My new favourite restaurant!!!! I loved everything about this place and the service is even more amazing than the food (which is out of this world). I had the black pasts and added clams and mussels- it was amazing!!!! They give you awesome bread and the best garlic pesto and butter to go with it while you are waiting. I havent tried any of the wines, but from the look of the wine wall, they definately have quite a collection to choose from.They were pretty busy when we went but always had someone checking up on us until our waiter came. I noticed all the staff helping each other out. The hostess appeared to be a jack of all trades. She was seating, serving, busing tables, folding napkins, conversating, and bartending. She never stood still for more than a minute and even so that was just to scan the dining area to see what needed attention. Our server was phenomenal as well. If I could tip 1000% I totally would! The atmosphere was relaxed. I love the rustic French/Italian feel. It reminded me of my old Italian neighbour growing up- pleasant, homey, and all family.

My husband and I were there last night. I had the Sweet Potato Gnocchi and he had the Biete (spinach ravioli). Mine was very good, but his was so-so. The restaurant was only half full and our waiter remarked that they were "really busy". It took forever to order and even longer to get our check. I also felt a little discriminated against when I wanted to order wine- my husband and I are both 26 and we look even younger. I wasnt even offered a wine listing, just told what they had (listed 3, but Im sure with a full bar, they have more than that). Im fairly used to it, but was still annoyed. Anyway, despite that, I still want to go back and try more from the menu! My food was great, and the service was so-so.

Really good service. My wife and I have been in the high end service industry for 20+ years so we are confident with this statement. Seated quickly and attended to by several employees. The manager Mario stopped by the table and added a personal touch. The food was crafted with care and expertise and my wife was stunned at the quality and quantity of seafood in her dish. At the end of our meal, they presented us with a cart that contained various complimentary after dinner drinks. They really made us feel special for our first time here. Thanks to the staff. PS.. Dont ruin your dinner on the fantastic bread and special butter they serve. Never had anything like it.

Great northern Italian food, great fair priced wine list, small friendly room. Update - We took a party of 8 for a little pre Christmas celebration. The food and service were both great. My veal Carlos ( a bargain at $19) was one of the best veal dishes I have ever had, better even than the best I have had in Italy. My only fear is that when this place gets discovered, I will not be able to get in any more! Update, new location is even better!

This restaurant is the best in Arlington Heights! Carlos is the most gracious purveyor. The bartenders were extremely personable...as were all the personnel. The veal and filet mignon meatballs were indescribable! And the osso bucco fell off the bone. Great atmosphere. Great service. And the after dinner drink cart was icing on the cake.

This place was really good I would definitely go back our waiter was really knowledgeable of his wines recommended the best wine to go with our meal. even when I asked if they had spicy sauces he went to the back and got me a jalapeño. The best part of it was after dinner the surprise they brought us. I was like whaaaaaaaaat hell yeah.

Very good food and dining experience. Accommodating to kids even though there is no kids menu. However, the pictures in the mens bathroom were something I would expect in a bar, not in a fine dining restaurant. I did not appreciate having to ask my son to avert his eyes. 5 stars for the food, 1 star for the bathroom.

Our family goes here several times a year. Between the owner, staff and the ambiance there is a close knit feel you get. It is quite popular and busy so to make the most of it dont try it when youre in a time crunch. There is an outdoor area next to a fountain in the heart of town which is pleasant on a summer eve.

We had our first dining experience at Carlos & Carlos last night. The food, service, and outdoor seating are all phenomenal! It greatly exceeded our expectations and the food prices are a steal for the quality of the dishes. We will definitely be back soon.

Best Italian Ive had in a long time! The food was amazing. The staff was on point and it was busy. We had a reservation so we didnt have to wait but others there did so get there early or make a reservation. Nice atmosphere, bar area and overall vibe.
