The food and our waitress (Cassandra) were both great, but Manager Nick was a very immature, rude, _______, (feel free to fill in the blank with your favorite curse word), which dampened our overall experience. He argued with me about immediate seating but I explained that the last member of our party was arriving on the train and would be there momentarily. He said no, that the policy was that the entire party needed to be there and he didnt want to seat me because the place was filling up. Since this location is in the Ogilvie Transportation Building, it would be a matter of a few minutes until she arrived. I then explained that I had tickets to the opera and didnt want to miss out on a table waiting for my daughter to arrive and that we would order drinks right away. He said NO. I explained that I was with my elderly mother and didnt want to make her stand and wait, he said NO. So I said, "OK, fine. We only have three in our party." He said, "Oh really? So when your daughter comes, you dont want me to tell her youre here?" I was like, "What? Why are you giving me such a hard time about this?" Finally he said, "FINE!" and stormed off with menus, so we followed. Embarrassingly, he slammed the four menus on the table, making the patrons around us look up, and then stomped off in anger. WTH? Nice Mothers Day greeting we got.... Incidentally, I dont think its a very good impression to have people, much less a manager!, greet you with a baseball hat on backwards. Does not seem professional or clean for a breakfast place. Im not sure I understand the policy about not seating people if youre going to order drinks while you wait and the members are on the way.

The food is always good, but I had a bad experience with the hostess. First of there are mulitiple hostesses on the day I came, but it looked as the hostess with the bad attitude was training the other girls. She judged me how i was dressed and said u must be here for pick up i quickly replied no im dining in. She walked me to the table and pointed without saying a word. I said to myself "she must be having a bad day". So i live in the area i come back a week later to oick up a carry out order over $50 and yep u got it. Same girl with a nasty attitude. She told me to wait a minute and proceeded to help 2 bicycle delivery people which was fine but she never addressed me after that. I had to ask questions about my order and i felt my business wasnt appreciated. I have a picture of her but this section dont let u upload...... Crap!!!!!

After waiting 30 minutes for a table we ordered right away. The food took a while to come out, which was fine because it was busy. I noticed there was mold on my bagel egg sandwich and sent it back. After waiting a ridiculously long time for my food to come out because my original meal was not edible due to the mold, I was floored when our bill was full price. After having mold growing in my food and waiting a ridiculously long time for them to make me a new meal I was shocked that my plate wasnt comped or at least a percent taken off the check. This was my first time at Yolk and I was really disappointed with the quality of the service and food.

Was very surprised at how the good the food was here, I dont remember what we had but it was the gnocchi and a special of the day. Both of the dishes made my taste buds dance and flavor blasted my mouth!! Also it was our pre anniversary dinner and they gave us champane..but that was it ): I cant remember if we got dessert or not.. Service was also really good! It was a skinny woman but she moved quick ! Although when she was explaining the menu items I did not quite understand what she was saying! Which was why I chose special of the day..but she attended to us with whatever we needed!

I havent eaten IN Yolk yet but I was first introduced to it by one of my co-workers ordering an omelette and having to share half of it with me with how HUGE the portion sizes are (if you are a hungry breakfast goer youll love their food!) More than filling it caught my interest and Ive been back for both an omelette (to pay my co-worker back) as well as their fruit filled oatmeal which is divine! (Ive had that about 3 times now.) A great spot for a quick bite to eat on the run or to sit down and enjoy.

Muy buenos Desayunos Personalmente todos los días iba a desayunar, mi plato eran huevos revueltos y papas. La atención es rápida y muy completa. Siempre te sirven café y te dan unos jugos buenísimos.

Presentation looked amazing, I had "Eggs Benedict" and my girlfriend had "El Torero Scrambler." Only issue was that the sauce for the "Eggs Benedict" was not good at all. For the price, I would have excepted a better sauce. They also drenched the eggs with the sauce, it was all over my fruit and potatoes. On a good note, "El Torrero" was delicious!!!

Bright, clean breakfast spot in the Ogilvie Transportation Center (Northwestern Station). Booth, table and counter seating available. Nice selection of standard and imaginative reworking of breakfast selections, both sweet and savory. The "flight" of 3 different French toasts was both fun and tasty. Prices a little on the high side.

The food is amazing! The wait is long so you have to plan ahead. I used the nowait app to get in line and it worked fine. I had my service animal which they didnt give me any trouble for (other restaurants go through a process of having to ask a supervisor, who then asks a manager, who then approves it as the law requires).

The waitress dumped an entire glass of ice water into my lap. No apology, no manager visit, nothing off bill. She then brought wrong bill to table. Bad day for her...worse for me and my wet jeans. Shes lucky my husband is generous and tipped her on the tab. She shouldnt have received anything!

Great spot close to Ogilvie and Union Station. Tasty omelets at Chicago prices. If travelling with luggage, there is a spot to store the bags behind the host/hostess, although it can get busy sometimes. Make sure your bags dont blend in! A better system may be needed here. Otherwise great service!

Pretty good breakfast/lunch place. I was here multiple times to meet friend for a quick bite to eat, and the quality of the food is consistent. Nothing fancy, but a good place to hangout. It was right in a commercial building across the street of the Chicago Union station.

Great breakfast and brunch restaurant in the Ogilvie train station. They several locations around the city, theyre all great. The service has always been pretty fast whenever Ive been to this location, so its a much better alternative to the fast food court.

One of my favorite places for breakfast in the city. Always friendly service and good food. Large portions and seasonal menu as well. Also, theyll give you a to-do cup for your coffee after you eat, which is perfect for heading out into the city.
