Best Ramen in the Chicago area. But a bit $$ for the portion size. The only things that would make it better for me is if i saw them making the noodles from scratch and the place had that strong pungent smell of a ramen shop from Japan. It is a very clean, modern, urban designed shop that matches the great food. I appreciate the commitment to consistent quality, manifested in the menu size. Instead of the jack of all trades master of none approach to a menu, they appear to have found the right balance to maintain quality and keep my interest. Each time i have been there, my familys stomachs have been treated to a consistently great meal. The bathrooms are clean. This is a must for me. It indicates the commitment of a business to its customers and philosophy of cleanliness towards the establishment and operations. I have not experienced any wait times but may have been lucky.

I so wanted this place to be fantastic, but it is really disappointing. They quoted a 45 minute wait for a table. No objection, its a hot new restaurant and got a table in 15 minutes. Strike 1: they seated us by a constantly opening door on a freezing night. It was so cold. When we asked to be moved to an open table, they first said it would confuse the kitchen. Then, they moved us, to an equally cold spot. Strike 2: Im jumping ahead, but they brought our appetizers 10 minutes after our main dish and said nothing. No apology, no comment. Strike 3: even though the restaurant had started to empty, it took 30 minutes to bring our ramen. The food was good, but not good enough to overcome the wait. The people sitting next to us told us they had been waiting a full hour for the food. I will not return.

Very authentic ramen shop and Japanese owned. Its the best in the north east burbs. The Sammy is the mild tonkotsu (pork bone broth). Its very good but I wish it was a full tonkotsu broth and not mixed with a chicken broth. The fried chicken (karaage) was also very good. Overall, Torino is a great ramen shop. The space is small but comfortable and the staff was friendly. It gets busy really quick so get there early or be prepared for a wait.

Wait, good ethnic food in Wilmette, of all places? Shut the front door. But actually, yes. Spot on authenticity in a clean, simple menu. Beautifully done ramen, gorgeous steamed buns, and the chef is out and about being friendly and wonderful. Theyre new and hot and go there a bunch so they stay open, because if you make me go back to driving to Mitsua for a decent bowl of real ramen I will hold you personally responsible.

Our great expectations were dashed by too many factors. The ramen bowls were of varying quality; the vegetarian is tasteless. All the sake offerings were sweet and there was only one choice each of a middling red or white wine in a stingy pour. The rather loud tasteless elevator music required a louder conversation level that made it too noisy for a pleasant meal. Will not return.

Always looking for great ramen. This is good ramen. Menu is somewhat limited, and some items have not been available the 3 times Ive gone. Ill keep going because it is convenient, but I will tire of the menu soon. Not too much variety. Maybe as they really get going theyll continue to add more options.

I have been going there every Saturday night with a friend or two. We always see people we know, it is a great vibe with lots of happy people trying the noodles and sake. I saw that some people want more noodles. You can order a double portion for $2.50 extra. Disclosure: my wife works in the kitchen!

Not much of a wait before noon. I had the chilled ramen salad, which was delicious, but I wasnt thrilled with the tofu because it was silky. I prefer traditional firm tofu, which seems hard to find in restaurants. I was warned that the portions are smallish, so that wasnt a surprise.

I went there for lunch on a Tuesday. It was packed with people, so there was a little bit of wait for the food to arrive. But it was well worth. The Ramen was tasty. The waitress was nice. The price for Ramens were expensive though. They were $12+.

New ramen place in Evanston area. I think the food is good, not the best ramen I had but its good. The portions are tiny though, so if you are hungry, better order the extra noodle or meat. Place is small, so come early or prepare to wait.

Trendy restaurant serving Ramen noodles. Came here on a weekday for lunch. The place was busy and I had to wait 15 minutes for a table. The servers were pleasant. I had the Toronto Ramen. Very good. Definitely worth the wait time.

One of the best new restaurants on the North Shore. They have a wide range of ramen options along with a great selection of appetizers and beverages. They also bring in seasonal dishes.

This is a great ramen place run by some Japanese ex-pats. In addition to ramen, try the sides. I like "the Sammy" ramen and the karage chicken.

I am a big fan of ramen. And it was great. Especially the spicy one is the best. I recommend you to try it.
