This restaurant, at the time of this review, was brand new. Summary: Food was mediocre; Floor was dirty; Service was nice but not knowledgeable. Overall, Persis needs better management. Food: The food was little more than mediocre. Some elements were outright undercooked, and the temperature tended to be lukewarm. This could be a one time issue though. Taste was decent though. Property: The restaurant itself was very small. Almost the whole restaurant was a hospital white, save one rock wall. The floor was dirty, with spots of grime and fallen items, a result of poor management. The tables failed to impress. They were completely white and lacked tablecloth, causing any dropped food to be very noticeable. However, this might change soon, considering this place is new. The chairs are also white and hard, comfort completely out of the picture, unless you sit on a sofa. Service: The waiter was nice. The server was nice. The manager was nice. The best part of the restaurant was probably the service. The staff were extremely patient and friendly. There was an issue though where the waiter did not know the menu, a result of lack of management. This is not the waiters fault, however the waiter handled the situation extremely well. The manager did not explain any items in a way people would understand or remember. Overall, the thing this place needs most is better management.

Cant believe some of the reviews on here. This is the best Indian Restaurant in this area bar none. No overdose of cream. Reminded me of home cooked meals all the time. Service was excellent. The owner stopped by and talked to us, explained how they are trying different menus for lunch and dinner everyday to see what sticks with customers. Every single dish ive tried Paneer 65, Gobhi 65, Paneer Tikka Masala, Veg Kurma, Gobi Manchurian... all hit the ball out of the park. The Biriyani is out of this worls. Naans are almost perfect. My colleagues who are of non-Indian origin want to go there all the time. I never write reviews for anything but this place has far exceeded my expectations. If they are charging higher prices for better quality then so be it! Just hope they have enough customers to keep this place around (and not move to Cincy or something).

I am big time Biryani lover, Honestly, i have been to this restaurant since its start from last year the quality has been improved significantly, i come by at least once every week or at least 2 to 3 times a month. My first goto is chicken Biryani initially the quality was average to poor even till the end of last year not going to lie but these days they have changed totally and i am enjoying their fresh biryani served with good quality since past few months, i have tried their new items such as pepper goat fry taste wise its good but too oily. I must say Biryani is their top notch in Dayton. I hope you maintain the same and will not compromise in quality. As long as you maintain quality & increase quantity i dont care about the cost. 4 stars for quality but still need to be make a perfect Chicken Dum biryani waiting for that. All the best!!!

Went in for Lunch and was handed a Dinner Menu. I asked for a lunch menu and they spent 10 minutes looking for it. I ordered the Lunch Butter chicken Spicy, mango lassi, and a Veg Pakora. I was Brought my lunch portions which was good. The gentleman next to me Ordered the dinner portion because he did not know they had a lunch menu. I took not of the size difference and defiantly got the Lunch portion. But the bill came and I was Charged for the Dinner Prices. $23 lunch is unacceptable. I complained that If I ate lunch portions the prices should reflect that. They said No so I paid my bill and will never go back. Terrible way to treat people.

At first when I walked into this place, looking at the ambiance of the place, it looked to me like they were another indian restaurant that was trying to cater to the local clientele. But, boy was I surprised when I ate the food....it was better than some Indian restaurants in India itself. Their dum biryanis are the best in this area. Dum-ka-Murgh (a spicy chicken curry), Chicken 65 are my favs. I love their lunch specials. I guess Id be OK if they charged me another buck or two extra and gave me an option to upgrade the 2 TSP soup they give with it to maybe a cup or bowl...LOL.

Everyones food was very good but the service was disappointing. We came on a Friday night with 4 adults, 1 child, and 1 infant. Menu has no descriptions and is completely different than the website. We asked about the menu items and were given very little description. Automatic 20% tip was added to the bill - this was not indicated on the menu or when handed the bill. The way it was listed on the check it could have been totally missed. Also when we got home, we noticed tax was calculated including the tip amount. We will probably not go back for dine-in, maybe for carry-out.

Thr quality was good only for the first week of restaurant and after that it tanked.....rates are very high compared to other restaurants in the area, the quantity is half and quality sucks....if u ate taking Togo they charge very high price and quantity is like they are giving u appetizer......its not worth the money.... Most importantly owner doesnt even care for Indian ethnicity customers....he only talks to people of non Indian ethnicity.....I observed this multiple times....

Been here twice on an extended stay for work. The prices are right go me, based on the prices I see at home in Atlanta. Food has always come out quickly. Ginger chicken was on point, garlic chicken was on point, bone-in chicken biryani was awesome, butter chicken was great, naan was soft and chewy yet crunchy. The only thing that didnt really impress was the khadi (spelling?) chicken. Id come back. Only advice Id give is to play some music; its awkwardly quiet in here!

I have tried this place multiple times and I must say it has the best biriyani in the area. I love their biriyani and do have generous portions to most of the time. Their lunch menu is also pretty reasonable but nothing to get exited about, just normal indian food. The only reason i gave 3 stars is because of the wait time. I usually call ahead and go but i have had experiences where even after 40 min the biriyani was not ready for pickup a couple of times.

They started couple of years back the quality of the food was good initially and then it has been going bad consistently. I thought they are good for Biryani, but recently that has also gone down. Had many many bad experiences with all our orders be it in restaurant or carry out. The cook himself told us once that they cook fresh food only on tuesdays and then use it all week. So that tells how bad quality they serve. I would never recommend.

The best Indian restaurant in the Dayton area! Wonderful, classy ambience, and their food is scrumptious to say the least! I first tried their food at the Dayton World Afair and couldnt get enough! Great vegetarian selection too! I think Im going to try everything on their menu! They got my order a little wrong and forg my drinks, but they were more than happy to fix it! Good enough customer service for me!
