This is a must do for all Chicagoans! Good burgers, amazing loaded fries and boozy milkshakes (which sadly Ive yet to try). Small clean interior with 6 tables but I prefer the small 6 table sidewalk patio. Both of our burgers were good , attributed in large part due to the sauces and toppings, the burger seemed to be a little dense and bland. Homemade buns topped with white and black sesame seeds was a nice touch and definitely held up to all the sauce slop! Amazing Grace burger with Carolina BBQ sauce, fried onions and pork belly was our favorite, the sauce was sweet and delicious. The Easy Rider burger was messy with its thick red BBQ sauce but with two thin slices of bacon Im not sure the menu description of bacon, and more bacon is really accurate! Polish fries were by far the best part of the entire meal, huge portion of extra crispy tater sticks smothered in melted cheese, kielbasa and sauerkraut. Blue Cheese fries were good, we loved the super spicy sauce on them but wished the blue cheese chunks were smaller. Its probably not near your house, but find a way to get there and check it out!

Have been here twice lately and have been impressed both times. The decor is all rock and roll with pictures and videos of some of the greatest rock & roll legends. Have had the Easy Rider, Black Betty and Amazing Grace. My favorite so far is the Easy Rider, a delicious burger with smoked bacon, more bacon, cheddar cheese, homemade pickles and Bourbon BBQ Sauce. The homemade pickles are tasty and really good. If you order any of the hand cut fries, the order is very large and should be shared by 2 or 3 people. The last time we tried the Garlic Parmesan Fries which I did not like, I prefer the house fries. I look forward to returning and checking out more of the items on the menu. #CityExperts @GoogleLocalCHI #PartyOnLG

Went for the first time with my son. His chocolate shake was yummy. Fries were good. Beer selection was tasty. But, this is a burger place so youd expect an outstanding burger and the Leadbelly was outstandingly not edible. Very nice waiter and service but how do you mess up a burger when thats what you do? I honestly dont know what it was? Beef? Not sure. Asked for medium and it was just this gray undercooked tasteless wad of meat. Was hoping for something special and was disappointed. My son got a fried chicken sandwich. Dry and more fried than chicken. A bummer. This is my first review and I had to write because Im getting tired of spending good money on crappy food. Chicagoans should have better tastebuds than this.

Leadbelly is a small burger joint. The burger contains smoked porkbelly and ground beef. There are many delicious options for toppings, as well as chicken or portabello mushroom subs for the meat. The rolls are house-made, and when they run out, no more sammies. The rolls definitely hold up to all the delicious burger toppints. The fries are twice cooked, and available with toppings. There are a few beers on draft, with many more by the bottle. There are some shakes, which you can get with alcoholic additions. The only problem is that the place is tiny, but food is available for carryout. Definitely will fix your burger jones.

This place is amazing. After having a short conversation w/the only male server there, he persuaded me to try the Amazing Grace. He claimed you wouldnt find that burger anywhere else. I felt a little experimental so I decided to go for it. Im a little picky prick when it comes to my food and am known not to finish my food if I dont like what Im eating, sometimes even returning food. The Amazing Grace is by far the best burger Ive had yet. (And ive tried just aboutt all the burger joints off of Chicagos Best; not to mention the soo many other burger joints and steak houses) I will be returning to Leadbelly this weekend.

We happened upon this spot today and will absolutely be heading back. Burgers were tremendous (and huge! hellllo lunch tomorrow :) ), fries were delicious (and so many choices!), and the selection of beer as well as condiments was really cool. Clean and funky decor, we were serenaded by a Queen concert on a background television. And the staff was incredibly friendly! We did not get a chance to try the milkshakes or, even more tragic, the adult milkshakes but that and a chance to try a different burger will bring us back very soon.

I only discovered BRGRBELLY recently, but Im now determined to eat there more often. I was immediately taken with the restaurants interior upon arriving. The walls are covered in images of bands and artists, ranging from the rolling stones to Kurt Cobain. Portions and prices are very fair and the food is flavorful and well served. I particularly liked the way in which my pick up order was packages in a plastic to-go container rather than just some wrapped paper. I look forward to returning and sampling more of the menu.

The food tastes fantastic. Expensive, but delicious. The service is terrible, which is why I wont be back. The last time I was there they forgot about our order (which, whatever it happens) but they didnt even apologize for it. They saw us still waiting and did the thing where they hide in the back until the food is ready. Then when it finally came out they didnt say sorry our offer us anything, or even say thank you. Just said "here" and handed us our burger that we waited 45 minutes for.

Only open on the weekends, but well worth the scheduling in some weekend time. These are great burgers, akin to places like Kumas, Lockdowns, etc, with homemade buns that make them especially good. The place will actually close up if they run out of buns! The hand cut fries are also delicious and come in different types like blue cheese, which is what I got. Youll leave stuffed and totally satisfied. They also have shakes, beer, and the alcoholic smoothies too.

I live around the corner and dont care for the place much. Service has been very slow the last two times Ive visited and there was just my group and a few other people in the store. Also what they have on the menu is what you get. You cant make up your own food if you want something plain. In terms of taste their burgers are too greasy for my taste and dont taste good overall. Again these are my personal observances. If you like fatty stuff youll like it.

I cannot stress how pleasant my experience at leadbelly was. I had the easy rider and pork belly fries. Both were beyond fantastic, definitely one of my favorite burgers in the city thus far. Beer selection was fantastic. Every employee was beyond pleasant. I really cannot stress how good the experience was. Definitely a gem in a neighborhood with few choices that stand out.

Good. Expensive for what it is. Fries dont come with the burger and the girl taking the order didnt ask us if we wanted them. Ordered fries after burgers came out and wound up waiting for the fries well after our burgers were done. Ordered burgers medium and served well done - no color to the meat. Fairly tasty though. Like 5 Guys better.
