Another unplesant trip to Winter Garden Restaurant between 1:10pm and 2:20pm on their Cheeseburger Special Day... We arrived after the lunch rush and still we just waited 35 minutes for two uncooked cheeseburgers with unmelted cheese. We promptly sent them back and waited another 10 minutes for cooked versions. They came out good... While cashing out, (paying full price!), the cashier asked if everything was ok. As I was in the middle of telling her that I was there for OVER an hour etc..., she took a phone call. The cashier told Kathy, the owner, it was for her. Rather than get up and take the call, Kathy, the ower, made the cashier the middle person and started discussing the weekly schedule with the phone caller. (Kathy, the owner, GET UP and TAKE THE CALL YOURSELF!) The scheduling conversation went on for so long, that another waitress had to come over and finsh ringing up my check. Not once did Kathy, the owner, acknowledge the original delay, the uncooked burgers, nor the rudeness of me trying to pay for my food. Kathy needs to decide if she wants regulars that actually spend money and want good food AND service, or customers that sit in there for hours and only get a cup of coffee. There are plently of other locally owned restaurants in Winter Garden such as the MoonCricket, 4 Rivers, Taco Palenque, the Avalon Diner, the Ocoee Diner, and Wesleys Bar-b-que. All of which appreciate my business on a regular basis.

I will NEVER go to this place again. With all do respect the staff is completely and truthfully racist. The whole place including all the workers in the back are caucasian. Every single person who works there is caucasian. Are people of any nationality beside white allowed to work there? Nevertheless I was treated as dirt, my food was cold when i got it. The server forgot a side order that i made. YET everyone else in the restaurant (caucasian) was well taken care of. I know cause i sat there and watch how they treated my party and other parties. In this day and age i would hope we are not still catch up on the color of someones skin. Money is money whether black, white, hispanic, asian you name it we are all gifts from god. Everyone should be treated as a human being. I will never come back to this restaurant again nor will i ever recommend it. I am ashamed i brought my family to such a distressing place. The management team really needs to reconsider how things are ran here. There are no lies in my words just sharing my experience. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE!!!!!!!! and always rememberer "You never get a second chance at a first impression."

My wife & I stopped here for lunch today for the first time. Very clean/neat place. Nice decor. Wife had tuna melt, I had a reuben sandwich. The young woman server acted disinterested. The tuna melt was okay. My reuben sandwich was by far the worst excuse for a reuben sandwich I have ever had (and I am not a very picky eater). The corned beef, if thats what it was, was one razor thin slice on the rye bread. The sauerkraut was nearly nonexistent, as was the swiss cheese and the dressing. Several bites were simply bread. Seems like the owner has instructed the cook to mimimize the ingredients on the sandwiches. When asked about the meal, I mentioned this to both the server and the young male cashier. Both listened, but said nothing about possibly making it right. Poor training, I am guessing. Too bad, we prefer going to locally owned restaurants for a better atmosphere, but this place was definitely substandard when it comes to food. As stated, the place was clean & neat, but food and service are the main reasons people return to restaurants and this place failed in both.

Well I have eaten here 3 times already since finding it 6 months ago. Great food, Awesome pancakes, the staff was nice to me every time Ive been there and I will continue to go. I read the review above claiming racist people there. I myself on my first visit was waiting for my food and in front of me were 1 black female dressed with a flat billed hat, dreads, sagging pants and Air Jordans, and 1 black male dressed very similarly to her were sitting at a table waiting for their to go order. I can tell you the staff spoke to them constantly updating them and the black female surprised the hell out of me by speaking very educated and yes Maam , thank you maam and thank you so much as they took their food and left happy. Not a single issue. There were other good, well dressed, happy black families there enjoying breakfast after Church the Sunday I went with my family. I still have not seen any issues of racism there. Just my 2 cents. God Bless

Nice service. Great tasting food....if it was hot. We waited for over a half an hour to get our 2 plates breakfast of biscuits and gravy and a regular skillet (mostly pre-made food). The skillets gravy was cold and had about 4-5 shreds of cheese on it...had to ask for more. I also had to wait for my biscuit which came out barely warm. I decided to save my food for home where I could heat it up and eat it the way it was supposed to be served. It would have been a great first time if the food came out on time, had a correct amount of ingredients, and was hot. We will try again though. Good luck!

My co-workers recommended this tiny lil place and good LORD was it perfection. I ordered the Country Fried Skillet it was so much food I dont have to buy lunch. If you go here you MUST order the biscuit. Ill post a pic of it on Trip Advisor, because it was by far the largest biscuit Ive ever seen. Local business with ample portions & practical prices. In Winter Garden you can spend $8 on a slice of pizza - good heavens WG is an expensive place to eat, but Winter Garden Restaurant actually gives you your monies worth. If you can...Try this place out.

I dont normally write reviews. But what i witnessed was digusting. A young waitress with black rimmed glasses was chatting with some customers how she was caught cheating. Then blaming the poor girls that worked there. Then proceeded to treat those girls like garbage. That young lady has some psychological issues. I went there for a quiet breakfast but had to see and hear something offensive. If she has a mother she obviously hasnt done her job. She should be fired for acting and talking to customers in that manner. Unprofessional

If you want a hometown atmosphere and good hometown cooking served by a staff of people that care about your dining experience - this is where you want to eat. We are semi-wintergardeners. Our hometown is Fort Lauderdale. We try to eat at WG restaurant as often as we can when in town. Not only do we have a laugh or two while eating good food, we often have a tear or two observing the old time love of a town that imbraces outsiders as their own. Love this restaurant, owner, daughter, staff and the locals!

Much easier parking to get in and out of than other Downtown Winter Garden restaurants. Waitress was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed without having to look for her. Great place to have lunch and talk even though it can get busy that is part of the atmosphere. Burgers and lunch special were great the portion was more than good. No problems will go back again. Good hometown food this is where the locals eat and that says everything when looking for a good place to eat.
