I wasnt impressed with my sandwich. I love corned beef and look for my sandwich to be delicious. I felt as though the service was pushy and I was rushed out. I ordered a regular corned beef sandwich. I wasnt asked if I wanted my bread plain or toasted. Now the beef was fresh and large portioned which was awesome, bread was fresh but the sandwich tasted plain. The chips were good too and everything was nicely packaged. All in all the sandwich was nothing to write home about for $10. I can get a toasted fat corned beef sandwich at Bills Custard for $6.00, with soup, and better service but I was in the area and stopped in.

This place is a hidden gem. I go there whenever I get within a few miles. The corned beef is lean, flavorful, and perfectly done. The chips are great and a pickle to finish. It is under the "L" tracks on Lake st. and they only take cash but have an ATM right on the outside of their building. I pick up an uncooked corned beef under their Crown brand to cook later. It is really a corned beef factory, they supply to restaurants in the Chicago area. I wish their hours were later or that they would open a restaurant in the northwest suburbs. LOVE THIS PLACE

Honestly I am not much of a corned beef person but when someone told me I had to try it, I felt obliged. I am so glad I did. My sandwich was just amazing - better than any other corned beef sandwich in the city. Between the juicy sandwich, fresh potato chips and very cool atmosphere, it was an experience that I thoroughly enjoyed. I will definitely be back for round two. And maybe 3, 4 and 5!

The Reuben is better than the Corned Beef sandwich. Tons of delicious meat with housemade potato chips. I was able to eat this sandwich for lunch 2 days in a row. For $12.00 you get a great sandwich, larger than most with housemade chips, a great deal! Your sandwich is given to you in a cardboard box tied up with twine. Solid CB on rye and pastrami sandwiches. At $11 its a pretty good deal compared to what you would pay in Manhattan, but comparable to Kaufmans. The sandwiches come in a cool cardboard box with freshly made potato chips. Bring cash or use Grub Hub.

Fresh made chips? Definitely. Awesome corned beef? Awesome. Taking credit card? Nope, and thats the only downside here. The food is awesome and can get quite busy during lunch but make sure you bring cash with you.

Good corned beef for sure, but the New York prices are a bit off-putting. The sandwiches arent overstuffed two-meal monstrosities like youd get at Katzs in NYC. If they were, the price would be just right.

This place is great. One of the best corned beef sandwiches in the city. The combo with pastrami is also really good. They make their own chips too. You can get delivery through grubhub. Awesome place.

Such a wonderful Corned Beef Sandwich. "Clean" is the word I keep coming back to to describe it. Not gristly, not too fat, just perfect. Reuben and Italian Beef are pretty exceptional as well.
