Wanted to love this place, but both experiences were terrible. Right after our baby was born, this was the first place we "went out" to, which was right when it opened. We dined in and not only was the wait for the food overextended (over 20 minutes), but we had to continuously check in with the staff for progress and had to go back to the counter to pick up the food. Once we had our meals, we found the entrees to be subpar and the the rice was cold and crunchy - awful!!!! My husband tried to give them a bit of grace since we went in about an hour before close, but being a brand new restaurant I would think you would work diligently for every meal, no matter the time!, to be prepared adequately! Flash forward 7 months and my co-workers pressured me to try it out again. Sure, why not? We looked at the menu online, made a quick list, and went through the drive-through. Now, the online menu describes the Citrus Salad as "Crispy Romaine lettuce topped with our signature flame-grilled citrus chicken, orange wedges, vine ripe tomatoes and almond slices. Mango Poppy seed dressing on the side." After specifically asking about the dressing, the employee at the window said all they had was a tomato balsamic. I said that was fine. I get back to work - its the wrong salad with lettuce, shaved carrots, tomatoes and chicken with NO dressing, and the "8 inch" quesadilla wrap that was maybe the size of a fat highlighter with more tomatoes than chicken. The salad eater claims the chicken was okay, but I couldnt even taste it over the onslaught of tomatoes. At least the rice was better this go-round, albeit cold and the warp was not much better temperature-wise. In the end, Im not sure if I wished I had checked the bag or the reviews before trying it out for a second wasted experience!!!

I would not recommend this location, drive to the Duluth location instead. Myself, my fiance, and his family were all very excited for this location to open. Driving through 316 to get Pollo Tropical was not ideal, but now this was a perfect location for us. I wish I could still say we are excited. Every single order we have placed has been wrong. Usually, it was like two orders of yuca instead of plantains. Whatever, they are from Miami and will eat both. We on;y had to go back when they forgot a whole chicken...however they did that. However, tonight was the final straw, soley based on their attitudes. My father in law went in for 5 entrees of pork on his way home from work. It wasnt until he got home that he noticed that it was 5 things of yuca. Not sure how they messed up yuca and pork. I drove back with him and the cashier, Breanna, claimed it was his mistake "But they would fix it" with a what do I care hand gesture. The lady in the blue shirt came over named, Morgan/Megan, I dont know because she never said hello, no Im sorry, no How are you guys tonight, nothing. She did say "This shows the return to your card, for 5 pork entrees it will be $30.**" And that was it. And to top it all off, the small paper bag she shoved 5 containers of pork into, broke as soon as I stepped out of the car. I know they have plastic bags because the yuca came in one!!!! No thanks, from now on, we will just drive to Duluth. I recommend the food, except for the rice, but this particular location? Not if you want the right order. Drive a little bit farther to have better service and your order correct.

Tonight was our first night going to pollo tropical. We have never been to any of the other locations so our experience is only based on our experience here. First the food is amazing. The sauces are outstanding and the combination is so great. We ordered the rice bowl things and we both really enjoyed them. Our son got a kids meal and the fries were cold and chewy but... He didnt seem to mind... But hes two. They lose one star for being kind of messy. The floors needed a good sweeping for sure. The other is for semi crappy service. I work in food service so I get it some days are hard but it seemed like almost everyone working wanted to die. They all looked bored and disinterested. I do have to say the girl that rang us up was patient with us as we stumbled through our order. We will definitely try it again. The food is good enough to ignore the rest.

My wife and I were really excited to try a new place around the mall. That was until we got inside. I ordered the Mojo Pork Platter and they were out. I was going to order the ribs and the cashier said do not get them because they had been sitting out all day... I thought ordering the chicken at a place with pollo in the name would be a safe bet. We paid for the food and 2 minutes later the cashier came by and said they were out of chicken for the next 20 minutes @ 8:30 on Saturday night. If this is how the place runs on a Saturday within weeks of opening, its only a matter of time before its closed. I really wanted to like this place.

The manage team needs to be reevaluated. Perhaps lack of training or education within. I waited 20 minutes to get my food to realize my order wasnt complete. The young lady at the register partially entered my order. So when I advised, instead of her telling the cooks to build the rest of my order, she took everyone elses order in line further delaying the resolution. By the time I did get my food the fries were cold and hard. I could go on about the lady managing 12/10/16 very rude.... Bottom line, the customer service at the Buford location is horrible. I should of just went to Chick Fa La. Im sure I would of been satisfied.

The first time we came here, food and service was great. The second time was not, table dirty, food all over the floor and bathroom worse. This is our third time the only good thing in this place is the food. Recommendation go to another place, the only person who work is the GM, employee dont care about the customer, table and floor dirty with food and nobody do nothing to fix it. At the time of my order their was not chicken I have to wait 20 min to eat any the store did have only 4 family earthing no excuse for the waiting time. I am done with this place.

This is probably my daughters favorite restaurant and it wins major points with me for being both very child friendly and very open with its calorie counts. The staff are exceptionally friendly and the service is very quick. As for the food, I am not a chicken fan (which makes my daughters love of here unfortunate) but I have something on the menu I really like - the Chicken Caesar wrap with balsamic tomatoes on the side. Really tasty in spite of being very healthy.
