My shadow will never darken the door of this establishment again. Dont care what the food is like, dont even know what the food is like. Served an okay standard ginger salad. The usual and nothing unusual. The soup was hot, weak in flavor and overdone with shredded onion. After arriving for a reservation on time and being quickly seated, we also waited 10 minutes to see anyone - over 20 some odd minutes to place an order and finally after an hour our chef arrives. But wait our party of six had the extreme misfortune of being seated with a gluten-intolerant party of three. Chef informs us they first as not to contaminate the grill. Sorry this is unacceptable service. We could not wait any longer. Poorly run, poorly managed. REAL SPOILER. They charged us almost $50.00 for what probably amounted to a carton of broth with some meager stuff thrown in it, maybe a head of iceberg lettuce and a few drinks. Unacceptable folks! Not a good way to start an evening.

Worst service Ive ever had. Dont waste your money on this place. Took 15 minutes just to get a server to take out drink order. Thats with us having to get up to ask for a server to get us drinks. Took 40+ minutes until the cook came out. He was the most fabulous part of our experience. Then 10+ mins after we found our own To go boxes and packed up our food the server finally came back and asked us about desert (she only made 1 trip to the table after our drinks were set down during our meal). Never received an apology for our wait our the crappy service and still paid full price for the meal. This place just needs to close its doors already. Seems to be a reaccuring theme.

Weve been coming here for years and feel like its our neighborhood place. Lots of birthdays spent here! Weve had fabulous meals...lots of laughs...lots of fire. If youre looking for some over-the-top, gourmet culinary experience, go someplace in the city. We come here for laughs, great food, and community comraderie. If you come at 7:30 on a Friday night, expect to wait for a table...just like literally everywhere else. Weve never waited longer than 20 minutes to be seated, which seems very reasonable to me. Thanks for always making my family happy, Asahi!!

Pretty horrible service, food and experience overall. Poor communication skills from the host, servers, pretty much anyone working here. Walkin with a reservation and wait...and wait...30 minutes, then you get seated to wait even longer for a server to attend your table. The food is horrible and over priced. Over salted, poor quality. I really hope this place shuts down so we can get something better in its place. Its a shame the people in this area have kept it in business this long. A restaurant like this wouldnt last 3 months inside the perimeter.

Very good place. They were courteous inspite of the fact that we arrived shortly before closing. A little curt but I think thats just their nature. Food was good. The simple rolls are just that. Simple with the rice not heavily flavored and most of the flavor coming from the fish. I had some left over rolls brought home to me a short time after going there myself, and one of them tasted a little fishy. I think just because it was left over from dinner and had sat out during that time. It wasnt bad.

We go whenever we get a little extra money. People go for the hibachi for special occasions, but we go for the amazingly good food. And there is enough for us to take some home so we pretend we are buying 2 dinners :). The filet mignon is a tiny bit more expensive than the other entrees, but so tasty. Though if we could, wed go for the fried rice, soup and salad with ginger dressing. Yumm! Also very friendly service and chefs.Cheaper than the normal hibachi style places, but tastier.

Despite all the negative reviews on here which seem to revolve around the hibachi part of the restaurant, I would highly recommend the sushi area. Ive been going here for close to 8 years now and absolutely love it! The sushi is consistently delicious, served at the right temperature, and fairly priced. They seem to have one of the largest selections of sushi rolls that I have seen and Ive been to many sushi restaurants.

Prices are very high for what you get. We had a to go order for steak and shrimp. The steak was good but nothing special. The shrimp were way over cooked and flavorless. On the way home I realized we were charged an extra $5 for fried rice that we did not order and that we did not receive PLUS another $3.50 for "1 Extra," whatever that means. We will not be going back.

It was k restaurant. There are lot of Japanese restaurant around area that has much better food. Service could improve lot with little effort. Price was very high for such a bland experience. Nothing about this restaurant would make me go back again. $20-25 per plate I expect great service n testy food.

Food was excellent. Service was pretty good too. We had the aloha roll and dragon roll both were great and very fresh. The size was perfect too. Not too big where you full your whole mouth with one portion. The hibachi shrimp and scallops was delicious too! We will definitely be going back.

We had the worst service the other night. Sat at the sushi bar and waited about 15 minutes for anyone to come to the table. The poor service continued the whole time we were there. It has been a while since I have received such bad service.

Aweful yummy yummy sauce, was basically just mayonnaise. Soup was lackluster. Very small portions especially the high price and up charge for fried rice. Food was cooked well and tasted decent though. Overall, better places for he money.

Sushi is awesome! Kevin the sushi chef rules and his assistant Li. The Manager Shu is super nice and the food at the grill is always great! They have early bird specials from 4:30-6:00 so get there early and get a discount on your meal!

Horrible service! We were seated quickly. We left after 20 minutes. Nobody stopped by the table after we were seated. No water. No wait staff. After reading other reviews, it does not appear we missed out.

Good sushi with a wide variety of creative rolls backed by excellent service. The Sushi for Two was very good with enough to feed three people.

Very rude! They saw me and my friend walk in and stand around searching for a host/waitress. No one acknowledged our presence for over 10mins!
