This could have been easily our worst experience in our lifetime. What a horrible person (bald guy, no offence but don’t remember his name). We were 5 people with 2 kids and he offered a place where only six can sit and I requested little bigger space and he did not like that and reluctantly gave other place to sit. 1. As soon as we sat in that place I thanked him for changing our place but he didn’t even bothered to acknowledge. 2. My friend had a baby of 3 years old and requested a cup of milk, he said he can try to get one but till last minute (we spend 2h) he didn’t give that…..who would do that to a kid?......... 3. How long you can take to serve the food more than an hour??.... 4. Once I requested him can you make it little faster because the kids are hungry after 45 mins wait, his reply was we are serving one by one your time will come (people who came after us, 3 different table got their food and left before us, imagine the cruelty of this guy....) just because I didn’t accept his initial table plan of his he is showing his power…. 5. when I was placing my food order, I asked for a plain steam rice, he said this combo I ordered have lot of rice and will be enough and no need to order rice separately....so he decide what i need to order... 6. After exactly 45 min he served chicken biryani and it was not even Luke warm.....how old it can be? 7. we ordered an item which had combo of many items (special Nepal combo i think) which had steam rice and he didn’t serve, i asked him about it and his reply was ohhhh, i though you had so many items so you don’t want rice..........really is it your job to decide? 8. Anyone in restaurant ask anything from this guy he just plainly touch their shoulder and bend over and talk to them, really who does that in a restaurant? 9. Finally i have to tell about the food, really this is authentic???????? In which way?... serving cold food and worst taste (chicken biryani) even. 10. I would not suggest anyone who is visiting Chicago to eat in this place, visit at your own risk. Finally I paid 10 dollars tip for one of the worst service we received...nightmare.....

Dine in: We returned to this restaurant multiple times, even if for only a drink. Service was great, prices are good.. service faster when the owner Bala is present. Meals are fine, with fresh cheeses and ingredients. Chicken curry was great The momos are fantastic, mango lassi for sweet tooths and the huge windows are great to get a view of the passing action. **improvements*** staff is way more attentive and organized when owner around. Delivery: Fast but we only live 2 blocks away. Only worry is how much longer this place will be open. Business must really be struggling since the owner Bala makes his own deliveries? We order at least twice a week or more from here and curry house but we noticed that every time the owner deliveries himself, no wonder our service lacks when we dine in. Hope business picks up for this place so the owner can hire his own driver and focus on running his business right.

I like this place. I have been to many indian and nepalese restautants but this one stands out the most. I ordered chicken momo and goat choila as an appetizer . i think it was great. Chicken momo was medium spice and had tasted great. The choila was a little sweet but hey i am not complaining because i am not a big fan of too spicy food. I ordered lamb korma as my entre along with a garlic naan. The korma was as i expected it to be. Medium spiced. Creamy and big chunks of lamb with enough sauce for your rice. Now let me tell you about the naan. They have the best naan here out of all the places i have been to. It was fluffy. Crispy and perfectly cooked. It was not suggy at all. Would have given a 5 star but i felt like it was a little to pricy. But the quality of service and food makea it totally worth it.

This is hands down the best Indian food place in all of chicago! I have tried indian all around the city, including lincoln park and logan, no place comes close. When i moved to Oak Park, i still made my way to Nepal House just for their buttered chicken. Im all the way in Hawaii right now thinking of how awesome their butter chicken is. Its the perfect mix between delicious and righteousness. Eat here. Make this your Indian place. You wont regret it. Its cozy, the employees are super nice, and did i mention how delicious the butter chicken is??? They have a buffet which serves butter chicken. ALL YOU CAN EAT BUTTER CHICKEN. I miss this place so much!! Thank you for the 3 wonderful years of butter chicken. May god bless Nepal house and the United States of America.

We went there on a Saturday at noon and the buffet options was great. The food was good and plentiful, as was the atmosphere. However, I would like to caution the customers going to this restaurant, as our credit card info has been fraudulently used a few days later by someone in the Crestwood area. The last time we physically used that credit card was at Nepal House. I cant prove that someone at the restaurant was involved in the fraud, but cant completely ignore the fact that we dont typically use that card. They did take the card by the register to charge our meal while we were still seated. Maybe other customers reading this have had the same experience afterwards, in which case, we can prove a trend...

One of the worst restaurant I have ever visited . Way too expensive and cheap service . They charge me $15 for little dal it was for my small baby 2 lb daal cost 2or 3 dollar I was suprise they charge that much for daal . It isnt expensive in market so it doesnt make sense to me . i have order chicken chaumin and somasha chat it was the worst . I didnt even eat and the waiter didnt even bather to ask if we have liked our food .we order 3 entree and they brought us 1 rice and never bather to ask if we needed more rice . Waiter look upset and was annoyed when we ask him Lemon. Cook need some training . Wil never visit this place again .

I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the welcoming staff at Nepal House. If you are looking for authentic Indian dishes, this is a fantastic place for palak paneer and many other dishes. I was hoping they had a bit more Nepali food on the menu, but the veg momo with their mildly spicy sauce hit the spot. I hope they come up with the famous daal bhat tarkari (my favorite: lentils, rice and veggies). The other thing is I didnt notice dudh ciya (milk tea), but overall, that was not a huge negative. Do try this restaurant and leave a message, and maybe as they grow, they will grow the Nepali side of their menu. Support Nepal!

I will keep to the directness of how we are known to be :) Food: Excellent! I highly recommend the Chicken Tikka Masala. Drinks: Great! Space: This is a very romantic modern mixed with some traditional Indian and Nepalese elements in a very intimate setting. This dining area has nice mood lighting along its wall molding creating the ideal place is great for date nights or get-togethers. Scene: Date night. Romantic. Upscale. Service: The staff is very professional, courteous and provides elegant service in Nepal house. Best Indian Nepali food at Chicago !!
