mixes and beers to give you an idea of what they make. Personally favorite is the dirty brunette. ☼ Service ☼ Service always greets you with a smile and is very warm. ☼ Location/Venue ☼ The location is a little weird, because its off of the main road going to an expressway ramp, but your GPS should be able to find it easily enough. It can be pain leaving the area to get back on Finley during rush hour. Opt to go back to the lights instead. ☼ Overall Score: 4.5/5 ☼ So why the drop in score? It seems as though they recently changed owners or decided out of the blue to mix up their menu. They removed my favorite country fried steak. :-(
