I had a mocha and it was very good, wish I had ordered the large. Also like that they have gluten free bread for their sandwiches, looking forward to trying one next time. And really, really like that they designed the coffee prep stations using garage workbenches! Update: I have now tried their ham and havarti sandwich on the recommendation of one of the staff and it was very good. It was $7 I think and I got it on gluten free bread which was a $2 upcharge and the sandwich was pretty small. So I wouldnt say it was a good value but it was good. I do have a little bit of an off putting feeling when you pay by credit card and the screen asks you if you want to tip. The screen has yes/no options and percentages. While I do think their customer service is good, I wish everywhere that this was the norm rather than something special that you feel obliged to do especially when put on the spot like this. Its a little too in-the-face for me. When I go to a counter service kind of place I just dont expect to be asked to tip. Its one thing to have a tip jar on the counter, its another to have a computer screen come right out and ask you. I do always tip 20% when there is table service and I know everyone is trying to make a buck, but when my smaller than usual sandwich was already $9, I wasnt really interested in adding even another dollar or two when it was already out of reasonable range to me for what I got. Especially since the person who just gave you customer service is standing right in front of you and it feels awkward if you say no to the tip like you werent happy with their service, when in actuality it has nothing to do with them. So my recommendation is bring cash so youre not faced with the whole pressured tip thing, and you can voluntarily...not because youre asked....decide to throw something in the tip jar on the counter if you want. That being said, I do like this place and will be back and do recommend it. I will come back for their coffee, and would like to try their baked goods sometime. I would like to someday see the owner behind this to put a face with the great design concept and menu you have for your place.

I ordered a latte and a croissant. The croissant tasted stale. When I asked the guy at the counter if they were freshly made, he replied with a sarcastic "Im pretty sure" remark and gave me a look as much as to say "Dont bother me". The latte was more than $5.00 and I did not tip. He had a very disgusted look on his face and his body language told me that I wasnt welcome. I wish I had gotten his name. He was wearing a black shirt and had blue streaks of color in his hair. He seemed very sarcastic overall. Im not sure if he just had a problem with me or if that is how he is all the time. The blonde girl at the counter also seemed like she was upset. The place seems nice from the pictures and Im surprised they have so many good reviews, but my experience was the opposite. Bad customer service. Did I mention the latte tasted below average. There have been other complaints about the croissants and I wish they would pay attention to what the customers are saying about their service. Anyways, my two bits.

Amazing coffee bar right off Randall Road!!! One thing I love about downtown Chicago is being able to find unique coffee houses every few blocks with a relaxed environment and great coffee. This place makes a mean macchiato with Intelligensia coffee! I also love that they have great hours that make it a nice place to hang out in the evenings or grab a coffee in the mornings quickly going south on Randall. And they didnt cheap out on the decor which I feel many first time standalone coffee houses mistakenly do. Cool. Fun. Hip. Whatever you want to call it, i will definitely be going back.

Absolutely love this place! There coffee makes Starbucks look like a joke! Its brewed to perfection with numerous options! Tried a pumpkin spice latte both iced and hot and it was the best psl I have ever had! They dont use a weird orange syrup like Starbucks its real spice the way it should be done! The food items are top notch you must try the chess pie! Its beautiful inside very spacious and modern. The service is also good! My only complaint is I would love a bigger cup option coffee is just too good for the small cups they offer

WOW! Daily Projects is a hidden GEM! great atmosphere, great proximity for client meetings, and a clean establishment. I will and definitely recommend meetings with clients at the intersection of Randall and Algonquin - easy access, great place! OH- and the coffee- very good, something different, and a friendly staff - i had the slow pour, and then a drip to go - both were great. I didnt get the staffs name, but the young ladies were both pleasant - thank you!

Very cool place in a surprisingly unhip location. They have tables with plenty of power outlets, decent free WiFi, serve coffee in mugs with free refills (but dont be stingy) and the prices for sandwiches and snacks are "reasonably priced" for a coffee shop. Seems to relatively popular with the tech and business types so is a good place to meet clients or colleagues.

A much needed trend setter here in the burbs! Coffee is spot on. Owners are amiable, knowledgeable and dedicated. Kids love the space (minus one odd photo on the wall). Personally, I recommend the vanilla cold brew! Follow on social media for updates, specials and shot outs - tweets and such are not in excess. Support your local biznez!

Awesome coffee bar. Stopped in while my girlfriend filled up the tank at the gas station nearby and picked up a cup of coffee, some snickerdoodles, and a strawberry lemonade. The coffee was great and my girlfriend, a strawberry lemonade connoisseur, loved the strawberry lemonade. Friendly staff, great experience.

Im always looking for a coffee place off the beaten chain path. For that alone it piqued my interest while I was out for a ride. This place has great coffee, friendly service and an inviting atmosphere. Perfect for dropping in or spending an hour to get some reading done.

Daily Projects is a great place! I love their coffee and menu items. Definitely try one of their sandwiches and a smoothie. The atmosphere is totally chill and the staff is friendly and helpful. They only downside is that most items are a little pricy.

Great dark roast coffee pour over. And the service was perfect, staff super friendly. It was my first time and my wife raved about it. I cant wait to go back. Love to support local businesses like this vs anti American corporate junk like Starbucks.

Lucky to have such a place in the area. Huge space with outlets everywhere for connecting electronics. Fast WiFi. And most of all, outstanding coffee (Intelligensia!) and food. Friendly owners and staff. They really have thought of everything.

I absolutely love Daily Projects, and think I prefer Intelligentsia coffee to Starbucks. I love the roomy atmosphere, ample seating, and the fantastic work spaces! Looking forward to having future meetings here, quiet study times and good coffee.
