This place is located in a shopping plaza called the Avalon. It is a really nice area to walk around and shop it. The pizza shop only adds to the the plaza. The place It isnt very big but it is really nice. You can see them whole process as they make your pizza so no need to worry. I was impressed with how clean the place was. When I think pizza joint I dont think nice and clean. The food The pizza was stellar we ordered two pies everything we had was so fresh. They brought them out freshly made and hot! We had the San Gennaro and the Margherita both were high quality. I dont think you would ever have to worry about the quality of anything at Antico. The staff I only really talked to the guy who took our order but he was very patience. Sometimes when you go to places were you order at the counter you get the stare that says "hurry up moron." Not here he was really helpful being our first time. He gave us some suggestions which I always appreciate at new places. The verdict I love the place I cant wait go back here when I am in the area. As someone who values quality ingredients in my food this only adds to the fact it tasted amazing. Places like this dont give you that sick full feeling because of all the crap some places put in your food. Bonus They have a coffee/desert place attached which only makes this place more amazing. I had a croissant and a latte both of which were REALLY GOOD!!!! They use Illy coffee which is you didnt already know is amazing!

Quite probably the best pizza available outside of New York City. Everything in the place is shipped in from Italy. Including the beer, unfortunately. The establishment has one (1)! beer on the menu, and that number is matched in the service: You can get only Pieroni Beer here. In my quite respected opinion -- I was a home brewer for many years -- Pieroni is. . . meh, to be kind. Now, I would think that a pizzeria that is even slightly interested in being prepared to satisfy the myriad of varying tastes and desires (especially when the subject is beer) would have, in addition to a single Italian label, at least one locally brewed label, like, say, Sweetwater. Excellent quality; marvelous taste, and made just down the highway in Atlanta. In fact, not too far from Antico Pizza #1. We love having real. authentically conceived, prepared, and served pizza from Italy. How about one (1) beer from Georgia!

Nice place, clean and fast to get the order when is not on rush hour. I have to say they deserve the 3 stars, as Im dissapointed with my pizza. I ordered a Margherita Pizza, which only has 4 ingredients/toppings.. tomatoe sauce, bufala cheese, basil and garlic. My pizza had a very sparse amount of ingredients, so for me not worth the $20 plus tip. Dough is extremely thin and soggy in the center, they need to train their employees to prepare them accordingly. I had to get up to ask for basil ( which is the 3rd main ingredient). Half my pizza slices had no basil at all, and the ones that had was a small torned piece of a basil leaf, despite they had a full jar of big basil fresh beautiful leaves by the prep table. Most likely will not order the same pizza again, and will give it another try at another time.

I would rate the Atlanta location 5 stars. The pizza is very good! The staff here though is on another level. We came in at 8:30, so I understand its near closing but the way my family got treated was inexcusable. While we were deciding our pizza the girl at the register made it very apperent that she was trying to rush us with her body gestures. When we asked a question we got a one word answer. When we ordered they did not offer carry out so we stayed. When they were busting the xresturaunt not one employee even looked at us but instead made high school noises of annoyance. They turned off the lights on us before handing us a Togo box! I understand

Good, not great pizza - With people going crazy about Antico opening in Alpahretta, this must have meant this was some awesome pizza. I find it to be mediocre. Im not a huge fan of pizza cooked at super high temps for a short period of time. The crust gets charred on the outside, and is borderline uncooked on the inside. Also, with dozens of other pizza places right around the corner, you cant be so rigid in not allowing modifications to any of your pizzas. Im glad I went to see what the hype was about, but have no desire to return. Id rather go to Fellinis, or Mellow Mushroom.

Best pizza ever. Bar none, by far. Ive tried them all in and around Atlanta, spent 2 weeks in Italy trying them all as well and its not even a close contest. Mr. DiPalma does one thing and does it well and that is making authentic napoletana pizza. Ovens - from Italy, ingredients - from Italy, you name it, its the best of the best. Perfect place to take your out of town guests. My family and I have been loyal fans for years. Our kids wont even eat delivery pizza, only Anticos. Good thing the Avalon location is close to the house. Bravo Antico, keep up the outstanding work.

Good Italian style pizza thats one of the best in Atlanta. The only drawbacks are 1.) Seating can be a bear, especially if your with family and kids or a large group. This place stays packed and seating is tight. 2.)ALMOST A DEAL BREAKER! Choices, this place will NOT substitute ANY of the ingredients on the Pizza. This can be a deal breaker and really a bad business decision IMHO. Pretty Sad !!! The pizza is good but when your business model takes away choices that are pretty standard across ALL Restaurants businesses than that a bad sign with the owner!

I would Ike to comment to Benards comment, that was all negative. Im from Jersey, and also am biased toward real pizza, however I encourage you to give Antico another try. There are different styles of food from different regions & areas. Antico has there own style, Ive been to the one on Hemphill numerous times and have always loved what Ive had. Possibly try to order something different or make sure you know what your getting. These people definitely know food, flavors & Italian cuisine.

The pizza is a little different but its always good to try something new. I been quite a few times and I love the pizza and every time I go I end up liking it more and more. The restaurant has many seats and it is easy to get a table unless it is extremely crowded. The customer service is great!!! Anticos cooks the pizza very quick and you dont have to wait a long time. The restaurant is nice inside and very clean. I would definitely recommend Anticos.

This one of my favorite pizza places. From my experiences, time spent in Naples, they make an authentic Neapolitan pie. The Lasagna is our favorite. Fifth star is lost because this place can get EPICALLY busy! They get really packed but do a relatively good job moving people. Fifth star is also lost because of cost, although the food is really good, it is also very expensive.
