Ive seen people on other sites complain about Golden Corral. Folks, its a golden corral, you know what youre getting when you decide to eat there. They will occasionally be out of certain things if theyre busy. Also, its a new-ish resturant in Owensboro. Do none of you remember how crowded Popeyes was for like two months after it opened? Heaven forbid theres a line when you show up for dinner along with everyone else in a 10 mile radius who got the same idea as you. Stop rating resturants low for things they cant help. My only gripe with Golden Corral and the reason I knocked off a star is because a visit or two ago, I tried to get a little cup for some soup. I tried three cups off the stack of them next to the soups, and all three were still dirty with dried on food. The dishwasher needs to pay more attention. Then again, like my father-in-law stated on another review site, its really difficult to hire good dish help.

This was our worst experience at any Golden Coral. I realize this place is new but there was a black woman with a lot of weave for hair and her main concern was her cell phone. Tables were dirty for long periods of time...I had to get up to get water (which is no big deal). the food line was an embarrassment with a single long line..this was Sunday and the food prep was terrible .. nobody really knew their jobs. Food was undercooked including meats and the gravy was total water and the kitchen appeared totally unprepared for the day. the time frame 11:30 -12:30 STAY. I am not being harsh, I used to own restaurants (2) and THIS performance was totally unacceptable . The worst $25.00 I ever spent for restaurant food...including McDonalds..The lady who covered the area should be let go.

When comeing to this golden corral i was honestly excited and everything was perfect the wait was very short for a week after its opening but it seemed to me the service was sitting around doing nothing my drink stood empty for a good passage of time before any service refilled it with that said the staff itself was livey and energetic the food is ok for the time of day we visted and the rate they put it out was actully decent compaired to the other locations all in all the staff awareness and the layout were its biggest weaknesses i suppose the large amount of staff on hand is due to the large grand opening crowds anyways ot was a 4 star dineing experience only for the factor in this town a new buffet is always a positive for me

For a family of 8, we only waited about 15 minutes on a Friday night. The hostesses were very friendly assuring us we were their top priority! Our server Tiffany was great, our other server was ok I guess. I dont remember her name, not sure she told us really. The food was fresh, hot, and really good! The lady working the salad bar was a little rude and bothered by guests apparently but the owner was quick to get her in gear. The sweet tea was terrible :( over all a good experience and very smooth operating by the employees for such a busy environment! Ill be back for sure

This is the worst and dirtiest Golden Corral we have ever been to! This place shouldnt be open! The place is dirt. Not only is the food ALL over the food counters mixed in with the other foods the floors have food all grounded in it. There were no clean forks that were available to eat with. Told the manager and his comment was" I dont know where all the forks are going to ". REALLY? The place is busy but come on!! We paid premium weekend price and it was horrible. The only good thing here is our waitress Tyeesha. Shes a keeper. At least she brought us plastic forks!! LOL

Me and my family came in at 6pm and the food was amazing, it was hot and the Buffett was filled the whole time. But what made out experience even more pleasant was our server Angie. She always had a smile on her face and kept our drinks filled even though she was very busy and what seems like to have been waiting on one whole side of the restaurant. She offered good conversation and made our experience very pleasant something most servers dont do too often. I give my experience tonight an A+ and will definitely be coming back.

Been there twice, meal tickets $70 to $90s. Not bad for any other Golden Corral that Ive been to. From Evansville to Kissimmee, never been disappointed until now. Does anyone remember how bad Ryans was..OM_G this place makes Ryans look great. Its bad, I mean Bad!!! If you are looking for a good buffet go to Evansville or Henderson GC. Hate to say it, but your kids school cafeteria will serve higher quality and better tasting food then Golden Corral in Owensboro. Greg E. Owenboro, KY

Travel 30 miles to either of the other 2 Golden Corral (Henderson Ky or Evansville IN) and as a veteran, I get a discount. In Owensboro, they dont offer it Worth the travel to either of the other two for respect. The food was okay, that is worth the one star. The service is was terrible. Waitress proceeded to bring our water to the table and told my family, "juice machine isnt working, when they fix it, I will bring some juice to you" But made no offer to substitute.

The food is not near as tasty as Evansville Golden Coral, Henderson or Louisville. The inside of the building lacks taste and atmosphere. The other GCs I mentioned have all that. Why is this one so different? I waited for it to come to Owensboro for two years and I was disappointed. There is a lot of business there. I dont know why. I guess some people will eat food no matter how its prepared. I will never go back to that one. I will continue to go to Evansville GC.

First thing was a soon as you walk in the entrance it smelled very musty and almost rotten. We did decide to eat anyway to see how it was. Once we got in the whole restaurant was extremely hot. We had to search for a cool table. The food was OK. My grandson had lots of choices to choose from so that was good. My biggest concern was having to wipe sweat of my face while eating. Just couldnt totally enjoy my dinner because of the heat. Probably wont go back.

Huge assortment of food, great variety. Had a room for large groups and the waitress was on top of everything. I didnt have to wait for my glass to empty before she asked if I wanted more tea. Only thing that kept me from 5 stars was the price for Sunday seems quite high. Not sure why that was but we had a mini-family reunion so we paid AMD had a good time. Plus I think we put a dent in their food stock so maybe the price was worth it, lol..

Presentation was not very good had to wait on food I was in restaurant operations for 10 years I would have been fired if my bars look like that need to get some quality help in there bar Runners had no food to bring out was waiting on everything took 20 minutes to get a glass of tea not a very good experience at all what I recommend Golden Corral to anybody else I would tell them to go to the one in Huntsville
