We come all the way from Buford to eat here regularly for the last 2 years. This is, in my opinion, one of the best Mexican restaurants around. The grilled chicken in ANY dish (fajitas, California burrito, quesadilla, taco loco, you name it) is particularly outstanding. My wife loves the tacos carnitas (previously would only ever get their beef tacos because she liked them so much she wouldnt try anything else) but the tacos el jinete are my sons newfound favorite. I really have never had a poor meal in this place! I seldom give 5 stars but these guys deserve every one! I just wish theyd open a location on our side of I85!

My wife and I have gone to this location at least 5 times. The food the last 2 times feels like we are eating out of a can. The guacamole, the salsa, the chicken. Nothing is homeade. To make matters worse, we went on Saturday for my wifes 50th birthday. I asked if they would bring a desert.(no matter the cost as a surprise). I waited and NOTHING... Thank you MANAGER for the GREAT BIRTHDAY DESERT (THAT"S SARCASM). So if you want processed food out of a can that has so much salt you will need about a gallon of water to get re-hydrated BY ALL MEANS eat at El Jinente...

Took a long time to get our debit card back from our waiter and 4 days later we had fraud on our account. This was the last place we used it. This was only the 2nd time we ate there. 1st time was right after they opened and it was a bad experience. We decided to give them a 2nd chance. Needless to say, wont be going back. Pay in cash if you go.

Great food and staff! Mexican Music is always a bit loud. Also, there is this cook in the back whenever a plate is up, he whistles really loud over and over again. I love the food and very friendly and efficient staff, but overall the place is unnecessarily loud.

Got food very sick. Flies flying around should have been a clue. My 12 year old was didnt even make it home before throwing up. Should have read reviews before we went. Will not go back.

Service is usually a hit or miss. Food same way. Variety to pick from but sometimes it will make you sick sometimes it doesnt. Cheese dip is pretty good. Better than most around.
