The food is good. Lets just put that first. The service is SO INCREDIBLY LOUSY! First off, we were having a business lunch. Time was short so we wanted to do something family style. We wanted to pre-order so the food was there when we got there and we could enjoy the time we did have and not eat fast and leave. I called on Monday to make the reservation. Spoke to supposedly the manager. He stated they didnt do family style but he suggested I review the menu and get everyones order and contact him back. He said he could do a per person price on what we wanted to order, which was not what I was looking for so I have no idea why he brought that up and it pretty much told me what kind of place I was dealing with because he obviously didnt listen. I went back to my boss and suggested we go some place more accommodating but they wanted Rosebud so we got everyones order. I called this morning prior to our arrival to give them the order and the final count for lunch. I got someone who didnt speak English, so I asked for the manager. They kept me on hold for 15 minutes, literally. I finally hung up and called back and then got the manager. Not the same manager I spoke with earlier in the week but someone else who had absolutely no interest in making the customer happy. I told him I had the orders for lunch and was told that I should call with the information. He said he couldnt take the orders and that we couldnt pre-order the food. I said, we were told that we could. He said he could do the appetizers only. I was really ticked. I ordered the appetizers and he says "two orders each of the appetizers, right" HA! No way! I had intended to order two of each until this clown gave me a hard time. Can you imagine? They were as unaccommodating as anyone could ever be, but Im supposed to buy extra. Not likely. When we get there, I introduced myself to the server so I could give HER the orders and get them started. She seemed nice enough, but even though I gave her all 8 orders she still missed one of them. She said I didnt order it but having printed off each email order of the guests, I find that kind of hard to believe. Worst yet, my boss shows up and had been sitting there about 10 minutes and asked why no one had drinks. She never took the drink order. I had to call her over and ask her to take the drink order. She kept asking for my drink order. I said I was fine but others hadnt been asked. What a fiasco! Honestly, so not worth it. Even though like I said the food was good. (except for the calamari which was AWFUL) It just was a nightmare service wise and apparently its top-down.

I was a regular since they opened and the last time I ordered, I found metal brillo pad pieces in my eggplant parmesan, I actually ate some it at first because I thought it was fresh basil, once I realized it was metal I called Rosebud and the manager was extremely rude, he claimed it must have been a piece of foil from the carry out package ( they used plastic), I then asked if they use steel pot scrubbers , he claimed they did, and I told him that is what was in my meal and I ate some of it. He was extremely rude and unprofessional, after going back and forth he said the next time I come in he will give me a free eggplant Parmesan. I explained to him that NO ONE continued to eat their meal once we found metal in mine, our entire meal was wasted. We never have not will we ever return to that establishment. That paid Armands Pizza to teach their cooks how to make pizza, and they still messed it up. Save yourself the time and hassle and stay away from Rosebud

Alex Dana of Rosebud always brings a fresh spin on Italian food. I was a fan of the Highland park location, so Deerfield seemed to be worth a try. I was glad I rolled the dice. Rosebud Italian Country House and Pizzeria was as good as it gets. We ordered the calamari and antipasto. Both were great starters. Than we ordered a few Pizzas. Nice crust, tasty sauce and fresh toppings. A well done Pizza Pie. Since we were rolling tall and everything was great so far we went for the desserts in the mason jars. Another great choice, the smores was a home run. Rosebud in Deerfield is another great Rosebud Restaurant.

We really enjoyed the mussels and the sausage and peppers appetizer. My caprese salad was perfect and the Chicken Vesuvio was very tasty. A wonderful restaurant filled with people enjoying great Italian food. We had to wait a few minutes but the food and service made up for it. We really enjoyed the Cannoli Cake too. A must try, so leave room for dessert. Rosebud is always a safe bet for kid friendly food and the price is always fair for the huge portions. We are excited about going back next week with friends and family.

The food quality/taste is just a step above the Olive Garden save your money look for more local unbranded owner ran establishments. I ordered the lamb chops and they were not very good. Ive made better ones at home. Also they do not give you soup or salad with entrées. We had a party of 12 and I would agree there were no good comments said from anybody about the meals they had chosen. Also tried my wifes chicken cacciatore and the chicken was dry. Sauce was mediocre at best.

The only good thing i can say....the waiter was pretty attentive although bread was left on the table without butter. Garbage salad had cheap tasting salami in it with little dressing, cocktail sauce with calamari is a no-no, and the canoli was disgusting. Everything had a bit of a canned taste to it, I wouldnt recommend it it to anyone...sorry to the staff, but we have a family of foodies and we all thought this place had bad tasting food.

Much different restaurant experience. Since the move from Highland Park, this restaurant has a much different atmosphere, and not for the better. There is less room, tables are much more crowded together, service is less polished, and everything is much louder overall. Yes, it is more casual and family-friendly, but any place that charges $20+ a plate seems more like a quiet night out to me. The food is still outstanding.

Rosebud has done it again. They made me fall in love with another Great Italian Restaurant, Rosebud Italian Country House and Pizzeria. What a long name, but hey I just like Rosebud Deerfield. The Veal Piccata is made in an Egg-Batter and served in a White Wine and Lemon Butter Sauce with a touch of Capers on it. The perfect comfort food or date night dinner. Good service and we highly recommend.

I travel all over the country and eat my way through. I brought my brother and his family here for his Birthday. They are big time Italian American food eaters. Rosebud is a must have when it comes to Italian food. They loved the veal, the pasta and the pizza. 10 stars still dont rate this place because they are the total package, good food, good service and for a good value.
