Mr. Lee and his family have been serving their own bi bim bop bowl for years to regulars who include families with very young ones, seniors, city workers, white collar folks, students, artists, musicians and every niche in between. This is one of the last, truly human places in the quickly morphing town of Evanston. Within the wood-paneled walls of this tiny diner, complete with classical music on the boom box, is a room where kind words are freely expressed between strangers, and regulars become a family unto themselves. Mr and Mrs Lee and their sons - plus the young man at the grill - are folks well loved by many. So if you tried something you didnt like - go easy - because theres a lot of love and integrity in that place. Maybe just have a Bi Bim Bop and slow down. (Relax, Mr. Dylan, youre on a cruise...) And when you stand to reach for your wallet, listen for Mr. Lee to say Time to go?" The cadence to your meal. These are all things Id give my right eye teeth to experience again....

I love this place! Anytime you go in you will only see people eating one thing- the Bee Beem Bop! Not sure if I spelled that right, but it is delicious and healthy! Its kind of a dive, but the family that owns it are the nicest people and will remember you after a few visits. If you have not been in- go and order the Bee Beem Bop!

I always love a good hole-in-the-wall. You rarely find a greasy spoon with an amazing bi bim bop. You will not find a better bi bim bop for $8.95. The ingredients are average but their sauce is extraordinary. The owners are also incredibly sweet and caring.

Small little diner with Korean and American fare Its owned by the same couple doing the cooking and serving (Mr. And Mrs. Lee). The Bi Bim Bop is a filling dish and the homemade sauce brings it all together. Stop in and try it.

Bee beem bop is fantastic, food is inexpensive, staff are friendly as can be. Setting is a cute, dingy diner with a lunch counter and wood paneling on the walls. Great, simple, delicious neighborhood establishment.

Bi Beem Bop is fabulous. Rest is pretty good food. But it takes FOR-E-VER to get a refill on coffee. And Mr. Lee, if you read this, please give more than one tiny paper napkin - the Bi Beem Bop is messy.

I stick to Korean items, mostly, and very much enjoy. The Duk Man Du Kuk is a peppery, dumpling soup thats perfect for chilly days. Bee Been Bop is also swell. Its a wonderful old diner.
