This place is fantastic, I am writing this review as I am enjoying a cup of coffee from them. From the moment I walk in, it is nothing but a positive experience. I am greeted by friendly employees, the cafe is clean and well maintained. It is very open, there is no feeling of claustrophobia. Looking at the menu, there are tons of options, and even more drink customization that takes place off the menu. Another thing I notice are the prices, they are right in line with their biggest competitor (I would assume Starbucks). They give you a reward punch card... Make 10 purchases and get $3 to spend on anything drink or food item. Check out process is fast and efficient. Wait time for your drink is dependent on what you order. They always put a lot of effort and love into their beverages. After grabbing whatever it was that I ordered, finding a comfortable place to sit is easy. They have a wide variety of options, whether it be chairs around a table, a leather couch and chairs, or seats at a bar facing out the window. Today I chose to sit at the long table that has 6 seats around it, this way I am more open for other people to join and start conversation. On to what I think of the coffee itself. With no exaggeration, it is the best coffee I have ever had. Vey little bitterness, perfect temperature, and full of bold flavor. It actually tastes like the way it smells, and I love that about a great cup of joe. Today I chose the Mexico blend, now I am not great at picking up on exact tastes, but it sure has a lots of different notes in it to pick up on. I love that they roast their own coffee here, it is apparent that they do as soon as you look to your right after walking in the door. Overall, it has been a very positive experience coming here. I have already recommended it to everybody I know. Although it is out of my way to comes here (20 minutes from my house), it is well worth it. I highly suggest that you come out and give them a try, I can almost guarantee that this will be the only place you go to get coffee anymore, well, maybe aside from your kitchen.

I discovered this place yesterday while I was visiting the Honda dealership. I was curious to see what was so special about this place, so I went in, and was greeted cheerfully by the girl working there. I asked her what was so special about Conscious Cup, and she explained everything from where the beans come from to how theyre roasted. She recommended I drink the coffee black, which I never do because its disgusting to me, but I figured I would try it. When I took the first sip, I was literally shocked at how delicious it tasted. It didnt taste burnt like every other coffee I have ever tasted. I could actually detect different flavors and such with every sip. It was very smooth and not bitter at all. Ill be heading there later today to see what else there is to try. I know I will not be disappointed. Its going to be very difficult to drink anything other than coffee from here anymore!

This rating is only for the quality of the espresso. This rating is not to knock the place but to help improve it. The staff was very very nice and the place looks very clean and comfortable. I love to see independent coffee shops succeed. The tannic acid taste can ruin the "espresso experience" and the espresso I had tasted very very sour. Over extraction, course grind, low temperature of the water, light roast, poor quality can all contribute to this. Hopefully you can correct this. If you dont sell much of espresso, your staff is not going to be consistent. Edit :I forgot to say that their espresso was twice as expensive as Starbucks with lower quality. Their price for a pound was also 50% higher.

Im completely surprised such a coffee shop exists. Ive been visiting them for a couple years now and stumbled upon them through a Google search for Aeropress supplies. I was sold on my first visit. The family run business knows coffee. From the Mazzers to the bins of freshly roasted blends, I find myself picking up a drink and a pound of beans almost weekly. The prepared drinks are well done by some talented baristas. I really like supporting this coffee shop because they are one of a kind in these parts.

Horrible service. It was my first time and I never go back. I was second in line, waited 8 minutes and still was not helped. The employee was chatting with a customer ahead of me not even taking her order yet. Finally minutes later, the employee started taking her order still chatting. The customer ahead of me was an ex employee and they both did not care that the line was getting longer. I left without being helped. Staff was slow, not greeting anybody, seemed sleepy and lazy.

I am a coffee connoisseur. There is no place that roasts and brews as well as this in the suburbs. Even including Chicago were there are plenty of roasters, few can match the artistry attained by Conscious Cup. Roasted perfectly, not over roasted, so you can catch all the natural notes from the original bean itself. If you truly love a finely roasted bean, and brewed perfectly. This is the place, in all of northern Illinois, to enjoy it at.

They make great coffee and have a super friendly staff. They roast the coffee in house and provide a welcoming environment in which to spend time. Ive never had a bad cup of coffee there. While Im not one who typically orders coffees that are flavored, I find it refreshing that they dont just squirt some artificial sweeteners into a cup and call it "vanilla." They actually make the vanilla flavoring homemade using real ingredients.

After coming home from college, I missed the vibe of trendy coffee shops and the quality of coffee. My friend recommended this place because I was having a hard time finding anything with quality in the suburbs. This place is phenomenal! Great vibe, free wifi, and of course delicious espresso. I have yet to try their latte and mochas, but I am betting its as good as their espresso. Love this place and will be back here often.

They have the absolute best tasting coffee in Chicagoland! I had a problem with service time a few months ago, I called in and was give the owners (Mikes) cell number. We talked and he said theyd work on the time issue, from that day forward I havent had any problems. All of the employees are kind and courteous, Ill recommend them to everyone! Thanks Concious Cup!

I was looking for a place to just chill and do homework after school and this is the perfect atmosphere. Im picky about my coffee, so I usually just do it myself at home, but wanted to try something new. Oh my goodness this iced caramel vanilla latte the barista suggested to me is the greatest thing Ive ever tasted. Definitely a place Ill be visiting more often.

The best coffee shop in town! I love their coffee and pastries. Their syrups are made in house. I know most of the staff by name and they know me and my typical orders. Walking in makes you feel like you are at really small town coffee shop, but their service, coffee and food is world class. Their instagram account is just as informative as it is entertaining.
