After much consideration and thought on whether to write this review or not I came to the conclusion it served best to give my experience. The one and only reason I am giving 2 stars is because the staff was accommodating and the managers did try to make things right. We dined with them on 3/25/17 and will never return. I have read many reviews via facebook, yelp and google and was discouraged from even trying the food. However, due to a good friends birthday we decided to give it a go. We ordered the deluxe (broiled) seafood platter to split and a grilled chicken salad for my daughter. When we received the food I checked the chicken and allowed my daughter to eat. The chicken was dry and had little flavor. My husband and I then proceeded to eat our own plate (we were sharing because we had a big lunch) Presentation seemed good, although we got a bonus fried okra and fried shrimp thrown on our plate (talk about cross contamination for those with allergies). The plate had either been in a confectioners oven or under the heat lamp too long. Our seafood was hard on top and mushy on the bottom. The stuffed clam was barley lukewarm....scary stuff being the temp of stuffed anything has to brought up to 165 via health department....so either our plate was brought up to temp and sat out to be ran to our table for a while or they are not following the correct guide lines to cook stuffed seafood. There was also a hair in the stuffed crab. That topped off our experience to the point of no return. Also to note some friends of our were asking for to go boxes and while they were putting fried clams, oysters, ect in the box I noticed the grease left on his plate was a dark brown almost to the point of being black...so either the grease is way too hot and burnt or they do not clean the grease nearly enough for the volume they do at this location. Consumer beware they do not have their acts together when comes to food safety and contamination issues!!

WE WONT GO BACK! My family had reserved a room more than 3 weeks in advance because we were having a birthday party the weekend of Mothers Day. All along the way during the weeks prior to the party, we were assured that the room would be ready for our party at 5:00 pm. Silver Bay was told we would be having between 20-25 people. We showed up prior to our reserved time and not only was the room not ready, we were told we couldnt have it. The manager could not have been more unconcerned. His response was basically, "What do you want me to do about it?" The assistant manager even showed her frustration at us when we told her that more chairs were needed. We ended up with 21 people - well within the range of guests that was given. Instead of a nice, pleasant birthday party, we were placed in the middle of a very noisy and busy restaurant. And a table had to be set up for us. There had been no preparation on Silver Bays part for our party despite the fact that our reservation had been made and confirmed. The food was okay and the servers were nice although very slow to take our orders, refill our drinks, etc. But all of that would have seemed minimal if some kind of apology or gesture had been made by the managerial staff. Instead, we were treated rudely and as if we had inconvenienced them in some way. My guess is that Silver Bay collected several hundreds of dollars on our party that night. But I can guarantee theyll never collect another dime from my family again. There are too many restaurants that serve good food and value their customers. You can be assured that our family and friends will not "inconvenience" Silver Bay ever again.

Valentines Day 2016 My Husband and I had not been out to eat in years. Newly Grandparents. Thought this place would be a real treat for us. Although very crowded, it seemed they were working very fast. We saw more than 4 platters of food go back in a period of 20 mins. We saw waitresses yawning as they passed our tables With their eyes closed. Some acted like they were not liking their job today. My husband ordered Fried seafood platter. The platter arrived about 7-8 inches above the plate. It looked like a few leftovers or returns just mounded on top of the plate, and on top of soggy French fries. Even the side order fries were soggy. We both looked at it and lost our appetite sooner than expected. I ordered the broiled delight but got grilled. My shrimp were dry & rubbery. They were not jumbo shrimp as described for this platter. Fish pieces were very small and tasted very much like beach water. I was missing my scallops I ordered as well. It was a bad time/holiday to be training cooks in the kitchen. Our waitress was multitasking but she was very alert and kept moving quickly (impressive) eye contact and smiles got her a 20% tip. Three stars mostly because of waitress, otherwise I give two to be kind about the business overal.

The service here is absolutely, positively HORRIBLE!!! Our waitresses were rude and wore their unwarranted frustrations in their demeanor. Our first waitress had a hard time remembering our order and when we kindly tried to notify her of what she forgot she stormed away and bad mouthed us in earshot distance from our table. The second waitress was nice initially then she started to have an attitude and proceeded to tell us how we should feel and respond. The manager on duty was very hospitable but unfortunately she has a team that includes very incompetent employees who need INTENSE PROFESSIONAL training! The poor customer service made my appetite walk right out the door. As we were departing the first waitress "mean mugged" me. The waitresses sighed, huffed and puffed and it was clear that our waitresses smiles or lack there of was painted on... I will NEVER EVER go there again!!! In addition to this horrid experience the food was blah mediocre! God take the wheel and help those waitresses!!!! The bad experience truly made me feel like I was being "PUNKED"

The waitress was the only decent part of the meal. We ordered the broiled seafood pick any two. It took over 45 minutrs for the food to come out. 1 order was blackened red snapper and jumbo shrimp with salad, and okra. The salad was not fresh, the snapper was over cooked and had no seasoning. 2nd order was broiled red snapper, jumbo shrimp with salad and baked potato. The snapper was over cooked and had no seasoning. The manager was called. She came out apologized and offered to re-cook the fish or we can order something different. The second snapper came out cooked fine but with no seasoning. The manager again apologies and offer to take some off the bill. When the bill come all she took off was $5. Wow, really? What about taking off something for customer not being satisfied with meal nor the whole experience from the visit. All in all this is my second and last time at this restaurant. The food is not seasoned and you dont get your monies worth. NEVER AGAIN!!!!

The food is usually good but not so much on 12/11/16 when my family and I went there to celebrate my mothers 89th birthday. There were shrimp shells in both orders of Shrimp Alfredo that were ordered. The service was poor also. Our party consisted of eight adults and two small children. The food came out in a timely manner but the orders were either incorrect or incomplete. No crackers with the salads for some of us, missing garlic toast from one order, side items missing from other orders, fried instead of broiled meal. Corrections were made once we were able to get the attention of the servers. They only checked back once after the meals were brought out. We had to ask other servers nearby to refill our beverages. Nobody with the staff ever acknowledged my mothers birthday but as we were leaving they did for someone else. Despite poor service, we left 15% tips. Our family enjoyed our time together but Silver Bay Seafood Restaurant had nothing to do with it.
