I have been going to Tonys for at least 5 years and its always been amazing...I went tonight and I honestly will never go again. The employees that we have known forever have been let go without explanation. they gave me plastic wear with my meal which was literally worthless and bent and twisted as I used it. So I requested actual silverware which I know they have. No big deal, but the woman behind the counter told me she couldnt give it to me because I might throw it away... I guaranteed her I would give it right back and she still refused so I was forced to attempt to eat a smothered burrito without any usable utensils. I am done with Tonys and wont go back, a year ago I would have given this 5 stars, now I give it 1. Dont go, it is now a terrible dining experience all around.

I dont know what that Chicagos Best tv show was talking about with their burrito supreme.. Its average at best. I came in after a night of drinking hoping for something good as advertised. What I got was something lukewarm and tasting old. Note to self, I think ANYONE can get on this show as long as 1 person gives it 5 stars. For me, Im not impressed and disappointed that a review show got this place wrong. Id rather stick to places like Garcias or Fiesta Mexicana for late night Mexican grub.

Tonys is one of our favorite places in the city! We used to live around the corner (which was dangerous as your order is ALWAYS ready in 5 minutes) and now that were 15-20 minutes away we still visit Tonys multiple times a month. Its no lie when I say EVERYTHING here is delicious and super affordable! The steak enchiladas suizas and the steak taco dinner are our go-tos along with the chips and salsa (sooooo freakin good) and a large Horchata! You wont regret going to Tonys!

I love the food I go here very often but it stopped when I found a screw yes, a screw with rust in my food. I asked them just to change my food into a new one since I havent touch it yet. they looked nervous when I showed them what I found. instead of changing it to new one they just removed the screw and return my food to me. im not writing this review to destroy them but instead to warn people out there to check their food first.

My absolute favorite local Mexican restaurant! The atmosphere is that of a neighborhood establishment. Service is incredibly quick and the food is delicious. Personally I love their pork tacos but my mother gets an incredible mix of Chicken/ Chorizo on her tacos. It is relatively cheap considering the area and makes a great place to end your night as its open until the late hours of the morning.

I had the enchiladas. by the time I had half of it finished I ordered a second to go. it was that delicious. I got it with red sauce and it was only 13.80 for 2 enchilada dinners... you cant find that anywhere these days. I wish they had flan, I can only imagine how good that would be. Ill be here every week

In a city full of great Mexican take out Tonys is just okay. The food is prepared quickly and there are plenty of options but outside of late night cravings and their breakfast burrito there isnt really a good reason to make the trip. It works but if you have the time you can do better.

Man , outstanding Burros (Burritos) there are seemingly Mexican Eateries in near countless numbers . Tonys holds there own at this Venue . I will definitely go back , with friends and foes ! Very convienent location , # 36 Bus stops 250 away . Whats not to like ?

A mexican restaurant called tonys mex sure might deter you from going but these guys make my favorite tacos that Ive had in Chicago. Im a big sour cream fan so Im not sure how they are without but I always stop by there when Im close by even if Im not that hungry.

Dont let the low prices fool you, this is the real deal Mexican......have been going here since they opened their doors. Always a great value and fabulous, authentic fresh food, Tonys is sure to be on the corner of Belmont and Damen for a long time to come.

Tonys is the rare Mexican casual restaurant that tastes authentic and is entirely appropriate for both late night snacks as well as lunches and dinners. The staff here is great and the food always hits the spot, at a very reasonable price.

Great low cost corner taqueria. Theyve got extensive options for vegetarians, as well as delicious tongue and pork tacos. Also pick up their horchata. Their later hours are great for the late nights coming back from the office.

If you have lived in Mexico, you will recognize this as the real thing. The tacos are the best Ive had, the prices are good, and they have a complete menu, and the juices (orchata, cantelope, jamaica) are delicious.
