Obviously the other reviewers are like myself and miss the old location and atmosphere. The newer location is like a bonafide Applebees but worse. If you go in and expect to grab a brew make sure you dont bring rowdy friends as this is more a restaraunt than bar. I once had a conversation and was discussing religion and such in a debate fashion. Well the table behind me - again with like 6 kids and parents (past 7 o clock) asked if we could keep the "bad language" down. We had not cursed, but then I guess in the bible belt its the same. So if you are either an old couple looking for a beer and your dinner, a lazy family who cant cook, or a baseball coach with a team of seven year olds post-game then youre in luck!!! Now if you happen to come in and the crowd is light and you sit quietly at the bar you will have a good time. Just dont go expecting to play Metallica on the jukebox or you might get the looks from granny and PawPaw. Oh why did you have to go OLD wooden nickel pub?

Take to long to take orders! This is the 3rd time coming here since they been open each time the service get slower! Set there almost an hour before the server came and took our orders! I understand it was a little busy but one came a check to see if we needed a refill on our tea that we had got! No one came over until I got up to go to the bathroom so I guess they thought I was going to get them

What a joke, heard this place use to be good so l thought I would try it out. Ordered a bowl of soup that cost me almost $4 and what I got was barely enough to fill a coffee cup. Tasted like it came out of a can. Burger was bland and nachos were soggy. Well I guess the key phrase he was "use to be good" maybe but definitely not anymore. How do you screw up bar food?

We have tried it 2x and both times it took forever to get our food & the food wasnt all that great when we got it. We had sandwiches and then second time a salad. the salad is just blah and the sandwiches you can get anywhere or make at home. Fried mushrooms everyone raved about were tasteless. Onion rings they charge 2+$ for were the best thing we tried.

Just moved into town and tried this place..The food was horrible and the GM was very unprofessional and combative about it. Fried mushrooms were still cold inside, roast beef (French dip) was overcooked and looked like pieces of black rubber! Will never return!! Dont waste your money here. 1992 called, it wants its cheap and cheesy atmosphere back!!

We had our SGAA Meet and Greet at the Wooden Nickel... It was great!! Everyone really enjoyed the homemade Sangria... They couldnt get enough... LOL The food and service were outstanding!! Thanks Robyn, the owner, for helping SGAA to have a very successful evening!! We will be back!! Please support our local businesses:)

We have tried this place a couple of times and every time weve been severely disappointed. The food is mediocre at best, but mostly awful. The service is friendly but each time we are unable to finish our meal because we just cant stomach the food.

Great food, great atmosphere. Did not expect to get the best Greek Pizza in town. My date had their nachos, and they have the best nachos too!! Were excited to keep coming back and try everything else on the menu!

We moved to Valdosta a week ago. Had lunch Sunday April 9th. Kerri was our waitress. The food, staff, and atmosphere is excellent! The only fault I find is that its not open late at night.

Been going to the nickel for 38 years. Preferred the original. They apparently changed food vendors when they reopened. It is good but not the same as the original. Service is good.

Uncontrolled kids, Chuck cheese games, food was pathetic. Not worth a visit, not worth opening the menu. Plenty of better resturants that rank above this 1.0 rated dive.

Great pub atmosphere and super pub food. This is a great place to bring friends and make memories. I recommend the Camel Rider sandwich and a helping of fried mushrooms.

Greek salad with gyro meat amazing. Cool place for Friday lunch especially if a cold draft beer is used as a weekend starter. Friendly staff and great service.
