Lets say the service was good for the first 3-4 years Ive been going there , the service they had before were polite , accommodating and you know not garbage , the last 2 times I went for a pick up order .... Ive paid $50.00$ for my self and family , and each of those two times most of our orders were received with little to almost about one or two scoops of rice ... That being said you mean to tell me I paid 17$ for a slice of salmon only if I am getting two bites of rice ? But this last time I went back and asked for a refund ... Not trying to make a deal out of it the lady asked why I proceeded with oh weve been serving the rice this way all the time , again I started this review with for the last 3-4 years Ive enjoyed the food so to tell me I just want to complain at your portions now ? If anything I always enjoyed the food and I wouldnt want to remove this place as an option . But I was given two options accept two more orders of rice or get the refund .... My family enjoys the food here so why not , you know . Fine got the two extra orders to make up for the lack of .... But when I got it I had to laugh they skimped out on the "extra rice" what seem to me out of pettiness ... Thank you and thank you for taking advantage of management not being there .

We ordered pickup on Christmas Eve Thursday night. I dropped my husband off at entrance and I waited in the car. When he came out I told him to check the order since we have had several instances where we we shorted items. Our large order of cheese dip was not in the bag and there was only a small bag of chips. He went back in to ask about it and several minutes later he came out asking for the bag. Evidently the hostess (Carmita or Carmilla?) didnt believe him and made a comment to my husband that she filled the bag and remembered putting the cheese dip in it. Basically she was calling him a Liar!! The manager was also present during this process. They gave him our large order of cheese dip along with the salsa (which I completed overlooked as missing) and also gave us the right size bag of chips. I find the service we received totally unprofessional. If it hadnt being pouring I told my husband he should have told her to come out and search our car for the cheese dip!!! We have been going to this ovation for years and I am not sure I ever want to give them our business again.

The food at Frontera was pretty cool--very flavorful and tender. On this outing, I choose Fronteras Tacos al Pastor which were LOVELY! My company chose Chicken Quesadillas which I never get because quesadillas are BORING!!! Would I go to Frontera again? They serve Margaritas, dont they?!! Margaritas are pretty much the strongest drink I can get and still be considered a "girl", so... Im a fan!!! I LOVE my margaritas frozen. They seem stronger to me. #ShSpeaksSHRUG Would I go to Frontera again, same day and location? YES! This particular Frontera location is not central NOR is is the closest option to me. WHY I actually agreed to this location is a mystery to me and anybody reading this post. Would I recommend Frontera to others? Yup! Its Mexican. Its good. Enough said. OVERALL REVIEW: It was cool. Visited my parents in Lawrenceville on my most recent vacation and had the opportunity to visit Frontera Mex-Grill in Five Forks Trickum Road and just have say one word to describe the service of the staff and the food "EXELLENT"... Stephanie Nunez was our waitress, since the moment she gretted us I knew it was going to be a great experience, always smiling and didnt have to wait long on a very busy Saturday night. We asked for a table for four and that was fun from the beginning until the end, Food was extraordinary and the service was always there, Stephanie was courteous and attentive, every single little detail was taken care of by her and will defenetly come in the future. Everybody was great. I even met the chef that cooked out food, if you go there Make sure U ask for Stephanie and expect the best of the best...

I have always loved this location, quick service, good price, but today I had an encounter that was unforgivable. I placed a small $10 meal order to go on the phone and arrived shortly after to pick it up. I paid with my debit card and Jose the manager held my card back on the table, so I signed the check and tipped. Then Jose the manager(according to his name tag) took the receipt and card and put my card in his apron and started to head to the kitchen. I immediately stopped him and a woman employee got his attention, so I got my card back. I dont know where it wouldve gone if I hadnt stopped him while he was still in my eye sight. I cant come here ever again. I hope my food was not tampered with; I received it after this incident occurred.

I called in for my order they told me 15 minutes came there it was more than an hour for food plus they tried to steal money my order was $32 and he tried to steal three dollars I was trying to talk to the manager he was giving me no answer plus food was not cooked I would understand if the restaurant was full but they had only two tables each table had a couple people manager went to check on the food and never came back even to apologize never go back to eat there again. To top all this I came home and one of my orders/meal was missing

My family and i come here every week for a special treat for our son who loves the food at Frontera. We are always welcomed with smiles and seated immediately. The food is great, drinks cold and service fast and on point. They always get our orders right even though my son is a little picky :) Cheese dip (no jalapeños), hot dog and fries (no bun) and free ice cream (no whip cream). Highly recommended...especially if you want a place that will entertain a toddler from start to finish.

After years of eating at any of this chains restaurants with both good food and service, this particular Lawrenceville location has gone down the tubes - the service sucks, and the food mediocre. We have had our debit card double charged, waiters who cannot get the food order right, or even no salt on the margarita glass correct. Repeated reports to management have failed to rectify the situation, so absolutely no more visits to this location, ever!

Worst dining experience by far. I understand that its Cinco de Mayo, but waited over an hour and a half while watching the hostess give tables to late arriving friends. Wife asked for one of the give away tee shirts and was told they were for boys. Drink order, wrong; food order, wrong; and now were being rushed to leave.

Frontera is like an intro course to Mexican. The food is okay and will do the trick, but its not authentic. During the lunch hours, its pretty quiet here, but on the weekends, its a packed house. Parking can be tight at times. The service is pretty decent. I havent had any issues with that aspect.
