Lets see where to begin, first of all they had us waiting around for about 2 hours after they told us that the way is only 30 minutes. Luckily for me I speak very poor Cantonese and most of the restaurant staff is Chinese. The staff literally lied to my face and then told their co-workers that they were stalling. They finally sit us down our Chef comes out about 30 minutes later which is normal for Hibachi. Chefs great guy from Hong Kong. He cooks our food and we eat and one of my friends orders salmon. The salmon for some unknown reason has a mucus like film between the folds in the muscle. He complains about it and our chef give him another salmon steak and the same thing happens. Instead of just taking the meal off his bill since he didnt eat anything the manager nickel and dimes him for the rice the vegetables and the soup and salad and try to charge him $25. He asked to speak with the manager who tried to explain to him that slime was normal. My friend lost his appetite and simply wanted to leave. After some discussion the manager finally agreed to comp portions of the bill. As she walked off she shouted some insulting things in Cantonese. I only give this place two stars because our chef tried to remedy the situation needless to say I wont be returning there are a few better Hibachi places wheres the wait staff has better customer service skills. Go to Benihana or check out Shogun in South Miami trust me

This place deserves 0 stars. Experience was awful. We asked to be changed from hibachi to our own table seating because of the sensitivity of the flames from the cooking(we changed our minds)Hence the cook wasnt even their yet so thats why we decided to change before they started. All they did was bring us our drinks. The hosts were perfectly fine with the change and we apologized for the inconvenience that it may cause but the waitress was upset and made rude comments. Our new waitress was rude and rushing us. She kept saying its going to be different food from the hibachi. Weve gone to benihannas several times and both private table and hibachi food are same (pricing varies) once we received our food the fried rice was burnt(without eggs which fried rice usually comes with) and the meat was fat. We explained it to our waitress and she rolled her eyes and start gossiping to another server near by the situation. Instead of offering us a new one she said you want white rice which is not what comes with the meal. To even top things off a random server came to serve us water which our glasses were already full and served us disgusting tasting (sweet) water. My boyfriends stomach started hurting immediately after we left.It was such a bad experience. Not worth the money! Never again! Stay away from this place the cooks are not even Japanese.

Dined here on christmas with my girlfriend and family. We were very impressed with the food and chef, but not our waitress, Betty, who pretty much ruined our entire experience. We had asked for the happy hour wine, asked if that was the house wine which she said it was. Turns out it wasn't, and we were overcharged by $27. When we politely brought this to her attention, she denied ever saying it was the happy hour wine, and argued us down until a manager arrived and rectified the issue. Betty also informed us, prior to dropping our check, that they were out of tempura ice cream. About 10 minutes later, another server accidently arrived at out table with tempura ice cream, meant for another table, and which was ordered after we were told they were out. We were lied to by our waitress in order to flip our table. The manager was present while this happened, seem embarrassed for the mix up, and informed us the kitchen told our waitress they were out. Another lie. It's quite unbelievable this restaurant would blatantly lie to us after spending about $140 on dinner, to just turn us out, when we would have stayed no more than an extra 5 minutes to split a dessert 4 ways. This is a terrible business tactic, and I hope no one else experiences what we did, especially on an important occasion as christmas.

I have been to Japan Inn a hand full of times and loved it, both in their Weston and Plantation locations. I convinced friends of our to go with us tonight for their first visit and tonights experience, by far, was the worst. First of all, we had an 8:00 reservation and did not get seated until 8:45. Then while eating our food, someone at the table found hair in their rice. Unaware of this, I continued to eat my food until I found hair in my rice. Still trying to stomach the experience and enjoy my food, I tried to continue until a 3rd person found hair in their rice. We asked to speak to the manager, who in turn offered us free desert. We all said no and he turned around and offered us 20%. REALLY?? I hardly ate my food as the rice is the first to be cooked as well as the others at the table. He said the owners were out of the country and his hands were tied and was not able to do anything about the meals that had the hair. Im sorry, this is not the first restaurant I have been to that has had an issue and the manager has ALWAYS taken care of it. But expecting me to pay for a meal that was inedible and give me 20% is ridiculous. This was the last time I will be visiting the Weston location. Words to any new goers....check you rice!!!!!

My husband and I have eaten at this particular location three times and although we always have the same Hibachi chef, his name is always different! LoL....hes a great, entertaining, full of life character though and he makes the experience that much better. I am only giving three stars based on our experience last night. Im not going to type up the entire story, but I will warn, others at your table determine when YOU eat. We sat at our table for over an hour (a table we waited about 40 minutes for), but because of the people at our table we watched two other tables seated after us order, eat, get their to go containers and leave before our chef even showed up! I kept complaining and was constantly apologized and lied to. I can promise you though, as apologetic as they were, that $100 bill was STILL a $100 bill! They were apologetic, but not enough to even comp the sodas. Ill still go back though...

We come here all the time despite the questionable hygiene of the entire place. The food is usually very tasty, we eat Hibachi and sushi. The drinks and service is very good as well. Tonight we ate there and me and my husband got very sick about an hour ago. Vomiting, diarrhea, stomach ache, abdominal cramps. I guess it was inevitable based on the extremely digesting kitchen area that is just next to the restrooms and both areas smell so bad you have to hold your breath passing it. What a shame. How can they cook in such conditions??? Will not go back again for more food poisoning paying $90 per 2 people.
