Food: No food! Brew: Where to start? This place is amazing. They offer 2-hour tours with a souvenir pint glass (reservations and tickets needed and can be purchased through their website) and a beautiful taproom to enjoy their staple beers like Goose Island IPA and 312 wheat ale. But this is where things get even better. They also brew up exclusive taproom beers to try. I dont mind being a guinea pig since cant try any of these beer anywhere in the world or even down the block at the nearest bar. They welcome feedback on their creations so maybe one day they can be bottled and sold as a new seasonal. I tried a wet hop pale ale that involves picking the hops and shipping them overnight and throwing them right into the boil to create the sweetest aroma that will set off every taste bud on your tongue. It was Amazing! They also sell brewing ingredients so you can make your own beer at home. You can find some great hops and malt to purchase. The tour was fun. It was $12 and you have to purchase tickets online ahead of time because they sell out. You taste 3 beers on the tour and receive a souvenir pint glass at the end of the tour. You get some great insight on some of their recipes and history. Worth doing if you have the time.

At the end of the day, I didnt really care who owns them. Taproom was a really cool space and almost felt like a coffee shop. Our tour guide was awesome. You get to see the original brew house, then all of the new stuff, a room where they do their wild yeast beers (Matilda, etc), and then they take you across the street to their original barrel room (I now know why BCBS was hard to get, and why its less hard to get now they have a huge new barrel room). You get to sample beers along the way which is nice. You end up back in the taproom and you get a pint glass as a souvenir. They had a few taproom exclusive beers on tap which was awesome. They also had BCBCS on tap at the time, and that was fantastic. Overall a great place and I wish I was local to here so I could visit more often.

The brewery had a special event planned at the time I went. Which meant they closed two hours earlier than their website says. This is fine if youre a local or if you have an extra day to spend in the area. However, I was visiting from out of California. I rushed and paid for an uber to get there an hour before their posted closing time. Only to find a posted paper saying theyre closed. They should have a calender posted on their website to indicate any time change. Im a fan of the beer and regret to have to give a single star but they wasted my money and my time.

Definitely worth the visit for the bourbon county release but be prepared for it to be packed. Normally their selections have a few interesting brews out of the 10ish or so offerings each week. Love the decor and the ambience in the bar though. A tad small and like a buck more expensive per beer than some of the other microbreweries in the city. Bartenders are great, bathroom has got some funky sink/dryer thing going on but has nice views into the brewery!

Terrible service, only 4 people at the bar and they kept taking my glass but not asking me what I wanted next, only had 3 half pours in the afternoon. Bartenders talking with each other, on their phones and not paying attention. It was also wierd to watch them pour foamy beers and dumping about an entire extra beer just to get a pint full, seems like they need some training. Were visiting many breweries and I didnt expect Goose Island to be near the bottom.

Nice taproom, with a cool view of the inside of the brewery and rotating draft selection. However, one of the things I was most excited about when visiting Chicago was getting to have some Bourbon County Stout right at the source, and I was very disappointed that they only serve it once a month, on what they call black Friday. The staff was super nice though, their beers interesting, and my disappointment was mostly mitigated.

Id go four stars, but it seems like every time Im here I run into brewers and other Goose Island folks and good conversation and often great times ensue. A well done tap room that I think will get even better as age helps break it in. If youre in the area pop in, grab a beer, and chat up your neighbor. And if youre lucky enough to be served by the excellent bartender Krystal, tell her I say hello.

A una brewery se la califica por sus cervezas, y las de Goose Island son espectaculares. Tap room con barra y mesas que se llena tan solo diez minutos después de abrir. Horario muy limitado.

Really nice tasting room at the brewery. Lots of unique decor and of course there is excellent beer to be had as well. Be sure to try the Matilda as it is one of my favorites. Bartenders were talkative and happy to answer our beer questions. Friendly place! Be sure to get there early if going before a Hawks game as it fills up quickly.

The staff is the most friendly group of people I have ever met. We are in town from pennsylvania and we were treated like we have been from Chicago our whole life. The tour was awesome and very informative. Rob answered each and every question we had and just talked with us. Aaron was a very cool guide and had alot of fun. Awesome place.

This was our first time going on this brew tour. The tour guide was very intelligent and answered all of our many questions. He kept us entertained the whole tour and was very fun to be around. This tour was very cheap, and you even get a free glass Goose bottle at the end! Worth your time and money!

Cool space for the tap room, although as it is in an industrial area, not a lot going on around there. Nice selection of regular Goose Island beers and a handful that are produced on site that you cannot get anywhere else. No food, but they are cool with ordering in. Definitely will go back.

We had a blast with Dana. She was very knowledgeable of the brewery and the history of Goose Island. She made the tour a fabulous time with fun and interesting information. Would highly recommend booking a tour with Dana! Thanks so much for a memorable bachelor party! - Patchelor party gang

Loving the tap room! Its georgeous. I went on a brewery tour here and it was awesome! It was an actual brewery, not just a room with some storage tanks in it. The beer selection was great too; they had a lot of speciality brews that are only available there. I will totally be back!!

The taproom here is amazing and the staff is super friendly. The tour is the best Ive ever been on! You get to go through the entire brewery and barrel warehouse during production hours. They also have one of a kind beers you can only get there as well. Street parking is easy too.
