First time experience — The quality of food weighs heavy in my review. I had a craving for some fish tacos, so I order fish & al Pastor tacos. They were both such a terrible let down, which was disappointing since the ratings for the place were 4+ stars. The fish taco was mediocre. And the sautéed peppers it came with paired poorly with the fish and did nothing for the taste. I should know, I was raised on original Baja fish tacos! Plus the tortillas of the tacos were some kind of imposter corn tortillas, nothing relevant to authentic Mexican cuisine corn tortillas. Regarding the al Pastor taco....it was super sweet in taste—need I say more. It tasted like taking a bite out of some sweet, brown sugar syrup, definitely NOTHING to do with traditional al Pastor tacos. The tacos are completely overpriced for such subpar flavor & taste. I must mention, however, the only thing above average (worth 4 stars) was the Horchata beverage. It was delicious! If I ever have an Horchata craving this will definitely be my go to. As far as the service, our waitress was pleasant & friendly. The place looked clean from what I could observe. And the ambiance in the place was pleasing. The food however, nothing worth returning for.

We have been coming to this location since it first opened. Most often, the food and service is spectacular and this has become a restaurant that we frequented often and always brought friends too. However, when they are off it is always very bad. Had one of the worst meals ever, couldnt finish it, and as is typical of this restaurant, they do not care about your ensuring an enjoyable dining experience. A lot of sorry, wish it was better, but no offer to take it off the bill or even a half the amount. Why, restaurants of this type are so quick to nickle and dime you for everything but when the meal is bad they look at you as though you caused the problem and make no effort to make it right. It will be a long time before I come back to Taqueria Lawrenceville and when people ask me about the food, I will share this recent meal experience. Im kind of over Taqueria Lawrenceville because we are having more bad meals than good. Too bad, this was such a great place.

We have been coming here for many years, since they opened. Ive always enjoyed it until the past year or so. Previously people would recognize us and wave and come over to the table to say hi and it was just a fun and friendly place to be. No longer. I dont know if theres been a change of management or what, but for the most part the employees are unfriendly , inattentive and sometimes rude. They act like they could care less if you were there and as if you are an inconvenience. All they do is scowl and never even come back to check. It doesnt matter if its day time, night time, weekday or weekend. Tonight will be our last visit.

I HAVE BEEN TO MANY MEXICAN RESTAURANT WHEN I READ GOOD REVIEW OF THIS RESTAURANT ON GOOGLE I DECIDED TO GO VISIT IT. BUT THIS WAS ONE OF THE MOST AWFUL ONE . MY FAMILY VISITED THIS RESTAURANT TODAY ON OCT 19TH 2014 FOR THE FIRST TIME. EVERY PLACE WE GO WE ASKED THEM TO MAKE FOOD SPICY AND THAT WHAT WE DID AT THIS RESTAURANT. FOOD WAS COLD AND WATERY SECONDLY FOOD WAS NOT FRESH (BUT THEY CLAIM THEY MAKE FRESH) AND NOT SPICY AT ALL AND THEN WHEN WE RECEIVED ARE CHECK THEY HAD CHARGE ME EXTRA TO MAKE IT SPICY. I UNDERSTAND IF I HAD ASKED FOR EXTRA SAUCE ON SIDE. IN SHORT NOT FRESH BUT EXPENSIVE FOOD WITH NO CUSTOMER SERVICE.

There are no signs to sit down or anything so I walked in and asked a waitress if I could sit down anywhere. She had no idea what I said so I spoke to her in Spanish and she seemed equally confused. The manager,I think, came over and said in a haughty voice "No, Ill seat you" and he seemed all angry. Weird. Anyways the food was great. The al pastor taco was delicious. The Cesina taco (which is steak) was delicious but the meat looks lame and bear so I was confused. Great salsa for the chips and overall a good experience. I recommend it.

The service was horrible, they have no one to great you at the door. The menus sucked. They were typed in such a basic format using a program like Word, and to many selections was bunched on the pages of the menu. I had no clue who my server was because 3 different people attended to us through out the whole time. The flavors food was not worth the visit.... Such a shame the reviews do not match the true experience. So, I definitely will not be going back. But hey to each their own. Dont knock it until you try it, I guess.

Ive been eating here ever since this location opened, and previously at their Indian Trail location, with just my boyfriend, with lunch groups, with church group and for take-out. Never had a bad meal or bad service. Weve tried probably everything on the menu and enjoyed it all. Only downside is that it can be loud when full, and many parents decide to ignore their kids running around in favor of downing margaritas. This isnt the restaurants fault, so we just ask for a table away from the chaos.

Today is March 12, 2016. I literally just walked out of this restaurant due to being disregarded for 15 minutes after being sat down. The restaurant was nowhere near as busy as Ive seen before. A young lady brings us chips and salsa and says absolutely nothing! 15 mins later, my girlfriend finally tracks down the manager and explains that people were passing by us not to mention making eye contact. His response was "Yes, Ill help you now.." "No thanks." We kindly got up and walked away...

I really like this restaurant. My family has been going to all locations for years. My favorite plate is the pechuga de pollo. Horchata is also very good and tastes authentic. Only thing I dont like is they keep it kind of dark in there and Im one of those people who likes a lot of light. Also there are no booths. Overall I really like this place and would recommend it to anyone. Its very good food and a pretty and clean environment

I was Very disappointed with both the steak and chicken Quesadillas. There was hardly any cheese on them. No sour cream and overly crusty/stale bread. Its pretty sad when the Taco Bell across the street does a better job of serving Mexican food that this so called authentic Mexican restaurant. If you want a more satisfying quessadilla experience, go to the Taco Bell across the street. You wont regret it. Its both cheaper and better.

The food is absolutely delicious. I wish I could eat here more often, to be honest, because their food is just that good. However, the service is fairly slow, especially at lunch time because they get absolutely packed. I cant say that Ive ever had a bad experience here thankfully, unless you count the slow service. Pros: - delicious food - fairly inexpensive Cons: - slow service
