I am a 73 yr. old caregiver for my husband, who is 83 and has Myasthenia and Parkinson’s Disease. To help me, my daughter spent over $200.00 on a gift certificate from Healthy Chef Creations, who deliver meals. I went online to their site eight days ahead and ordered two meals to be delivered on Fri. 11/21, two on Fri. 11/28 and two on Fri. 12/5. First, I was told that “no one is working on Fri. 11/28, but the food would be delivered on the 21st and I “could freeze the two meals for 11/28”. I reluctantly agreed, since the point of this gift was “FRESH, NEVER FROZEN FOOD, WITH GUARANTEED OVERNIGHT DELIVERY” as they advertise on their site. I called them early Friday morning, 11/21, to find out what time the food would arrive, but got no answer. I called again later and left a message, but no one called me back. About 5 pm and anxious about dinner, I called again and was finally connected to someone. To my surprise, they said the food was “ready for pick-up”! (Twenty miles away!) So there I was, with nothing ready to give my husband for dinner, but not to worry… “We’ll deliver the food to you on Monday morning.” How’s that for FRESH? Cooked on Friday and delivered THREE DAYS LATER, oh, and I would have to freeze half of it for the next week, kind of like TV dinners, only more expensive. Needless to say, I immediately cancelled via e-mail (as they request on their site) and asked them to refund the money to my daughter. Think anyone apologized? Guess again. They called to tell me the Gift Certificate was "non-refundable" (also on their website). When I objected based on their false advertising, they hung-up on me.

I bought a gift certificate from Healthy Chef Creations for my boyfriend so that we could do a couples cooking class together. The classes claimed to be held the first Friday of every month but that is not the case. Every month they make a list of attendees and if they cant fill 8 spots, they dont hold a class. No big deal except that month after month they couldnt fill the spots. On 1 occasion the planets aligned and we could make a class but unfortunately had to cancel. When we tried to redeem the gift certificate later on a food delivery order (after being tired of scheduling dilemmas) they told us the certificate was already redeemed. They claimed we never cancelled our reservation for the class and that would cost us the full value (close to $200!) for ingredients and staff. So it was our word against theirs. I contacted the chef, John, to resolve the issue and he said "You cannot call 8 months later and say you want your money back! It is your fault not the businesses." That is a direct quote from his email. The best he could do was offer a 20% discount on a food order he said would help "recuperate your loss". I am shocked that a business that is based on customer experience cares so little about actually providing a good experience. I would not recommend this business to anyone who does not want to be hassled with impossible scheduling, told you spent money you didn’t, insulted and ultimately waste your money. Also, beware. The management team is planting positive reviews on multiple sites.

Convenient, fresh and tasty! My husband and I were impacted by Hurricane Matthew and our entire first floor of our house had to be gutted. Knowing I wouldnt have a kitchen for at least 2 months (except my microwave), I decided to look into these meal delivery services. I found Healthy Chef Creations used organic ingredients, and all that was required was a microwave! A lot of the other services just ship you the ingredients and you have to put it all together, however that clearly wasnt an option for us. We have been very pleased with the quality and taste of the food, the variety of the items and the service. Before our meals are delivered each week, I get to preview the menu and make changes. Being lactose intolerant, it was also easy for me to indicate any dietary restrictions and trust the food Im being delivered is aligned with those preferences. Using Healthy Chef Creations has been 1 less thing for us to worry about during the rebuild process. Our next meals just delivered today and I look forward to checking them out soon!

I have had the pleasure of buying meals from Healthy Chef Creations for a few years now. It started when I was told I was diabetic and I needed a healthier diet and to lose weight. I specified my likes/needs and dealt with the Sr. Program Coordinator Cara and I am happy to say, I accomplished my goals and then some ! I lowered my A1C, lost weight, am healthier and feel GREAT ! I loved the food they sent me (especially the filet mignon), I took a chance and ate food I had never tried before and also tried some I thought I didnt like, but turns out, the way they prepare it .... I LOVE IT :-) I would highly recommend them. The people are professional, knowledgeable, friendly, customer service focused and want to help you. The service is convenient and reliable. The food is good. I never got a meal I didnt like. I highly recommend !

Some researchers call the Mediterranean Diet the "prudent dietary pattern." Thats an accurate label, though it doesnt capture just how delicious and healthy these foods are. It is best to eat well throughout your entire life, but it is never too late to begin. When my Primary Care Doctor strongly suggested I lose weight, Healthy Chef Creations is where turned. It is perfect for me ... No planning No counting calories No shopping No chopping No cooking No leftovers No unused food left to rot in the refrigerator Most important for me is portion control WHATS NOT TO LOVE The food is delicious, the staff is wonderful to work with. When I finally reach my goal weight, I will continue to have my meals delivered to my door 5 days a week ~ PERFECT WAY TO MAINTAIN.

I ordered this for 2 months to make life a bit easier when our third baby was born in May. Were very happy with the quality, taste and convenience of the food! The meals are very healthy, so they also aided in losing some of the baby weight. My husband commented that the meat especially has all been excellent. He said that he would not have known that the food was from a delivery service if he didnt see the packaging. I would definitely recommend it!

Marvelous organic food, really tasty-- particularly the filet mignon, and the fish is out of this world. (I now love fish, yes that good). Fabulous service. Like dialing your favorite aunt. (Shout out to Shannon, you rock.) The best and most reliable diet partner out there! They keep you happy AND honest and the price is right! Word to the wise: when on their low calorie diet, ditch the salad dressing and use lemon or lime instead.

I used Healthy Chef Creations a few years ago and had a very bad experience. Was considering using them again but found that the negative reviews on Goggle match the experience I had then. It appears that things have not changed with this company which is shocking considering there are so many other options. If you are looking for healthy food delivery, go elsewhere

I am an "olde" lady and skeptical of "organic, no preservatives," etc. I am not well enough to cook for myself and have been disappointed by other food services. The Customer Support Service employees are thoughtful and kind. I can honestly say the food makes me feel better-- but it is also the best food Ive ever eaten!
