Ive lived in metro Atlanta over 45 years, and Athens Pizza has been my go-to spot for Greek food and Greek-style pizza. My wife is especially crazy about their Greek salads, and Im really fond of their gyro plate, with Greek salad and home fries. They bake their own baklava (at least I think they still do -- Im positive they certainly did when I first started eating their in 1968, because I watched it being prepared from scratch). This is something I really LOVE, and theirs is the best Ive ever had! All the dishes that Ive tried have been very good to superior, and the prices are quite reasonable for the quality of the food. Service is most often very friendly, but often slows considerably during their busiest hours. The one negative Ive noted: this is generally not a good spot for a quiet, intimate dinner for two. The noise level can interfere with conversation, causing people to raise their voices so they can be heard above the background noise. This, of course, just adds to the noise, and when the place is packed, the process feeds on itself. My wife and I prefer take-out service during their busiest hours, and the food makes take-out service more than worthwhile.

I usually have no interest writing reviews, but this place was so bad I felt it was my duty to warn others. Honestly, its terrible. I gave it a try because it had a high review rating, but I am very disappointed I did. The food is below average. I ordered a pizza, meatballs and fries. The fries were so soggy, I had to reheated them in the oven. The meatballs were about the size of a quarter and there were only four of them. The pizza, well I guess that was the highlight of the dinner. It tasted about the equivalent of a frozen pizza. The worst part of this sleazy place is that the online menu doesnt match up with the actual price you pay. They charged me five dollars more than what was online. When I told them this the man said in a rude manner that the menu was four years old. As if I could have possibly known that. There wasnt even a hint of an apology or offer for a discount. I figured Im never coming back here again, so who cares about being five bucks overpriced. Do yourself a favor and dont be fooled by the high rating This place SUCKS.

I do not want to add to the negative posts I see regarding this spot. I know it is not on the level of one of your 5-star restaurants that I prefer to eat in, but I MUST say their food is impeccable. Gyros - taste just like the ones I have had in corfu, Greece. Perfect. Salads? Oh, sooo fresh, so good! Pizza - very fresh and tasty. And the Veggie Lasagne! What? I never thought lasagne could be that good. I would highly recommend it - very reasonable prices, great food - you cant beat it for authenticity and price. Go for it. You can thank me later. In fact, I am going to have the wife bring home some tonight, while she is in the area.

Athens Pizza is absolutely amazing. Authentic Greek food and definitely in my top 5 favorite restaurants. Ive never had the pizza, but the gyro wraps are to die for! The fried calamari is the best that Ive ever had and the Athens potatoes are delicious as well. As is that wasnt enough, the deserts are great too! The strawberry chocolate mousse cake is perhaps the best cake that Ive ever had and came out in a huge slice! Ive probably been to Athens Pizza about 10 times, and only once was the food not good. However, the restaurant was very busy, so Im sure that was largely the reason. This place is a gem though!

Ordered a Greek salad for pick up. Was shocked at how small the container was. Not an $8(+tax) salad. I even asked the guy ringing me up if this was the proper size, and he confirmed it was. This is $5 maybe $6 amount of food. When you order an entree salad you expect something more than a side salad. This was my first time trying Athens, not sure if Ill return if this is a representation of the quality you get for your money.

After a school trip with 90+ 1st - 5th graders, other parent chaperones, and the chorus director, I have nothing but positive feedback. Everyone was REALLY hungry, and the restaurant was ready for us! The pizzas kept coming until we were heading out of the door, and most of the kids got seconds, and could have had thirds. The pizza is DELICIOUS, Id recommend Athens Pizza to anyone who wants fantastic pizza and excellent service!

Quick question... Is this heaven? In my opinion, thats a yes. I have never tasted such amazing pizza in my life! Service is more friendly than most other resteraunts, and I mean that! If you love Greek food, this is surely for you! Setting is nice and quiet and it feels like you are surely experiencing the culture. Here is my overall rating. Service: 5/5. Food: 5/5. Environment: 5/5. Overall rating: 5/5.

Family orientated and very welcoming! Our server was great and very nice. But honestly, Ive had a better gyro. Still worth five stars though because it wasnt as greasy. My boyfriend got a pizza and couldnt eat it all. The pizza is thick and delicious, Not too doughy. I really like the atmosphere and the fact that real Greek people work here & Theres family pictures on the wall right when you walk in.

Food was yummy, but we were the only customers in the place at 4:45 on a Wednesday. Took 10 minutes for a server to greet us at our table even though there was at least 10 people working. She stopped once and never came back to check on drinks or food. Quite disappointing. I understand sliw service when a place is slammed, but this was unacceptable. Not going back even if the food was good.

Athens pizza has great pizza (and great everything else)! The staff is always very nice and accomodating! They are amazing at accomodating large groups. Their Greek salads are so good! And I literally live for the tzaziki and Greek potatoes! If you havent been you must go for a casual dinner and check out the special of the day! Its always busy at lunch and dinner so try to come early!

I have lived in this area a few years and I can always count on Athens pizza for great takeout. In particular I always order a gyro feta pizza with extra sauce (their sauce is amazing) cooked crispy. Ive worked at pizza restaurants for years and I can tell you this is the best pizza Ive ever had, and at a reasonable price. Maybe theres better pizza in Atlanta, but I just dont care.

Ive yet to eat the actual pizza here but love the Greek food. Best greek salad Ive had in Atlanta and adding the chicken to it is a fantastic meal (double chicken if youre really hungry mmm). Good portions for the money and a good place for families. Its not fancy but its large so it can accommodate a lot of people at a time, meaning Ive rarely (ever?) had to wait for a table.

Quick and efficient for my takeout order. It was done within 15 minutes. However, the garlic bread wasnt that good, the crust was dry on the Athens special pizza I got, and the baklava was melded together and chewy, not crispy and dripping with honey and spices as it should be. It couldve been worse, but it couldve been better.
