DO NOT ORDER FOOD FROM JWOK IF YOU HAVE FOOD ALLERGIES, OR ARE A VEGETARIAN. They are extremely careless with such dietary restrictions, and have demonstrated very little concern for anyone with them. I placed my order online so that the order was in writing, and could not be misunderstood over the phone. I ordered two vegetarian sushi rolls, two vegetarian egg rolls and a vegetarian noodle dish. My friend and I ate the egg rolls first, and my friend mentioned that he thought there was meat in them. Then, we ate the sushi rolls. The ingredients were ground up/mashed together, so I did not notice they contained salmon until after my throat started feeling itchy (I am allergic). I took a Benedryl and called the restaurant. The man who answered, Jerry, told me that online orders are manually entered by someone at the restaurant after they come in online. He confirmed that there was an inputting error, and that I was sent the wrong thing. Jerry offered to correct the mistake and send me a meat-free order, or refund me. I was deeply disturbed by the fact that Jerry was more concerned with convincing me that it wasnt his fault (even though his name was on the receipt), than he was with making sure I was okay. I said I wanted a full refund and for the manager to call me, since the manager was not there at the time. Jerry agreed to cancel the charge, and give my message to the manager. But the manager never called me, and the refund was never issued. In fact, the amount was modified. JWok charged me for the dishes they *thought* they got right. They didnt even have the decency to call and tell me they were still going to charge me. I have yet to mention in this review that there was a piece of chicken in the noodle dish, so I had to throw that out too. I called and got Jerry again. He said the manager insisted on making me pay for all but the sushi. He also became extremely combative when I got angry that the manager had yet to call me. Jerry told me that the manager/owner, Jason Weng, only comes in at night ... and if I wanted to speak to him so badly, I could come in at closing time at 9 p.m. and hope to catch him then. Jerry said that the manager/owner is almost never there, and that there is no one else in charge ... ever. Then he hung up on me. I kept calling back, and Jerry would hang up before I said a word. I kept calling and finally got a girl named Paola, who said Jerry told her to talk to me. Paola seemed much more empathetic and apologetic, and promised to have the manager/owner call me. But, Jason Weng never did. I ultimately called my bank and told them what happened. They investigated, then agreed with me and reversed the charge. BOTTOM LINE: JWok never has anyone on duty who is willing to take responsibility for anything. That is very scary in the food business. And, JWok definitely does not think anything of the fact that they served meat and fish to a vegetarian of 20 years ... and, someone who is allergic to seafood. Dont order from here if you have any dietary restrictions!!!

Horrible service!!!!! I had been dining in and ordering from them for quite a while now. Sometimes 2 times a week. I recently sent my son to purchase two dinner meals for us and they forgot to add one of the sides.....I called back to let them know they forgot my side.. and they got offended argued with me that they put it in. Why in the world would I go through the trouble for a SIDE!!!! it was 3 crab rangoon. Seriously!! They continued to tell me they went as far as to looking at the camera to see and still stuck to the story that they gave it to me. I could not believe what was happening. I had never experienced such poor customer service.. First of all that they even had the nerve to make me feel like I was trying to get something for free, and second that they (still after looking at camera) would not admit to making a mistake.!!! my order was only $20. I cant imagine what they would have treated me like if it was only $5. I promise I will never order from them again, and qill spread the word of what horrible customer service they offer!!! Its too bad because I really hoped this would have never happened.

I just received the most terrible service placing my delivery order. And the order was wrong when I sat down to eat it. When I called back, the guy on the phone was extremely rude and told me I ordered a California roll and that the calls are recorded. How would he even remember my order verbatim two hours after the fact? I absolutely hate California rolls and have vowed to never pay for anything with imitation crabmeat, so I will be rolling through this place as soon as Im off work to hear this recording he has of me even uttering the word "California"... The rolls that I did order were great, but Ill never ever order here again, I dont care what the manager does to resolve it. And they will resolve it or I will protest on Roosevelt Rd! Ill make signs and picket all by my lonesome, lol, I will be that petty over one roll of sushi simply because of the way I was treated by the guy over the phone. And Im usually such an understanding and flexible person! How dare he get short and belligerent with me, telling me what I ordered?! The audacity....!!

The service I got was not good. 1st I was charged for an item that I had ordered, but did not received. When I called, they said to mention it next time. They contested that I did received it. after several minutes, they said mention it next time. They never apologize and would not credit me at the time. Found some brush brissles /fibers (metal that cleans grates) in my fried rice. I bit into it and it jabbed me in the top of my mouth. When I called, they said that it couldnt be that. No apology again. Tell us next time. Thought I would give them one more chance. Order and reminded them of the incidents that occurred 1-2 weeks earlier. Would not honor the credit. Very rude about it. Will not go back. Rude, dishonest and dangerous. Obviously not a clean location/ kitchen.would not even give them one star, but that is the only way it allows me to post this review.

I dont know what idea of chinese food people have, but this is not chinese food at all. I was really excited when I saw online that they had some things in the menu that looked like real food (not that disgusting fried rice everywhere), but this restaurant clearly does not have a clue. The fried tofu was a mix of greasy nasty mushy things that I tried because I paid for it, but that was all. The wontons (how can anyone get them wrong???) were hard, not fried in parts, and the filling was clearly absent. The soups were the best, but even so theyre terribly bland. Ill not repeat for sure, big disappointment! :(

Doesnt even deserve 1. I ordered a egg fu young special which is $9.95 comes with 2 patties and rice, when i got home I ate half of the dinner. When i got to the second patty there was a 4 inch hair in my patty i took it back to the restaurant, when i got there i asked if can i get my money back or something different at the same price. The lady had to call the manager, when she did that she came to me and said I can only receive half my money back. Since i ate half the dinner. How was i supposed to know there was a hair in the second patty?
