Cute little dinner with a fun menu! The baked goods in the counter are usually pretty good, and their lunch menu is awesome. The only falling down point is actually their breakfast. The biscuits are decent, but they tend to overcook their eggs. (Sunny side up is normally perfect, but anything ordered scrambled or in an omelet has come out dry every time Ive been here). The pancakes taste good but are heavy and thick rather than light and fluffy, which was a turn off for me. I fully admit this might be a personal taste issue, though. If you like thick pancakes, youll probably love these! (If youre watching your calories, get a kids pancake! Its cheaper and half the size, so you can have a pancake but not get overloaded, cause their pancakes are big.) Also, every fried special Ive had here has been...not so great. All their cornmeal battered fish sounds good, but the fry is always coming off the wet fish when it arrives, and its just kind of ick. Taste is usually a little bland, too, so I dont order fish here anymore. Just stick to the normal menu and youll have a great time! (I highly recommend the BBQ or the mozzarella balsamic sandwich for lunch and the birds nest for breakfast!) Overall, a great little dinner thats thirty seconds too long in the pan from being really fantastic. Its also almost never super busy and its open early on weekends, so its a great place to go if you have kids who wake up at the crack of dawn. Close to Athens, too, so try it!

I love the food here. Its always interesting and flavorful. Breakfast is awesome particularly the pancakes and their specials. The biscuits are amazingly good and gigantic. Homemade jam on the tables too. The staff is small and the ordering line can get slow, but otherwise I would say service is good. They are super friendly and nice folks that really make guests feel welcome. The out door seating can get wet in the mornings so dont count on it if you get here when they open. My only real complaint is their fish. They cannot seem to do fish right. They either overcook the fish or, if its fried, the under coating is watery. Still thats not worth knocking a star off IMO as this isnt a fish or a fry place.

We are visiting from NY, down to see our boys. We were looking for a breakfast place that wasnt fast food. Little City Diner came recommended by one of the local folk in Winterville. The atmosphere was upbeat and comfortable, with whimsical artwork and décor. The wait staff were accommodating and helpful, The food was fresh and fantastic. (garden omelet with the freshest veggies) The bakery case had a small yet exciting choice of cakes and desserts. We will definitely be going back before we head north to NY.

Ive taken all of my friends here to try it out and everyone loved it. My wife and I eat here all the time as well. Service is fast, staff are friendly, food is top quality, and you can taste the freshness. If you have ever thought about eating here seriously give it a shot. Also special mention to whoever does the baking there. The biscuits are on point.
