I really dont want to give a star, because honestly I dont know which one to give- I will give 2 since I did not express my disappointment with my food and ate it anyway. I am sitting at work 3 days after my visit reflecting on my experience. I have been going to Grant Central East for well over 10 years and my pizza is always been on point; it is (was) my favor pizza joint in town, but I was highly disappointed with my slice of "The Super" I had Saturday afternoon. First, it took longer than it ever has for me to get one slice of pizza. It was 11:50 a.m. and not very crowded. The two tables adjacent to me came in well after me and had multiple people at their tables and got their pizza before me. When I tried to get the servers attention as he was delivering the order to the table next to me (there were (4) people there, I felt like he ignored me because I said, "excuse me," loud enough that everyone around to looked up, but him. I got up from my seat to go to him and he is on his way back carrying my slice of pizza. I asked him how did everybody else get their food before me, to which he stated, it takes the super much longer to cook because of all the toppings...to myself I am like whatever, it took (1) slice longer to cook than the other (6) peoples food around me to cook. He placed the slice down and walked away. The pizza did not look good, but I did not even bother telling him. I dont send food back, especially, after the service I received from him. The pizza was lukewarm and crust was very soggy (which tells me it had been sitting somewhere for a long time). I was just really disappointed because I love that spot- it is normally excellent and since it is close to home- my go to spot when I want a good authentic slice of pizza. I know everyone has a bad day and since I did not bring it to anymores attention (because I dont like to rock the boat), I really cant complain. I am just really disappointed because I have never had a not so good experience here. And also I left a tip when I paid (prior to receiving my table service because I have never had sub par service, guess I will not be doing that anymore either. It will likely be a while before I return. ***just needed to vent***

My 3 year old loves this pizza spot... But they have downsized in the recent weeks... So much so, that my 3 year old needs 2 slices and he used to get full from one... I hate it because he loves this place... It was like true NY pizza -3 stars Im changing get my review to 1 star because I think customer service, comfort, & speediness are all very important things. The past few months I have had nothing but issues with my pizza being served to me BURNT on the bottom to the point thats pretty much all I taste its so black. I have been told 15-20 minutes and waited with my hungry 4 year old for over 40 minutes for 3 slices of pizza. And was combatted and talked AT (not to) when I pointed it out. I have received slices of pizza so small I may as well went to Little Cesars and asked someone for 2 slices for a dollar of the $5 pizza. I have stood in line to pay for my order that was done and by the time she got to me she made me wait and started taking phone orders and said "we do things in an orderly fashion." ...I was in line before the phone rang while she was cashing out the person ahead of me. I spend A LOT of money here because my son loves it... Still. Its his treat meal. When I treat him out so I definitely hope some changes are made immediately

This was a pretty mediocre experience overall. The service was iffy, with the cashier being borderline offensive. The atmosphere of the restaurant could be OK, but it was noticeably unclean and we had to fight off several types of flies while we were eating. Add on top that the pizza was barely acceptable, lacking any character in the vegetables and generally being bland, then that it was $27 for a large 4-topping, and we have come to my 2 star rating. I get that its surrounded by divey bars and that EAV isnt targeting high class, but this place could be a TON better.

What happened to Grant Central? Went in to get one slice to go, told them to just put it in a box, that I didnt need it heated up. The cashier was confused by me paying 3.15 for a 2.65 slice of very small paper thin slice of pizza which they had put in the over which I waited 10 minutes for and which had a weird metallic taste. What happened guys? You used to be great. Maybe this was a one time thing and maybe Ill give you another shot, but Ill keep going to Fellinis, Pizza Cafe and the Pizza Man for now.

I LOVE TBE EAST LOCATION! I drive 45 mins to get food there. The other location the waitress was waaay too busy flirting w my husband. She wasnt being sneaky. She was flat out tryin to get with him. Ruined our night which happened to be our anniversary. He was disgusted w her. I left in tears. We ONLY gp to the east location now. Love everyone there. Laid back, great staff, comfy environment, & good prices. Worth the long drive. Working for Lyft I tell ppl about them all the time.

I always drop in when im craving pizza, especially since its so close to home. The pizza is great (for the price) and youll have LOTS of options to choose from as you build the pizza to your hearts desire. I always go pepperoni or sausage, mushrooms and sundried tomatoes…youre welcome. Be careful going on days where there are lots of families (after little league games - or early on Friday Nights)…they get backed up pretty quick and youll be waiting for a long time.

My favorite pizza shop in my vicinity! If you want to take pizza home, call ahead for pick up. The Super is a solid supreme-style pizza. I generally ask for "half the cheese" as the normal amount is intense. Their other specialty pizzas are also really good, including the gourmet vegetarian (and I love me some meat!). They have a few decent beers in cans, but their draft lines dont seem all that well cared for. Overall, a great EAV Pizza Shop.

Im not really a pizza eater so if I give it 4 stars that should hold some weight. I had a slice of cheese pizza and a specialty slice (cant think of the name of it). Both slices were delicious. The crust was perfect and the cheese was melted just right. The decor is unappealing. Id call it a dive bar. They dont have a full bar but they do offer a small selection of beer and wine.

Best place for pizza, calzones, and lasagna. My wife love this place. She doesnt eat meat so she always gets the mushroom lasanga or spinach and mushroom lasanga..Its real laid back and its the best in Atl. Ive been coming here for years. If you havent been here yet come here. You can seat yourself and just relax and drink a cold one or bring the kids for a family fun night.
