Worst experience ever! My wife called in our order I went to pick it up when I got there I was ignored by the manager and staff for 30 minutes whenever I would ask about my order I was treated very rudely I was told by the manager that he was very busy and that if I wanted to talk to him I had to come in the back and talk to him while he was working and that he did not have time to discuss my problems and that I would just have to wait my order would be done in a while by the time this transpired I had been there for almost an hour after being consistently talk to like I was a jerk for an hour I started to get angry at this point the manager got in my face and demanded to know which carrier I was with at that point I realized he thought I was a delivery driver and thats why he thought he could be disrespectful to me and treat me like an a****** when I told him I was not a driver but I was picking up food for my family and I lived down the street his attitude changed and he started giving me weak apologies and cheesy lines of b******* when I finally got my food home my order was all wrong of course the manager I think his name was Tim should be ashamed of himself does this job half ass and thinks that he is the all-powerful manager and cant talk down to his employees and delivery drivers if you ask me hes a little b**** so f*** you Tim and kizuki ramen I will not be back

Memorably terrible. My date and I went here to see their "dinner and a movie" where they project a movie in the dining area. Sounds great until you realize only 10 sets can truly see and hear the movie in the dining area (thats if they had audio at all). I thought at least they would make up for it with good food and service, but the service was terrible. Easily the worst Ive had in any restaurant. They said the wait would be 20 mins. 40 minutes later we asked the host how long and he said he texted us 20 minutes ago...he had the wrong number. Luckily he seated us right away, but had to remove my place setting and water because someone had run into the table and spilled it across the table. I never got another water so my date and I shared his. Our waiter came by three times, once to take order, once he asked if we were okay AS he walked past us and wasnt listening, and once to give us the check. We wanted cocktails and dessert, but he never came so we never ordered them. My date went so far as to go up to the bar to get us drinks, but no one was at the bar so after 5 minutes he returned empty handed. I will never return.

Context: Ive tried much ramen in my various food journeys through much of the Asian continent such as Japan, Singapore, and Hong Kong. I am reviewing the garlic tonkotsu shoyu ramen with pork belly and karaage chicken. Karaage: Tender inside, not the crispiest or tastiest batter. Flavored well. Comes in five pieces. Broth: Not as much depth and flavor as Santouka ramen (in Schaumburg, IL) and quite greasy to be honest. Still tasty nonetheless. Pork belly: Falls apart in the soup, but not as tender as a whole (when chewing). I wouldve appreciated a sear on the meat like what Misoya ramen does (again, in Schaumburg, IL). Taste is mediocre, but meaty. Noodles: A bit overcooked, wouldve appreciated more bounce to them. Egg: Probably the only flawless thing here. Perfectly yolky and flavored well. Cost: Relatively cheaper than its competitors with a sizable portion. Service: Quick, kind, attentive. Ambience: Large, hip, intricate. Tldr: Its dependable ramen if you have the occasional ramen crave, but dont expect the best.

Been here twice now. Like the decor, Ive been to Japan several times, including to ramen shops, and this place has a very authentic Japanese feel to it - complete with Anime posters. The staff were very friendly. I ordered the spicy ramen and a green tea. The waiter forgot the green tea, and I had to remind him. He was apologetic and got it right away, no big deal. But as with the first time, I was surprised with how quickly they delivered the ramen, and it tasted very under-cooked. I like my noodles a bit al dente, but this was too much even for me. Also, the pork came in one giant slab as opposed to in several slices like usual, and so I was forced to tear it apart with my chopsticks. It also tasted a bit under-cooked, which made it harder to tear apart. It may be just my personal taste. Others seem to like the place. But I prefer some of the other Chicago ramen shops Ive reviewed on here, so probably wont be going back.

Just went here tonight (6/18) and I loved everything! Appetizers included Onigiri, Goma Ae, and Takoyaki. For Ramen: If you like a light, bright flavor try the Yuzu Ramen, which is what I had. If you want a full, rich flavor have the Garlic Tonkatsu, which my boyfriend enjoyed. Also try the Whiskey and Shochu Flights. They are a perfect way to sample three different types of high quality spirits. Shochu is likened to Vodka, but as someone who hates vodka and LOVED the Shochu, it is another animal entirely and is extremely smooth and palatable! Cant wait to come back! ALSO! The staff are wonderful and collectively greet you and thank you in Japanese as you are entering and leaving the establishment.

I like their interior space and finishing touches. They do have authentic Ramen noodles and all the soup stocks are good too. I think where they kind of fall short is the attention to details in terms of food presentation and customer service. The waitress was very pleasant and friendly, but service was not so good--we waited to get seated (it wasnt full), waited to get order taken, and waited to get served and waited to get beverages refilled and waited to get your check and waited to get your card charged etc. My suggestion is to get a good manager. They have a good team but I didnt see anyone in charge of keeping the place running smoothly.

Ramen has been all the rage in Chicago lately, but most are sub par (most notably, the other shops that line Milwaukee in Wicker Park). However, Kizuki does ramen and izakaya in a fantastic manner, and has quickly topped my list of places in the city after 1 meal (pork gyoza, chicken karaage, and Garlic Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen). The karaage is delicately fried and remains super moist, the ramen broth is rich and flavorful, and the noodles are springy and chewy as it should be. Lovely decor, and it feels like a ramen shop from LA. Highly recommended.

Really good ramen with high quality ingredients. Grand opening is next week on March 4th, and they do take reservations. We went for the soft opening. The garlic ramen is really good and very strong. At $13, it may be a bit too expensive. I also tried the dipping ramen with the tonkotsu broth. I liked it but the noodles will stick together so I ordered a side of clear brother to let it sit in a bowl. The dipping ramen was $11. I think the Shio ramen costs $9 so I will probably get that next time! Yes, I do plan to come back.
