Just left this place and it will be my very last time. I lost my entire appitite dining at this place. I didnt eat a single thing and got it to go after it sat there for 20 minutes in my face. This is why: Your "Staff" isnt too great at that thing called customer service. If they were they would have asked the couple screaming and cussing about their relationship problems in the middle of a nearly full room while everyone was trying to eat to quiet down or leave! Every last waiter walked right on by them like they couldnt hear them! It was REDICULOUS! They sat right in front of us with all of the noise and was so loud they gave me a HEADACHE before my food came out. I went to the bathroom due to the nausea that was following the headache and not even 1 minute later some is pulling on the locked door to enter. I say "Im almost finished" and this person waits a few seconds and does the same thing even harder frightening me to the point where I screamed "Someone Is In Here!" The response I get? "Well speak the F*** up then, damn" I then hear someone talking and laughing with the waiting person and the waiting person replies with "No, she has a baby ass voice" a few seconds later I open the door to leave. Come to find out its SECURITY that is pushing herself into the bathroom after me. No eye contact, no apology for the way she was talking to me, nothing. I get back to my seat and ask my boyfriend who the security guard was talking to when I was in the bathroom since he was facing that way the whole time a little ways away and he says it was a WAITER. Were not in an empty room, obviously a PAYING CUSTOMER is in this LOCKED WOMANS bathroom so why would you security pull on the door so hard I thought you were going to break it? Waiter why did you just let her do that and laugh instead? Did I mention when I got back to my seat that couple was even louder and even more people are quietly watching and shaking their heads but NO ONE still hasnt said anything to them!? Where was management? Idk, but there were 4-6 servers that I repeatedly watched, heard and served the screaming couple and they too were silent. I had enough. Obviously this is normal here at metro diner and they made it VERY hard for me to EAT my food. I ended up paying $35 including a TIP for my uneaten food and half of my boyfriends food. They gladly gave me to go containers but not one asked why we didnt touch MAJORITY of the food. Just TERRIBLE.

I live in VA and recently visited ATL for my husband, brother and father in law to go to the race. my other family came from Michigan and Savannah. we all stayed at a hotel down the street and were looking for somewhere within walking distance to eat breakfast that first morning. so we came up to metro cafe and they served breakfast so thats where we went. so with all of my family there it was a total of 10 of us. and 4 of them are children from ages 1-9. so we had 2 strollers. There are ONLY stairs to get to the seats, no elevator no ramp, nothing, so we had to carry the girls and the heavy strollers up 3 flights of stairs, when we told them it was 10 of us they were like 10 omg acting. they were not busy at all there was PLENTY of seats and tables, so for them to fuss about it being 10 people was stupid. all of my family has not seen each other in probably almost a year so we all wanted to spend time together they sat us at 2 seperate tables so that was not fun, then while they were seating us the lady kept huffin and puffin like it was a problem for us to be there so i asked her was it ok that we ate there did we need to leave and find somewhere else, and she snapped back no your fine. not oh no im sorry its been busy or im not having a good day or something in her defense no just plain rude! so at that point i really didnt feel like stayin there but like i said there was 10 of us so i stayed put. so all of the wait staff is standing there starring at us like theyve never seen that many people in their life all together and the girls were laughing and pointing until we would look at them which was very unprofessional and rude. the only good part of the trip was we got the only nice waitress there. the food was ok, not bad but not the best. prices were reasonable.id just hate if i was handicapped and couldnt come there, that is prejuidice to me. i think every place should be handicapped accessible. if i ever go back to atlanta i dont think ill go back there again unless i have to. but if you go to atl definately go to Durango steak house it is excellent!!!!!!!! and hardrock was good and the waitstaff there is awesome!!!

Upon arriving I could hear karaoke and music from the street, I thought OMG this is going to be fun. I decided to be seated instead of going to the bar. I stood at the podium for 10 minutes, strike one, before finally stopping the host. I asked him if I am to seat myself since no one had greeted me or told me they would be right with me. With an attitude, he then replied he is very busy, that he is not seating anyone at the moment, and I would need to wait. Strike two. I then went on to say well sir you could have at least greeted me to let me know what was going on instead just ignoring me and walking over me. He said Im sorry I will take care of you personally. Five minutes later, a couple who came in behind me began to complain because they had been overlooked as well. He then went on to tell them go to the gentleman at the next podium. Of course this upset me, because hello I had been waiting! I asked the first person I saw that worked there, where is the manager. He told me he was a manager, I explained what happened and the horrible customer service. He seated me, gave me a menu, and apologized. So I then waited for another 10 minutes before a waitress came over. Strike three. By this time I knew what I wanted and gave her my drink and food order. My food came literally 6 to 7 minutes later. I had no drink or the syrup needed for my waffle, before I could ask the guy for anything he was gone. By the time my waitress was spotted which was 10 minutes later, I asked for water or something and told her my drink never came. It never came because she never put it in. When she gave me the syrup my waffle was cold.I drove over 40 minutes to check this place out. I would never suggest anyone to come here. The karaoke was great and the drink was awesome, food was mediocre. My experience was so bad I wrote this while still sitting in the restaurant.

KARAOKE PEOPLE BEWARE! The first time I called ahead and asked what their times were and the manager said 3. Got there 5 min before midnight and they were closing it down and we were the ONLY ones there. Tried again a week later, called ahead again, the manager said it closed at 3 again, he dont even know his own hours. Got there and there were 5 other people there. Went to put in a song and the karaoke host questioned me if i was 21 and going to order drinks. *WTF?* I say yes, put my song in and go order a well rum&coke that cost me $7.50! Go up to sing and in the middle of singing "U got it bad" he yells at me not to swear. Then after Im done says I was the second singer of the entire night and it was already 10:30. I received 2 compliments on my song and had people singing along. He was playing country so I put in a country song. Right before he goes to start it he asks if its a slow song. I say yes and he tells me slow songs and ballads arent allowed here. I just sang a pop ballad that went over very well and was the ONLY SINGER THERE and he tells me I cant sing 3/4s of my songs. I go talk to the manager who tells me he hates karaoke and that those songs arent allowed because they are depressing. Ive karaoked in at least 50 bars all over the country and never once had people complain. The owner apparently wont allow them to be sung and wonders why the bar is always empty and no one sings. Whats more depressing, a slow ballad that everyone knows and loves or an empty bar with over priced booze with no singing? Host was rude, manager was beyond rude, owner is an idiot, and the place is dead and you cant sing half of all genres of music.
