My wife and I stopped for lunch on July 16, just to see what they had on the menu and how the food was. In a word, FANTASTIC. Inside, the combination diner/restaurant/seafood house is pleasantly appointed and clean. The hostess staff was very friendly. Hostess happened to seat us near a group of about 20 people. Our server happened to be also be the one serving that large group. The service was excellent in spite of the large group. Our server almost immediately stopped by the table, got our drink order. She gave good recommendations about food choices. She was knowledgeable about the menu items, but was honest about things she had not yet had opportunity to personally try. We were kept posted about the status of our order. I’m not a connoisseur, but I liked the presentation of the food. It was timely and everything was really tasty. The owner/chef, George, came by and talked to us for a few moments and introduced his wife to us. It’s notable that Tatiana was on the floor the whole time we were there, so there were ample opportunities for customers to provide feedback whether positive or negative to her. Our server was attentive, but didn’t hover. Water was kept topped off. We really enjoyed our dining experience and can’t wait to go back. There are so many new things we want to try. Just 349 more trips and we will have tried everything on the menu! A note about other reviews. At the time of this writing, there are 14 other reviews. Twelve are highly complementary and 2 less so. People and businesses can all have off days. Management needs to be made aware AT THE TIME if something isn’t right. Given the opportunity, I’m confident that they will make whatever effort necessary to correct any known problem and ensure their customers are satisfied. The hostesses, food, service, timing, and proactive owner/managers are over the top at the Royal Rose. Thanks to George and Tatiana for bringing this wonderful restaurant to us.

Had dinner here this evening. Menu options are vast, almost too much so.. I had the veal Marsala. Subbed rice for pasta. Tender medallions of veal, just the right amount of wine. Could have done better with the mushrooms, spongy with undertone of canned. Spinach was cooked similarly to southern greens, drippy with bacon, onion and garlic..sweet bread was soft and sweet..reminded me of Portuguese sweet bread. Husband had prime rib Au Jus..slices of rib..Tender enough, but salty in finish. Not a favorite. The clincher..we had a coupon for a free desert. Now the coupon didnt designate what kind, mind you. The server come back and said that we could only order cheesecake, ok, fine..she returns and informs me no plain cheesecake, peanut butter instead. Well, I am not a fan of any flavored cheesecake, so I asked for a substitution, and was declined that request. Did I have to mention the coupon didnt designate? We spent over 50 bucks here..really? So I just declined the desert that brought me in to your establishment when you didnt specify which one to begin with..For that reason alone, I will not return..A shame really, because I live close by...

My husband and I stopped in this evening to try out the restaurant. We were both disappointed with our food. I ordered the triple decker egg salad and bacon sandwich with no tomatoes... what I received didnt look like egg salad at all plus it had tomatoes on it. The egg salad looked more like chicken salad....it wasnt even yellow in color. I said something to the waitress and she said that it was egg salad. My husband ordered the pepper steak....it had 3 little pieces of steak. (Mostly peppers and rice) On Monday I contacted the restaurant to report what had taken place on Sunday. The lady who answered the phone was very helpful and concerned about the food and the service that we had received. She took my name and number and told me that she would let the manager know about my complaint. I received a call from the owner this evening and she apologized for what had happened. She said that she would address the waitress about the service that we received. She also told me that she wanted to make things right with us. I will be giving Royal Rose another try real soon. Thanks

This was my first time eating at this place, and it was a suggestion from a friend, but I doubt either of us will return. We had a late lunch and we both ordered the Greek Chicken Lemon soup to start. It came to the table tepid at best, and I think if it had been any colder it would have congealed. I have never had Greek Lemon soup of any kind be served creamy. I prefer, and am used to, a healthier broths based version, which is much more flavorful. The rice in the soup was terribly overcooked, as well. My friend ordred a chicken Caesar salad and did not eat the chicken because she said it tasted like it had been fried in the same oil as fish. I had the eggplant parses an, which was surprisingly good, but the pasta that accompanied it was just "okay."

I cant say enough good things about the Roal Rose Diner-Seafood House in Huntsville, AL! The entire staff is always very pleasant and do a great job, from the host/hostess, to the waitstaff, to the chefs, to the owners; George and Tatiana are always eager to please! The menu is awesome with several pages of wonderful fare, everything is always freshly prepared, the seafood is always fresh, never frozen! My wife and I have been going there for over a year now and I have yet to have a complaint about my order. The portions are very plentiful. And I must say, that if you ever have something that you dont think is right, please ask to see George or Tatiana, they will make it right!

Let me start the owner is sweet and wonderful. The rest of our visit was ruined because of a server that didnt know how to do her job. We didnt get drinks for 30 - 45 mins. Then didnt get the calamari till after an hour had past. Then before our food was out she laid the tab on our table. If not for the manager/ owner we wouldnt have had silverware, any refills, a knife for our steak, creamer for coffee, or napkins. It took about an hour and 45 mins till we received our food. Then we heard the server bragging to the table behind us that they get off at 7. I would not recommend this place just because of Amanda T.

Service was phenomenal and decor was homey and inviting....the excitement stops there. The calamari is rubbery and the marinara watery and bland, my chicken cordon bleu tasted like freezer burned chicken and the sauce was unpleasant. My friend ordered shrimp Alfredo and the Alfredo sauce tasted worse than jarred extremely salty with an aftertaste. Her boyfriends pancakes were mealy and tasted awkward. I felt like I was watching an episode of restaurant makeover lol they definitely need a menu revamp. Ill stick to Marietta diner in GA they definitely do it better lol.
